Interstellar Beast Master

Chapter 92: Silver Terror I

Chapter 92: Silver Terror I

The moment Damian and Serena stepped through the swirling vortex of the Entropic Rift, the world snapped.

A whiplash of weightlessness.

A flicker of light that wasn’t light.

And then...

Silence.

The Entropic Domain greeted them like a predator coiled in wait.

Their eyes adjusted rapidly as they saw their surroundings.

The landscape stretched out in every direction with no horizon in sight, just rolling fields of blue rock, veined with crackling streaks of blue lightning.

Floating orbs, each the size of a small boulder, hovered midair, pulsating with electric rhythm. Some shot forks of lightning to one another like neurons firing within a vast, alien brain.

The very sky above them churned with deep blue mist, almost liquid in appearance, shifting and refracting with unnatural gravity.

And in the distance...

Thunderous steps echoed across the landscape.

Beasts.

Initiate Entropic Beasts, but massive ones.

Four-limbed creatures the size of freight trains, like nightmarish elephants, their torsos armored in crystalline plates that glowed with molten energy. Trunks writhed like serpents, and their bodies pulsed with caged light. Their very movement left scorched trails of lightning behind them!

Further ahead, rising landmasses floated midair, connected by arcing bridges of mist and electricity.

Trees grew sideways and upside down. Forests clung to inverted cliffs. Each pulse of the domain sent tremors through the air, the atmosphere alive with tension.

Danger was everywhere.

Serena whispered under her breath, "Lyra’s father gave us clearance to be in a place like this? Does he want to kill us?"

She was skeptical.

Damian’s eyes narrowed.

He didn’t care for the reason, he just wanted to be here to get stronger!

"Kitsuul."

He called out.

On his shoulder, Kitsuul shimmered as her eyes sparkled with wild mischief, and she jumped, her body wrapped in a silver light as she began to get bigger and bigger.

And she transformed.

Her small fox body glowed, stretched, evolved.

Silver light spilled forth like moonlight through crystal. Wings unfurled, massive, elegant, feathered with shadow and starlight.

Her nine radiant tails lifted with grace and weight, curling and flickering like celestial silver flames. Her silver fur rippled with latent power, and her paws struck the ground with silent resonance.

She now stood over ten meters tall, towering like a celestial guardian—a Winged Starmoon Shadow Fox bathed in dignity and deathlight.

Serena’s eyes widened in disbelief. "W-What... What is that?"

Damian stepped forward calmly, one hand resting on Kitsuul’s front leg like a knight greeting a queen.

"Still my Interstellar Beast," he said. "Kitsuul."

As Serena saw Kitsuul’s glorious form, many things clicked into place.

Serena blinked. "You survived the last Rift with that?"

He nodded.

"This Rift," he said, his voice low and resolute, "will be even more bloody."

Damian wanted it that way.

Because it would mean Kitsuul becoming even stronger!

Meanwhile, Kitsuul’s eyes glowed softly as she looked down toward Damian and then out to the crackling horizon.

"I feel the same thing as before, Master~" she said, her voice like wind over frozen rivers, broadcasted directly into Damian’s thoughts. "But I can control it now."

Damian tilted his head slightly, curious. Control what exactly?

"The Scent," Kitsuul said. "The Unique Species Scent of the Umbra-Kitsune that was released last time when I absorbed too much Entropic Energy. It lured all nearby Entropic Beasts to us... but now, after my Second Form, I can regulate it."

"...So you can turn it like a beacon on and off?"

"Not quite. I can leak it," she said. "In small amounts. Just enough to draw ambient Entropic Energy and stir the curiosity of predators within a few miles."

Damian’s eyes sharpened with understanding.

"You can get stronger... and bait Entropic Beasts at the same time."

Kitsuul nodded slowly, her tails waving with elegance as she seemed excited.

"Let me know when you’re ready. But once I begin leaking the Scent... they will come."

"..."

Damian breathed out while feeling his subdued rage.

To do what he wanted. For his revenge... he had to get stronger.

That was why he was here! So...

He stepped forward, feeling the charge of lightning beneath his boots.

Kitsuul’s massive wings opened, mist swirling around her.

Serena inhaled, steadying herself as Damian did not give her a chance to ask any questions. Her Void Serpent hissed and shifted around her frame, sensing the shift in atmosphere.

They all could feel it.

That something heavy was about to change!

Damian gave a nod to Kitsuul.

"Leak the Scent."

Kitsuul’s chest pulsed with a gentle radiance.

A single breath passed.

Silently, she began to draw in waves of energy!

Then.

The air thickened.

The lightning-floating orbs began to hum more violently.

In the distance, the giant elephant-like Entropic Beasts turned their heads.

All Initiate Entropic Beasts so far!

And they began to move!

Crimson eyes. Glowing tusks.

Stampeding across the cracked sky-glass ground.

HUUM!

The ground beneath them vibrated.

Serena drew a breath.

"Here we go."

Damian simply remained cold, his eyes reflecting the blue lightning and chaos ahead.

And the hunt began as Initiate Entropic Beasts surged towards them!

The Entropic Domain howled and buzzed with blue light.

Lightning danced across the skies like veins of terror, and the beasts came, six of them, thundering forward on elephantine limbs, their massive trunks crackling with charged entropy, their tusks glowing with shifting colors that shimmered between violet and blue!

They screeched with roars that shattered the small orbs in the air and released waves of lightning!

But Kitsuul... stood tall and powerful.

Wings spread wide, silver light pouring from her fur like stardust spilling from a torn constellation, her nine radiant tails arched and flared, forming a crescent behind her as her eyes flared with intelligent feral radiance.

She opened her mouth.

And the blue skies became painted silver for a brief second.

A beam of compressed silver radiance exploded from her jaws, a torrent of gravitational starlight that cut across the skies!

BOOOOOOM!

The beam tore across the battlefield, cleaving through the six elephantine Entropic Beasts like paper lanterns caught in a hurricane. The air ruptured. The cracked land beneath them fissured as their bodies were split in half!

...!

Serena’s jaws opened wide.

Her Serpent’s jaws opened wide!

A heavy silence came.

Silence that killed!
