Chapter 1285 - 1281: Long Deng (Part 2)
"I didn't expect you to collect this so thoroughly!" Feng'er said to Ye Ling, and then prepared to leave. Before leaving, she didn't forget to thank her: "Ye Ling, thank you."
Ye Ling stood frozen in place, watching Feng'er leave, surprised that she left so easily, only saying a simple thank you. Does she think I'm that easy to fool?
The more Ye Ling thought about it, the more she felt she shouldn't have let Feng'er go, so she quickly chased after her, saying, "You are so heartless, using someone and then discarding them once done. You have such a cruel heart!"
Feng'er was dumbfounded looking at Ye Ling in front of her. She didn't expect Ye Ling to actually plan to cling on to her, but Feng'er didn't have the time to argue with Ye Ling.
"I have bad news! Don't you want to hear it?" Ye Ling said with a mysterious smile, trying to pique Feng'er's interest.
This tactic was successful; Feng'er indeed became curious about what Ye Ling was going to say next.
"What's the bad news?" Feng'er stopped and asked.
"Long Deng, for some unknown reason, as if provoked, dared to challenge the taekwondo club, causing a commotion. He's probably being beaten by them now. Do you want to go save Long Deng?" Ye Ling tried to drag Feng'er into Long Deng's conflict with those people, truly sneaky.
Feng'er thought for a moment. Although she had met Long Deng once, he left a great impression on her, and she couldn't let Long Deng get hurt. It was better to help him, as based on Ye Ling's introduction, Long Deng was just an ordinary person, and being beaten by the taekwondo club would be incredibly tragic.
"Alright! Will you go with me?" Feng'er asked. If Ye Ling didn't go with her, she wouldn't know the way. Instead of asking someone later, it was better to have Ye Ling take her there now.
"Haha, of course, I'm very familiar with the taekwondo club!" Ye Ling said this because she's a member of the taekwondo club herself and thus very familiar with it.
Following Ye Ling, Feng'er quickly arrived at the taekwondo club. Upon entering, she realized there were actually quite a few people, packed like sardines. It was hard for Feng'er to squeeze in.
"Long Deng's challenge made everyone eager to see the spectacle, so a place that usually had few visitors now had so many people. An obscure Long Deng became somewhat famous at Jiangbei University because of this challenge. Although his reputation isn't great, he is at least recognized," Ye Ling explained to Feng'er.
Feng'er understood that Long Deng had always been inconspicuous, and now he made such a big scene, clearly wanting to become famous by leveraging people's attention on this matter to increase his fame.
Yet, Feng'er believed the person she wanted to protect wasn't so superficial. She still didn't know what Long Deng looked like until she saw the person on stage.
A frail body couldn't fight back under the opponent's blows, being hit repeatedly, yet the eyes remained firm, repeatedly charging at the person before him, but the result was the same, Long Deng got beaten to the ground, then quietly lay there.
"Stand up!" Just as Long Deng was about to give up, a voice suddenly rang in his ear.
This voice felt familiar; last night, it was the same voice that saved him from some thugs. It lingered in his mind even when he returned home. The face appeared harmless but seemed ghostly, cold eyes, indifferent tone. Without lifting his head, Long Deng knew who the person beside him was.
Looking at Feng'er with a hint of resentment, Long Deng struggled to get up, his legs trembling uncontrollably, but he still managed to stand, his eyes proud as he looked at Feng'er, making her feel helpless.
Feng'er now roughly understood why this guy came here; to defeat her and avenge those people. She hadn't thought Long Deng would really take it seriously. She wasn't planning to silence Long Deng.
The spectators below grew increasingly interested, like watching a play.
"With your current ability, it's really difficult to defeat me," Feng'er said with a slightly advising tone. Long Deng's persistence had moved her somewhat, but his obstinacy was too extreme, which could make people dislike him.
Long Deng didn't say anything, throwing a punch at Feng'er at his maximum speed, trying to hit Feng'er. But Feng'er was not ordinary; this speed meant nothing to her. She caught it with one hand, looking at Long Deng, hoping he'd realize the current situation. It would be easy for her to deal with Long Deng, yet he couldn't see her intention, still thinking Feng'er was boasting and mocking him.
"There is such a big gap! But you wait, someday I'll surpass you and bring you to justice," Long Deng said fiercely, but Feng'er didn't mind.
"Do you want to continue competing?" The person contesting with Long Deng asked as he saw them talking without acknowledging his waiting, speaking up.
"Long Deng, can we go over there and talk?" Feng'er inquired.
"A true man stands tall and speaks here! Long Deng, uncharacteristically grand, saw Feng'er as an arch-villain, seeking him out and even tracing his name, all because of that incident.
Unfortunately, Long Deng misunderstood Feng'er as being too sinister. She now worried about how to protect someone with such a poor relationship with her!
