The Supreme Beauty Fell in Love with Me

Chapter 1312 - 1307: Kobold

With a bang, the enormous sound reverberated throughout the room.

"Damn it, this group of giant monsters, I'll kill you all." The sharp voice from outside resounded once more.

They were startled, but it wasn't this room they disturbed.

The sound came from beasts, and in the end, Lin Chuan could only dodge with a charge, causing the monster to bite directly into the pillar, several teeth broke, and the impact was significant, leaving it somewhat dazed.

Lin Chuan wouldn't give it any chance; Blue Amber stabbed right in from the back of its head, and did so repeatedly, and the monster eventually collapsed softly.

"Damn monsters, I'll kill you all." Suddenly, a towering figure appeared, much taller than a human, holding a large bow, and roaring as he walked towards the opposite ear chamber. Lin Chuan happened to see it at the doorway, a perfect opportunity.

Lin Chuan dashed forward with a charge, but didn't collide with the archer, as he was somewhat alert and already started shouting.

Lin Chuan regretted not getting closer; he messed it up, and he still didn't know how many monsters were here, with two ear chambers and a back hall, surely there were more monsters, which could spell trouble.

No time to think about it now. Solve this guy first, then use this place as a battleground. Guarding the doorway well means less fear, at least providing a buffer.

Looking at this person taller than a human, no, he was indeed just a tall person, supposedly the one guarding these monsters.

Lin Chuan charged again, crashing into his abdomen, and this time he didn't even let him make a sound. With mouth agape and hands wielding the bow, he was too close to draw it. Perfect timing, Lin Chuan coldly swung Blue Amber again, slashing at his back, causing the opponent to stagger without dying, so Lin Chuan had to stab again, finally pinning the archer to the floor.

Lin Chuan's heart raced. Although the battle just now wasn't dangerous, the next one might be, and he had no idea how many more it might attract.

Footsteps echoed, and they were chaotic, indicating many people. Lin Chuan calmed himself down, because in battle, the mind must remain cool and ready to adapt, or there would be no hope.

The footsteps, though chaotic, weren't hurried, indicating they weren't prepared, just alert, giving Lin Chuan a slight chance for a turnaround—definitely a good situation for him.

Lin Chuan hid by the door, hearing footsteps around, and some departing, potentially heading to the opposite side. Soon, footsteps approached the room, each step pounding in Lin Chuan's heart like a little drum, his hands pale from gripping the sword hilt tightly.

"Where are they?" A burlier archer entered, visibly a leader, annoyed at the empty room, voiced his displeasure.

He happened to turn his back to Lin Chuan. Lin Chuan felt Lady Luck's skirt brushing his way; nothing could be better than this.

Lin Chuan decisively slit his throat from behind with Blue Amber, blue blood spurted high, and the guy had decent defenses, reacting quickly. Sensing something wrong, he resisted immediately, but his injuries were severe. He was beyond saving.

The fight ended easily for Lin Chuan. Another charge left the opponent in the room, denying the chance to alert others.

"There's movement here, damn." Suddenly, an odd-looking figure appeared outside.

It had a human body but a head like a dog's.

A Kobold—Lin Chuan's mind shouted the name, not understanding why it popped up. From the footsteps, there wasn't just one, and with determination, he charged out.

He collided right into the incoming Kobold; caught off guard, Lin Chuan unleashed a skill, deciding the outcome swiftly. The Kobold tumbled back, a large wound gaping on its chest, blood flowing, yet it seemed unfazed, springing up and swinging a large axe.

Then came the second Kobold, the third.

It was three; one by one, they squeezed into the room. Lin Chuan didn't want to engage outside, unsure of more monsters, opting to minimize the risk of being surrounded. He also kept an eye on the doorway—noticing anything wrong, he should escape if needed. There were two rooms, plenty of space.

"Tear him apart!" The injured Kobold yelled.

The Kobold was furious, its heart throbbing painfully, enraged at the ambush. Damn it, that treacherous human would pay for his actions.

Lin Chuan was exceptionally cautious, even walking purposefully, luring the three Kobolds away from the doorway. With their strength aura, they were terribly formidable. Blocking the door would leave him no chance.

Empowered by the strength aura, the Kobolds charged recklessly at him, lacking the intention to block the doorway. This gave Lin Chuan an opportunity to charge right to the door, a narrow passage, with stone walls thick and broad, allowing one-on-one combat. He used the terrain to his advantage, positioning himself, limiting their attacks to one at a time.

Seeing the distance shorten, Lin Chuan engaged a Kobold. Its strength was immense, forcing Lin Chuan to step back upon blocking. But only one step—otherwise, it'd slip out, which wasn't what Lin Chuan wanted.

Despite the risk of injuries, Lin Chuan charged and slashed fiercely, effective but leaving his right arm numb and wounded badly.

No idea how the Kobold he'd crashed into fared, now he could only guard the doorway—his most favorable spot.

"He's in that room." The Kobold waved a large hand, rushing in with others.

Then, two monsters appeared, almost colliding with the Kobolds.

The Kobolds were reckless, boasting superior physiques, dismissing other monsters, though formidable, as trivial. Refusing to cooperate like giant creatures, they rushed to the forefront. Lin Chuan found it amusing; they were indeed arrogant, yet this was ideal.

It was coming, the twice-wounded Kobold was furious, and after steadying, charged forth, his path blocked by his comrade. His disgrace unavenged, he shoved aside his subordinate. But another shadow loomed, dodged out of instinct, yet this time, it was too quick to notice.

It was a Crossbow Arrow, piercing the previous injury, almost knocking him down. That damn human.

The Kobold's eyes turned a blood-red, unnaturally bright. Lin Chuan sensed something amiss as the charge began. Not staying at the door, he swiftly loaded another arrow.

Infuriated, the Kobold saw his opponent's cowardice—unwilling to fight face-to-face. Infuriatingly, it found itself by the door, obstructed, and couldn't dodge the incoming bolt, darkness descending as he vowed vengeance.

Seeing him still eager to charge, Lin Chuan noticed the reckless nature, aiming to thwart his plan. Charging again, he rammed fiercely into the body.

Not good! Lin Chuan realized the recklessness but was already committed.

Damn creature, a menace even in death, trying to take someone with it. Luckily, Lin Chuan was prepared, or he might've ended up in hell, continuing the battle.

The monsters, though slow, were cunning, blocking key exits. With wings spread, they barricaded the door, preventing Lin Chuan from escaping. Yet he didn't plan on fleeing, instead joining the battle with the Kobold.

The conflict was brutal; Lin Chuan couldn't repeatedly charge and needed to reserve some energy for escape. The Kobold remained mostly intact, forcing head-on collisions, a definitive test of manliness.

The Kobold eventually fell in resignation, and the two monsters realized the peril, cautiously closing in, but their numbers too few. Though large in stature, the room was more expansive, leaving gaps that Lin Chuan exploited, charging out, striking one on his way.

The monsters were sluggish, and as they turned, Lin Chuan was ready with a hand crossbow. Those damn creatures, now it was their turn. Want to guard the door? Let them.

Lin Chuan felt no lingering concerns now, weary after prolonged fighting, leaning against a wall, leisurely shooting at the two monsters.
