Chapter 243: Ruthless Strike
"Go inside and call Anguo and Xiaobao out." Yi Roujing looked directly at the strong man in front of her and said to Xia Xingchen behind her, "Take the child with you."
"Sister-in-law, you, you, I..."
"You staying is a burden; I still have to protect you." As soon as Yi Roujing said this, Xia Xingchen immediately realized, turned around, and quickly ran towards the train.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please call the train station staff. These two people are human traffickers, attempting to sell my younger sister and her child." Yi Roujing said loudly.
"Human traffickers, these two are human traffickers."
Cai Xiaofen frowned a little when she saw Yi Roujing come out, but thinking that Dalei dealing with two women wasn’t a problem, she didn’t intervene. Little did she know that she had indeed misjudged, as Yi Roujing had some skills and had just shown a move that could kick Dalei back.
"It was you, this woman, who led my wife astray." The tall and burly Dalei, who stood nearly 1.9 meters, looked at Yi Roujing angrily.
"What’s your wife’s name?" someone around asked, "They’re saying you’re a human trafficker."
"His wife’s name is Xia Xingchen, nineteen this year. If you don’t believe it, you can ask." Cai Xiaofen cried out, "My brother married this wife two years ago, and now she’s been led astray by being with bad company."
"Yes, go ask." Yi Roujing said calmly, "Would you please help report this to the police? There’s nothing the police comrades can’t find out."
"You’ve got quite the scheme, getting chummy with people by asking for their names and ages in the restroom. We ordinary people are straightforward by nature, and you took advantage of that to traffic people."
"If I hadn’t come out quickly, my sister would have been forcibly taken away by you. Our family raises girls with care, we wouldn’t even let a strand of her hair be harmed. And what are you to dare to lay hands on my sister?" Yi Roujing’s expression was stern, her words laced with anger.
Yi Roujing stepped forward, the man took a step back, and Yi Roujing turned to look at Cai Xiaofen, who had a momentary look of panic and instinctively turned to run. Yi Roujing stepped forward and grabbed Cai Xiaofen’s hair.
"Ah—"
Yi Roujing did not hold back, striking viciously, and Cai Xiaofen screamed in pain on the spot.
"Hurts, doesn’t it? That’s exactly how you were holding my sister earlier." Yi Roujing gritted her teeth and said.
Yi Roujing, being tall, held Cai Xiaofen’s hair effortlessly with her left hand, tugging strongly, forcing Cai Xiaofen’s face up. Her right hand slapped down hard, and Cai Xiaofen’s left cheek instantly swelled up, with her mouth corner split, bleeding.
"Hurts, doesn’t it? Got stunned from being hit?" Yi Roujing sneered, her mouth curving into a cold smile, "You didn’t hold back just now either."
"Dalei, what are you standing there for, ah—" Cai Xiaofen couldn’t believe how strong Yi Roujing’s grip was. No matter how she struggled, it was futile; she wanted to kick, to hit, yet couldn’t land a single blow. She panicked.
Yi Roujing pushed forcefully, sending Cai Xiaofen tumbling to the ground. She then squatted down and slid sideways, dodging the strong man’s punch from behind.
Dalei dared not underestimate Yi Roujing now. She was swift and agile. If it weren’t for his advantage in height and strength, he would already have been knocked to the ground by her.
"Dalei, ruin her face for me." Cai Xiaofen’s face was swollen like a pig’s head, filled with anger.
"Sister-in-law—" Ding Anmin and a few others struggled to push through the crowd trying to board the train, running towards Yi Roujing, with Ding Anguo, Huang Xiaobao, and Ding Weihuo following close behind, Li Hongying holding the child, and Xia Xingchen at the back, her face’s bruises glaringly visible.
Cai Xiaofen truly hadn’t expected them to have so many people, and Dalei panicked, the two turning to flee in unison. Ding Anguo and Huang Xiaobao rushed ahead, "Anguo, Xiaobao, you two handle the man. I’ll take care of the woman."
Yi Roujing restrained Cai Xiaofen, but when truly facing danger, people can burst with more strength than usual. Concerned about the child in her belly, Yi Roujing didn’t dare to use excessive force. Fortunately, Ding Anmin arrived just in time, kicking Cai Xiaofen’s rear and knocking her to the ground, then mounting her to start beating.
"I’ll teach you to hit Xingchen, to bully my sister-in-law, to traffic people..." Ding Anmin said, hitting as she spoke.
On the other side, Yi Roujing was surprised; she hadn’t expected Huang Xiaobao to have decent moves, clearly learned through training. Ding Anguo relied on his strength, but was smart enough to avoid harm, and together they subdued Dalei.
After tying the two up with straw ropes, the train staff and police arrived.
"Who reported encountering human traffickers?" the young policeman asked loudly, "Who was trafficked?"
"Here, here." Ding Anmin pulled Xia Xingchen along to the police, explaining in detail where they came from and where they were going. She also took out the train tickets and the introduction letter, leaving no ambiguity.
"Wow, these folks have jobs in the city, official introduction letters from the county government. These two sure have thick skins, claiming to be someone’s spouse."
"I did say their clothing looked quite different, though I hadn’t expected them to be scammers."
"What, you all were saying they had wild ideas before, with one foot on either side."
...
The people around them were abuzz with conversation, the young policeman looking a bit uncomfortable as he turned to glance at another officer nearby, worn-out-looking and about forty-ish, in uniform.
"Wasn’t there a child trafficking case too?" the young policeman asked another question.
"Yes." Yi Roujing stepped forward, "I became suspicious of this woman because of the child she was holding."
Yi Roujing gestured for Li Hongying to come forward, revealing the child in her arms, and began explaining the suspicious points.
"I originally planned to report this to the conductor later, but they were excessively bold, setting their sights on our family in the meantime, catching them red-handed," Yi Roujing said.
"Gao, Gao, come look. This isn’t your brother’s child, is it?" The young policeman hurriedly scooped up the child from Li Hongying’s arms, unwrapped him to check carefully, while the other officer stepped forward to verify, disappointment in his eyes.
"No."
"Officer, you must interrogate these two severely; they are clearly repeat offenders, likely having trafficked many before. They must have accomplices to dispose of the children and girls, with traffickers knowing each other all over," Yi Roujing said, deliberately expressing righteous indignation.
"Thank you, comrade, but we also ask you to come to the station with us," the young policeman said.
"Ah? To the station? Then we’ll miss our train to Jing City," Ding Weihuo said, a bit stunned, worried they wouldn’t make it.
"Let them go, take note of their contact information and address. Once verified, they can be on their way," said the middle-aged policeman. After obtaining the Jing City phone number from Yi Roujing and the others, he used the train station’s phone to confirm contact, allowing them to board the train and leave.
