Chapter 1476 - 1477: In a Panic

At midnight, Jess led four squads, snaking and crouching, stealthily advancing all the way to the outskirts of the Blue Sword Special Forces Brigade camp.

At the barbed wire gate, there were four sentries, two visible and two hidden, all armed with rifles.

Although the training bullets were made of rubber, when shot at the human body, they could still be very fierce. A fierce barrage could cause serious injury.

Jess's eyes were fixed on a row of barracks beyond the barbed wire.

There were a total of seven barracks, and in one of the larger ones, under a faint yellow light, long shadows could be seen, and occasional sounds of chatter and laughter could be heard.

Jess's lips curled into a contemptuous smile; it seemed the Blue Sword Commander hadn't anticipated a night raid tonight.

After all, Blue Sword's reputation was widespread, and most special forces didn't dare provoke them.

Behind Jess stood Ergos, the captain of the Beret Special Forces.

He was a typical Germanic person, with a straw-colored beard and piercing blue eyes, his mouth tightly clenched, showing a cold and resolute line.

Ergos crept up, tapped Jess on the shoulder, and made a gesture asking whether to attack.

Jess shook his head; to ensure nothing went wrong, he preferred to see clearly before taking action.

After a long time, the sounds from the barracks gradually faded, even the lights went out, and the dark was very quiet.

Jess made up his mind and, through the local network communication device, gave orders to all the special forces soldiers.

"First Squad, prepare to attack and resolve the fight within three minutes."

Upon finishing his words, the First Squad leaped up, rushing first toward the two sentries.

And the First Squad of the Beret, behind him, almost simultaneously charged toward the other two sentries.

The four special forces soldiers swiftly subdued the four sentries without making any sound.

The two squads, crouching low, moved in quick strides toward the largest barrack.

According to the rules of camp stealing, one must subdue the opponent's main general to deem the action successful, which was a typical decapitation strike.

Thus, the largest barrack became the prime target for both squads' attack.

Jess and Ergos, the two Major Generals, were both a bit nervous.

Their eyes were fixed on the soldiers storming into the barracks, while also listening to the sounds on the communication channel.

Their sight showed two lines of soldiers, in combat formation, rushing into the barracks without encountering any resistance.

Jess and Ergos both relaxed, exchanging a glance, a mocking smile appearing at their lips.

Jess exhaled a long breath, handing Ergos a cigar.

"The Blue Sword Brigade is getting worse, so easily beheaded."

"Such poor fighters also dare to compete for the Global Special Forces Championship, it's a joke."

Ergos nodded, unabashedly lighting up the cigar.

The two special squads charged into the command tent, the raid already a success, Ergos no longer needed to hide his shape.

The following actions would become easy and pleasant.

In no more than three to five minutes, the two special squads would escort the captives, then report the results, awaiting the judgment of the Special Forces Competition Committee.

A minute later, the barracks were still silent, and Jess and Ergos both sensed something was amiss.

The two squads that charged into the barracks disappeared without a sound after entering.

Under normal circumstances, there should be gunfire inside the barracks, along with sounds of alarm and commotion from the opposition.

But now, the barracks were deathly quiet, without a single sound.

The two squads seemed to have vanished into thin air as if swallowed by the earth.

The dark hole of a barrack looked like a devil's gaping mouth, cold sweat dripped from Jess and Ergos's foreheads, sending chills down their spines.

"Could it be a trap?"

Jess and Ergos exchanged a glance, seeing the confusion in each other's eyes.

Jess gritted his teeth, trying to contact the missing squad leader.

"Bruce, what's the situation? If you hear me, answer."

The communicator on the other end remained silent, with no sound whatsoever.

Ergos also attempted to contact his troops, but still received no response, as if everyone had vanished.

Then, a gruff voice suddenly came through both their earpieces simultaneously.

"They're done for; neither will you escape."

The message left Jess and Ergos shivering, both of them jumping up abruptly.

Jess's shout echoed almost instantly across the communication channel.

"The enemy is ambushing us; breakout immediately!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As gunshots rang out, successive flares shot into the sky, instantly illuminating the area as bright as day.

Jess and Ergos had just turned around to see densely built fortifications in an arc outside the barbed wire.

A mass of Blue Sword Special Forces rushed out like a tide, all wielding rifles.

Countless black muzzles aimed at Jess, Ergos, and several other squads.

Inside the barbed wire, in the not-so-distant barracks, the lights flared brightly.

Li Guoqing stepped boldly out of the barracks, holding a bundle of rifles in his arms, dropping them to the ground;

He pointed a finger at Jess and Ergos and shouted in a deep voice.

"Since you're here, don't think about leaving. Surrender your weapons immediately, or don't blame me for being rude."

Behind Li Guoqing, Yang Fei, with a cunning smile, held a folding fan, gently waving it.

If not for his military uniform, he would look just like Kong Ming.

The guy's folding fan was tiny, only palm-sized, looking quite comical, but he waved it eagerly.

"Talking about camp scouting, Huaxia people are your ancestors. Damn it, you haven't even read half of the Three Kingdoms, yet you want to steal camp. Dumbass!"

"Go!"

Jess knew at a glance of the bundle of rifles that the squads he sent out had been captured.

However, as long as he himself, the lead general, wasn't captured, the mission wouldn't be a total failure.

He flew like an arrow off the string, breaking out to the southeast.

The man's figure, blazing fast, like an American Panther, sped like lightning.

Yang Fei, shocked, exclaimed, "This guy is actually a Master of Gangjin, catch him!"

Jess abandoned his soldiers and Ergos, pushing his speed to the limit.

But just as he dashed a dozen yards, an iron-tower figure rushed over like a wild horse.

Mad Blade!

Mad Blade's military boxing was at its peak, wildly fierce, his entire body could turn into hundreds of fists, fists shadowing like a mountain, pounding toward Jess.

Jess felt a chill in his heart, glanced back, seeing Yang Fei's figure drawing trails in the air.

In an instant, Yang Fei was within fifty meters of Jess.

Jess had never seen anyone reach such speed!

He dared not linger any longer, forcibly taking a punch from Mad Blade, and his body flew out like a kite with a broken string.

Mad Blade hesitated, not expecting this guy to be so fragile.

He suddenly realized and burst into curses.

"Damn it, if you have guts, fight three hundred rounds with me, don't run!"

It turned out Jess, in his desperation, endured a punch from Mad Blade, borrowing his strength to fly further away and escape further.
