Chapter 1460 - 1454: Boyfriend
"Miss, don't get excited yet. Let's talk things over calmly. This isn't the way to handle things!" After waiting a moment, Lin Chuan saw that Yu Xiaohui had calmed down a bit and began to comfort her. "Whatever it is, let's go inside and talk about it. It's embarrassing to let everyone watch like this!"
Only then did Yu Xiaohui notice the curious looks from everyone around. She slightly loosened her grip on Lin Chuan and stepped back a few steps, ordering, "You come in first!"

Yu Xiaohui glared at Lin Chuan and gritted her teeth, "You still have the nerve to talk? If it weren't for you, I wouldn't even want to go home now!"
"What? What on earth are you talking about?" Lin Chuan didn't understand what Yu Xiaohui meant and threatened impatiently, "If you don't explain clearly, I'm not talking to you anymore. I haven't done anything wrong, and I'm not afraid of you causing trouble for me!"
Yu Xiaohui glanced at Lin Chuan, took a moment to gather her emotions, and then explained her recent situation over the past few days.
It turned out that ever since Yu Xiaohui and Lin Chuan went to the police station to deliver a suspect, Yu Minen and her mother assumed they were in a relationship. Especially her mother, who kept nagging Yu Xiaohui about Lin Chuan, hoping she would bring him home to meet the family.
Yu Minen was also driven mad by his wife's endless nagging. By chance, he ran into Lin Chuan again while working on a case and used the opportunity to learn more about him. When he got home, he reported to his wife what he thought of Lin Chuan.

"You're coming home with me tonight!" Yu Xiaohui said assertively, leaving no room for argument.

Even though I'm all alone in this world without family, getting married and having children are life matters to be taken step-by-step. They shouldn't be handled so rashly, or I'd regret it for a lifetime!" Lin Chuan's face turned deathly pale, this girl's really impulsive!
"Ugh!" Yu Xiaohui spat at Lin Chuan again and scolded loudly, "What nonsense are you talking about? Who's asking you to go home with me for that? I just want you to come and clear things up. Otherwise, they're going to drive me crazy!"
Lin Chuan felt slightly relieved but immediately worried again. Why should he go and explain anything? He hadn't done anything wrong, and clearing things up like this would just make it seem like there's something between them!
Noticing Lin Chuan's hesitation, Yu Xiaohui immediately threatened, "Are you coming with me or not? If you don't, I'll scream for help, and then you'll be even more embarrassed!"
"A truly cruel woman's heart! You're not even a real woman yet, and you're already this ruthless. What'll it be like when you become a real woman?" Lin Chuan thought to himself, breaking into a cold sweat.
But it seemed Yu Xiaohui's words were effective. Lin Chuan, uncomfortable with Yu Minen's pestering, figured this was a good opportunity to clear things up and make his future days more peaceful!
"Alright, I agree, but on the condition that you make sure your parents believe that nothing ever happened between us!" Lin Chuan felt too embarrassed to say his next words out loud.
"Are you wondering if proving I'm still a virgin would strengthen the point that we're not in a relationship?" Yu Xiaohui picked up on Lin Chuan's implication and openly addressed the question that was on his mind.
Lin Chuan chuckled awkwardly and looked Yu Xiaohui up and down. Despite her wearing a white coat, it couldn't hide her slim figure. Her backside was round and perky, especially her chest, which was so prominent that it'd make anyone want to reach out and grab them.
No wonder he'd felt two soft masses against his back earlier. It turned out to be this little girl's "milk towers," which he hadn't noticed before. Now that he was taking a closer look, they were quite sizable! Lin Chuan couldn't stop fantasizing in his mind.
"Are you really still a virgin?" After his mental rundown of Yu Xiaohui, Lin Chuan mumbled quietly, "And if you say you are, how could you prove it?"
Yu Xiaohui ignored Lin Chuan's lewd expression and was about to turn away when an older doctor opened the door and came in.
"What's going on here...?" The old doctor looked at Lin Chuan and Yu Xiaohui in confusion. Why were they still in his office, and why was there a crowd outside pointing and gossiping as if talking about them?
Yu Xiaohui quickly realized what was happening, a blush spread on her face, and she awkwardly gestured to Lin Chuan, whispering, "He's my boyfriend!"
"Oh!" The old doctor suddenly understood, nodding lightly. He looked Lin Chuan over, then looked at Yu Xiaohui, as if realizing something. He thought for a moment but couldn't help but say, "Xiao Hui, you're a nurse yourself and know about basic human knowledge. In whatever you do, you must ensure safety as a priority. Otherwise, look at what you've done to your boyfriend..."
"I... I get it!" Yu Xiaohui's face flushed bright red. She hung her head low and slowly walked out of the office!
Lin Chuan gave the old doctor a grateful smile before quickly running out after her.
Just as he stepped out of the old doctor's office, Lin Chuan couldn't contain himself anymore and burst into loud laughter. Seeing Yu Xiaohui walking slowly down the hallway ahead, he picked up his pace to catch up!
"What did that doctor mean earlier?" Lin Chuan saw Yu Xiaohui's face still flushed and deliberately teased her, as if saying 'serves you right for acting tough in front of me just now.'
Yu Xiaohui glanced at Lin Chuan from the corner of her eye without a word and walked on ahead.
Lin Chuan realized Yu Xiaohui might actually be a bit upset now, so he said nothing more and just slowly followed behind her!
Yu Xiaohui walked into a large office where three or five nurses were busily working. When they saw her come in, they all turned their gaze toward Lin Chuan behind her. Two young nurses kept pointing and quietly gossiping about something!
"Xiao Hui, is this really your boyfriend?" One of the young nurses, who was on good terms with Yu Xiaohui, asked with a smile.
Pretending to be angry, Yu Xiaohui pinched the fair neck of the young nurse and threatened, "Xiao Jie, I'm telling you, if you dare talk nonsense again, I'll strangle you!"
"Spare me, sister, I won't dare anymore!" The young nurse, called Xiao Jie, immediately pleaded, then glanced at Lin Chuan, who was still calm, giggling as she whispered in Yu Xiaohui's ear, "Sister Xiao Hui, look, he's followed you here. You really shouldn't deny it; it's just not fair to him!"
"Get lost...," and Yu Xiaohui playfully punched Xiao Jie, then turned to see Lin Chuan standing dumbfounded at the door. Her eyebrows knitted slightly as she walked up to him!
"You wait for me outside for a bit; my shift is almost over. We'll head home once I'm off," Yu Xiaohui said without expression.
Lin Chuan said nothing. Since he'd agreed, he could only pass the time slowly in the hallway outside. It's like self-inflicted punishment!
"Sister Xiao Hui, why did you chase him away? Why not let him sit inside?"
"Yeah, yeah, he hardly ever comes here, and we haven't even gotten a good look at him yet; how could you just send him off like that?"
"Sister Xiao Hui, what did you mean by going home together just now? We really don't get it!"
"By the way, Xiao Hui, it doesn't seem like your boyfriend came here to see you. I saw him going to Director Wang's office earlier. Is something wrong with him?"

Inside the nurses' office, everyone began loudly gossiping. Their relationship with Yu Xiaohui was usually quite good, so joking around was normal. Yu Xiaohui didn't take her sisters' comments to heart!
By the time Yu Xiaohui got off work, dusk was approaching.
"Let's go!" Yu Xiaohui found Lin Chuan nearly asleep on a long bench in the hallway, shook him awake, and said expressionlessly.
Though deeply thankful to Lin Chuan, especially since he saved her life on the bus a while back—which made him far better than average men—Yu Xiaohui had slowly turned her gratitude into annoyance and even resentment due to her parents' constant nagging.
Of course, it wasn't entirely Yu Xiaohui's parents' fault; they just wanted to have a grandchild soon. Yu Xiaohui is already in her twenties, long past college. Some of her peers already have kids or are married.
Mr. and Mrs. Yu were gradually getting anxious. Initially, they introduced some well-matched boys, but Yu Xiaohui rejected them all. Now, finally hearing Yu Xiaohui found someone herself, how could they not be happy!
The two of them came to the bus stop outside, waiting for the bus that went to Yu Xiaohui's house.
Lin Chuan didn't know where Yu Xiaohui lived, plus he was flat broke right now, so he didn't try to show off and suggest they take a taxi home.
It was rush hour, and the bus stop was packed with men and women ready to board the bus, including some students.
"Did you come to the hospital to see a doctor today?" During the wait, Lin Chuan and Yu Xiaohui stood close, which was a bit awkward. To ease the awkwardness, Yu Xiaohui quietly asked.
'Of course, what else would one do at a hospital if not see a doctor?' Lin Chuan scoffed silently to himself but said nothing, only nodding lightly as a response.
Yu Xiaohui appeared deep in thought and nodded, then suddenly asked, "So it's still not better?"
"That's odd; I clearly saw nothing wrong last time, so why hasn't it healed?" Yu Xiaohui muttered quietly, and after saying that, as if realizing something, her face flushed red again.
