Chapter 1112 - 1109: Bangkok (Part 2)
The Grand Palace is one of Bangkok's most famous attractions, located within the city center. This renowned building embodies the essence of Thai architecture, painting, sculpture, and decorative arts, featuring distinctive Siamese architectural characteristics, admired by tourists from various countries, and is known as the "Thailand Art Compendium."
After half an hour, Lin Chuan arrived at the Grand Palace Square.
The square is vast, with many tourists. Lin Chuan took out his phone, inquired about the Silver Fox's location, and then walked over.
Today, Silver Fox was dressed in a Chanel ensemble, looking extremely chic.
"Lin Chuan, I've already sent someone to investigate, but we couldn't find any clues about the Red Butterfly." After the two sat on a long bench at the east corner of the square, Silver Fox said.
Lin Chuan said, "I found someone on my end. He might know something. Why don't we go over and find him?"
Silver Fox nodded. Lin Chuan was not only her man but also her savior; Lin Chuan's business was her business.
Fang Yuan had given Lin Chuan that address, which was some distance from the Grand Palace Square. The two hailed a taxi, rode through twists and turns, and arrived nearly an hour later.
The taxi stopped, Lin Chuan paid the fare, and along with Silver Fox, got out of the car. Looking up, they found themselves in front of a large nightclub.
Fang Yuan only gave Lin Chuan the address but didn't tell him that it was a nightclub.
At this moment, it was just after four o'clock in the afternoon. Lin Chuan and Silver Fox walked into the nightclub, where a very cute Thai girl was standing at the bar counter.
Walking over, before Lin Chuan could speak, the Thai girl, with a pleasant smile, said, "Sir, is there anything I can help you with?"
Lin Chuan smiled slightly and said, "I'm looking for Nala. Is he around?"
The Thai girl said to wait a moment, picked up the phone. After saying a few words, she put down the phone and smiled, saying, "Manager Nala just went out for some errands and will be back in about half an hour; sir, please wait for a while."
With idle time to spend, Lin Chuan and Silver Fox walked into the nightclub's main hall.
The hall was a space roughly the size of a small football field, with a stage in the center. On stage, two women in bikinis were performing a provocative dance.
Surrounding the stage were many spectators. Amidst the blaring music, each enticing move by the women elicited countless whistles from them.
A few lustful men, when the women turned to them, took out money to tuck into the women's bras, seizing the chance to cop a feel.
Among those numerous spectators, Lin Chuan noticed that about sixty percent were Chinese people, moreover, those tucking money into the women's bras were all Chinese, making him muse on how many wealthy and lecherous countrymen there were.
Silver Fox laughed and said, "Lin Chuan, how do you find their dancing?"
As a man, Lin Chuan praised the dance moves of the women on stage, saying, "Not bad, the two women have excellent flexibility; they seem professional."
Silver Fox smirked and said, "Beauties, you're calling them beauties?"
Lin Chuan gave a slight pause before realizing, awkwardly laughing, and said, "The reputation of Thai ladyboys is indeed well-earned."
After staying in the hall for half an hour, the two exited and went back to the bar counter, and the Thai girl, smiling, said, "Manager Nala is back and asked you to go to the office on the second floor."
After thanking her, Lin Chuan and Silver Fox went upstairs, found the office with the manager's sign, and knocked on the door.
"Please come in." A crisp voice sounded from inside.
Lin Chuan and Silver Fox pushed the door open and entered. In the office sat an exquisitely beautiful woman with flowing long hair, judging by her features, a quintessential Thai beauty.
"You must be Lin Chuan." The beauty stood up, smilingly looking at Lin Chuan, and said.
Surprised, Lin Chuan was expecting Nala to be a man but found a stunning woman instead, hurriedly stepped forward, gently shook Nala's hand, and said, "Yes, I'm Lin Chuan. Nice to meet you, Miss Nala."
Nala's hand was very soft yet slender, and Lin Chuan suddenly had a strange thought. He wondered whether Miss Nala might also be a ladyboy.
After sitting down, Nala smiled and said, "Mr. Lin, our leader has already told me, regarding the Red Butterfly Organization, I don't know much about it, but someone will be coming soon to help you."
"Thank you, Miss Nala." Lin Chuan said politely.
After speaking briefly with Nala in her office, a person walked in — a woman with a head of black hair tied up, clad in a black tight-fitting outfit, and eyes brimming with an icy murderous intent.
"Let me introduce you, this is Jiqing, she used to be an assassin for the Red Butterfly Organization." Seeing Jiqing enter, Nala introduced her to Lin Chuan and Silver Fox.
From the murderous gaze in Jiqing's eyes, Lin Chuan instinctively felt that this woman was an expert, probably even stronger than Silver Fox.
"Miss Jiqing, I am Lin Chuan." Lin Chuan introduced himself.
Jiqing's chilly eyes fixed on Lin Chuan, her face unamused, and coldly said, "I don't care who you are, I'm just repaying my debt to Nala for saving my life. You can ask your questions now."
Lin Chuan glanced at Silver Fox before turning to Jiqing and said, "Miss Jiqing, how can we find the people from the Red Butterfly Organization?"
Jiqing said, "Near Zhengwang Temple in Bangkok, there is a bar called Qingli Bar. You just need to ask the owner."
Lin Chuan further asked, "Was Princess Manler, the younger daughter of the British Queen, kidnapped by you two years ago?"
Jiqing shook her head and said, "I'm not sure about that."
With a slight furrow in his brow, Lin Chuan asked, "Who is the leader of the Red Butterfly Organization?"
Jiqing said, "No comment."
Jiqing spoke without superfluous words, her answers were crisp and concise.
Lin Chuan understood that although Jiqing had left the Red Butterfly Organization, she strictly adhered to professional ethics, maintaining silence on matters she should not disclose.
Further questions would likely be futile since Lin Chuan already knew how to find the people from Red Butterfly, there was no need to continue asking.
"Thank you, Miss Jiqing, I have no more questions." Lin Chuan said to Jiqing, whose expression remained impassive.
Jiqing ignored Lin Chuan and turned to Nala, saying, "The favor for saving my life is repaid today, from now on, we're even." With that, she turned and walked out of the office.
After Jiqing left, Nala said to Lin Chuan, "I can only help you this much. Be cautious; the Red Butterfly Organization has many experts, and their assassination methods are endless, hard to guard against."
"Thank you for the reminder, Miss Nala, we'll be careful. Goodbye." Lin Chuan said, and then turned with Silver Fox and walked out of Nala's office, without stopping, directly leaving the nightclub.
"Lin Chuan, should we head to that bar near Zhengwang Temple now?" Silver Fox asked Lin Chuan at the nightclub's entrance.
Lin Chuan pondered and said, "Speed is key in warfare; we'll go now."
Zhengwang Temple is another famous landmark in Bangkok, built in honor of Thailand's national hero Zheng Zhao, and has a history of several centuries.
Arriving near Zhengwang Temple, Lin Chuan and Silver Fox inquired and found the Qingli Bar mentioned by Jiqing.
From the outside, the bar appeared quite small, similar to some small bars in China.
Standing in front of Qingli Bar, the two did not pause and walked straight in.
It was now after five in the afternoon; there were not many patrons inside. Lin Chuan and Silver Fox walked up to the bar and asked a bartender, who was mixing drinks, "Is your boss in?"
