Chapter 208: Crow Bloodseeker

*Smash* *Slam* *Stomp*
“Alright, all of you are pissing me off already.” I said as I grind my foot on this guy’s face while the others were looking on with spells and guns ready. I just waltz in and they’re trying to drag me to a police station or something. Here I thought they got rid of those things already. “Let me sightsee in peace you barbarians.”
“You expect us to believe that! Get her!” One guy yelled out and the others quickly tried to jump me. Really not making the case of the takeover look good if these are the people running inside it. Aren’t they doing it in the guise of reforming instead of whatever that was last week? Maybe I just pulled a bad city to go to today.
*Splash* *Crackle*
Before they could even get close or launch their spells I immobilized them with ice magic, restricting their movement and making them extremely cold as the ice structures creep and bind their bodies.
“Stop!” Someone yelled out as I could see a figure landing in front of me.
*Kick* *Crash*
I kicked the guy beneath me away while I looked at the man confronting me while the others were struggling to break free of their icy prison. Looks like a lizardman with a long tail, pale green and rather typical.
“What? That was just self-defense. I was about to leave just now.” I mockingly said while looking at all of them struggling to escape. It’s just a bunch of ice, surely you can get out super easily with all that magic. “Anyway. Guess you wanna turn me in or something?”
“What did you think was going to happen!? You can’t just come here and threaten this kind of violence!” He said with a straight face.
“Pffftt… Hahahahaha! Ahahahaha!” I can’t stop laughing at what he’s saying. Is he being serious? Maybe he’s blind? What is this guy’s damage? “That’s a good joke! Where did you learn it? Clown school?”
“What the hell is so funny!?” He said as he’s losing his composure and his stance becoming defensive, as if anticipating a battle already.
“You think your side attacking me first gives you all the rights? Wrong. I have already decided. This city is doomed for, and I’ll make sure all of you here will die.” I said with a grin on my face.
***Crack***
The others finally break free from the icy prison I conjured up in a flash. All of them are clearly ready to go and subdue me.
***Dash*** *Swing* *Evade* *Swing* *Evade* *Blast* *Boom*
All of them started attacking me with the swing of their weapons, multiple spells, and basically anything they got their hands on as I easily dodged all of it.
They are not matching my speed. All of their attacks are slow and it’s easy to manage even with the sheer quantity. The spells are obviously much faster and harder to tell the trajectory of, but those are also lesser in numbers due to how straining even one spell can be for an average fighter. I don’t even need to leave the ground in order to avoid the horde coming at me. There are even more people joining in the longer I let this drag on.
*Kick* *Grab* *Throw* *Zip*
I kicked someone who closed the distance and then threw them at the others before I flew up high to negate their attempt to jump me. Sorry. If you can’t fly, then die.
*Zap* *Crackle* *Blast*
I start raining down thunderstorms and hail, quickly dispersing the group and causing them to become disorganized as the chaos unfolds and all of them start to disperse in all directions. I just love the sight of them trembling.
*Zip* *Punch*
I flew down and ducked under one of the people trying to withstand the spells, and punched him right in the gut before he could even notice my presence.
*Grab* *Swing* *Throw* *Crash* *Kick*
I threw him into a group of people and quickly followed that up with a kick that caused enough force to be an area of effect attack.
*Zip* *Punch* *Zip* *Kick* *Zip* *Smash*
I go around and quickly subdue basically everyone trying to attack or stop me while the chaos of the storm keeps brewing.
By the time I let the spells fade away the majority of the combatants were reeling on the ground, some bleeding a bit, and very few remained standing.
“How curious. There was a lot of bravado going around only a minute ago.” I said with a smirk as I stood my ground against the few people left standing, one of which is that lizard guy from earlier. “I barely got started and it looks like your best is already down. What a shame. I guess the police force has been so complacent and deteriorating that even losers like you guys can take charge.”
“What the hell are you doing all of this for!?” The lizardman asked. Is he slow in the head? I believe that question has already been answered.
“Like I said. I was just wandering around here for fun earlier, but all of you ruined my mood. So all of you gotta go.” I said before pointing a gun I snatched off from one of the henchmen at the remaining resistance. “I don’t think your leader is even here right now. Where was the bravado that made him show his face to the entire world not too long ago?”
“Leave him out of this!” The lizardman said as he ran in front of the others. I guess he thinks the bullet doesn’t hit him.
*Bang* *Block* *Zip* *Punch*
I distracted him with one bullet being shot, then got past him and punched someone hard and sent them flying.
*Swing* *Evade*
He turned around and took a swing at me, but his punch was rather slow and sluggish, so it’s not a problem at all to avoid that.
*Swing* *Evade* *Swing* *Block*
He bolstered his offense against me as the fight kept going, leaving the others behind as I countered and avoided each strike he tried to take. He is definitely trying his best with no reservation in fighting with all his might. Quite valiant, but rather foolish. The weak should not fight like they are strong. There is no point in using such a hasty and wasteful manner of fighting if you can’t even scratch your opponent. When did the concept of fighting dirty leave the public consciousness
*Bang* *Bang*
I shot at him a few times as he still tried to get a good hit in, he saw the attacks coming so most of it didn’t even really hit him. I’m not exactly an expert marksman.
*PUNCH* *Crack* *CRASH*
After a while I got bored, so I punched him hard in the head and sent him flying into a building. I think with the force I put in his neck might be destroyed in the process, but that’s not really my problem.
“As for the rest of you…” I said while walking slowly towards them. If they survive this next attack, then good for them, but I wouldn’t count on it.
*Blast* *Swat* *BOOM*
Someone tried to shoot at me with an energy attack from behind. It wasn’t too hard to notice so I turned around and swatted it away in time, but that attack looked like it could do a lot of damage with how big the resulting explosion was.
“Now you showed up. A bit late, aren’t you?” I said as I got a good look at this wolfman with a brown and white body. “Not gonna talk? Then let’s get the show going already.”

“I wouldn’t call the system flawed as much as it is nonexistent. Obviously it’s going to be a bunch of trial and error, but most won’t last.” Wiina explained as she was lazing around on her bed. “As things stand something violent is gonna happen, be it with outsiders or among each other.”
“...Is this about Kenni?” I asked, hearing her choice of words.
“Yeah. She is probably already in trouble, going to one of the occupied cities that was already way too bold and too violent. I’m not really worried about her though, and as long as they don’t get provoked by her, nothing bad is gonna happen.” Wiina explained.
“...So something bad definitely happened.” No way Kenni can resist ragebating a group of violent extremists. She definitely already started something up, by now a fight has most likely already started. I guess I could check that right now, but I also have something else I want to look up at the moment.
“Indeed. I wouldn’t be too worried about her. If anything, she is the one person we don’t need to worry about in the slightest.” She replied. Yeah, because of THAT.
“...I guess it’s kinda nice knowing that she’ll be fine, but at the same time, it’s also not nice knowing how things will turn out.” I know things are probably very different by that time, but surely even that far ahead those actions would be very unreasonable.
“I just wouldn’t worry about it if I were you. Really, trying to look that far into the future would leave you with a lot more questions than answers.” Had she even dabbled in that topic much outside of the elephant in the room?
“...So how has everyone else been doing? I don’t think Emmie even told anyone where she was going, right?” She only sorta implied that she went somewhere far and that’s about it.
“She is probably looking for a more violent place as well. Unlike Kenni she would probably start attacking the moment she gets in someone’s territory. She has always been uncompromising.” Yeah, that definitely sounds quite nightmarish to go against. “I’d say Kenni revels more in bloodshed than Emmie, even if the latter is much more willing to instigate a fight.”
“...In what way?” I asked just to get a bit more clarification.
“Simply put, while Emmie fights for the enjoyment of the fight itself and doesn't care too much about the state of her opponent, Kenni enjoys the moment of desperation and the reaction to their downfall. One is much more dubious and suspect, isn’t it?” She clarified. Yeah, I get where that is coming from. So the fight should be very drawn out, and she’s not above taunting and playing extremely unfair.

<1: 30 pm>
*Punch* *Crash*
“Oww…” He could be a bit more mindful of the place he has to rule over. At least with me I’m not planning on doing anything else with the place after I’m done.
*Dash* *Grab* *Slam* *Crack*
He ran through the destroyed wall only to be met with a table straight to the face, cracking from the force of impact.
*Grapple* *Plant*
I grabbed him while he’s still vulnerable and slammed him right into the ground, lodging his body into the hole created from impact.. Doesn’t look like anyone is around, so how about I do this?
*BOOM* *CRASH*
After I got out of the building before he did, I destroyed the base of the building with a spell and let it crumble on top of him.
“Boss!” One of his minions shouted out as they tried to come to his rescue. They’re all quite slow aren’t they? Why are they even here anyway? They are a liability.
*Crack* *Dash* *Grab*
He quickly got out of the rubble but I kidnapped one of his minions and used him as a human shield, which stopped him for just long enough. Exactly as I was thinking, just a liability.
*Throw* *Crash* *Blast*
I threw the guy at the big wolfman and blast both of them with a darkness-based attack that caused the area of impact to be barely visible at first.
*Dash* *Grab* *Zip* *Throw* *Crash*
I then ran towards them and grabbed the wolfman and flew up then threw him right into one of the tall buildings, all without him even quite realizing what was happening. His lack of reaction has been pretty boring. He’s not weak so he can tank most of these performative attacks, but he’s boring me already. Can’t you be a bit more emotive?
…Screw this. I’m just gonna bomb the whole city and move on. This has been really boring. Maybe if he is still alive after this he’ll hold a grudge and be more interested.
I raised my two arms up into the air and started gathering mana. Slowly forming a massive ball of energy that looks like it could swallow up multiple buildings. I hope he shows up soon, because otherwise, I’m just gonna keep building up power and throw it.
It’s growing massively. It’s probably on the same size as a five storey building in diameter, but it is still growing and growing, soon enough it’ll probably be almost as big as a skyscraper if no one is gonna stop me.
*Leap*
Ah. There he is. He jumped out of the building he was thrown into and straight towards me.
Quite brave, considering my current buildup could easily swallow a few dozen humans.
“Catch!” I yelled out before throwing the massive ball of dark and red energy right towards the man launched towards me, a throw straight forward and almost completely horizontal.
“AAAaaaa…!” I can barely make out the screaming of the man being hit with the giant ball of energy head-on, probably panicking and perhaps being scorched by it as it made contact, but it hasn’t even exploded yet, is it?
The ball of energy moved forward and destroyed any tall building nearby on impact like they were sand castles. I guess at this point he has been swallowed by it, so I guess I can do him a solid and just kill him already, if he’s not already dead.
*BOOM* *Crack* *Crash*
The massive pressure exuded from the spell explosion violently caused multiple tall buildings in the city to lean and some to collapse and break apart.
Huh. I guess I may have gone a tiny bit far with that one, putting a bit too much energy here and there, but really, I don’t really care about this place anymore, they can fend for themselves and the aftermath. I’m going home.
