Master of Minds, Master of Me

Final Chapter. Lorelia: A Throne Built for Two

I let the gentle music fill the piano room. I have been all ready for half an hour, but Felix is still having some clothing crises. He already had all his clothes picked out, but suddenly he decided that the shirt didn’t look good enough and went back to change it. He really is sometimes way too conscious about his looks.

But I understand the nervousness. He is going to be the King, after all. It doesn’t happen every day.

The door opens, and Felix walks in.

“Okay, what do you think? Am I decent?”

I stop playing and look up at him.

“You were right. That shirt looks better. It complements your dark hair much more nicely.”

He smiles, excited. “Really?”

Honestly, he looks equally handsome in both shirts. I really don’t see the difference. But I feel like he feels more at ease if I agree like this. I want him to be confident today. Luckily, I have learned to pass little white lies like this to Felix without him catching on.

“Yes. You look perfect. Maybe a little too perfect.”

“Oh? What’s wrong with being too perfect?”

He sits next to me on the piano bench.

“Other ladies might get some bad ideas. Like starting to pine over you, hoping that you would take them as a concubine.”

“They are free to pine. But I would never even entertain the thought of having a concubine. You are the only one I want and need.”

“I’d better be. Or else I might need to ask tips from Theodore on how to tear limbs.”

Felix laughs. “For the millionth time. You really are way too cute for your own good.”

“I hope you think that way when I’m old and wrinkly.”

“I bet you are going to be the cutest granny there is. Teaching our grandkids how to play the piano. Spending afternoons in the garden. You would get stuck on the ground when your knees were too weak and old to get up from the flowerbeds. Then I would come to rescue you and pull you up.”

“Oh God. You don’t have to be so specific about it!”

“You mentioned the topic, so blame yourself.” He nuzzles against my neck. “So, still feeling happy?”

“Extremely.”

“Good. It would really be a bummer to wake up almost ten years younger.”

“I don’t think it would work like that anymore.”

“Why not?”

“Well, I have been so happy after that. So I would think that if you suddenly decided to leave me and—”

“I would never leave you.”

“I know, it is just an example, so hear me—”

“No, I don’t want to hear it even as an example.”

“Stop interrupting me, you jerk!”

He just smiles smugly but keeps himself silent, so I continue.

“If, for some unknown reason, I were suddenly start being unhappy today and die unhappy later, I would think I would wake up today again. Because it was the day my unhappiness truly started without getting happy again. We all have unhappy days or periods in our lives. So I’m sure that I don’t have to be happy every single day to reach my happy ending.”

“Woah, woah, woah. Are you saying you have had unhappy days during your time with me?”

“Definitely.”

Felix looks so shocked that it almost makes me smile.

“Like when?”

“Like the time when you were away for a week in Belentzi. I hated it.”

“But that was for business!” The panic in his voice is clearly audible.

I cup his cheeks and smile at him.

“I know. I’m just trying to say that it’s okay that some days are not happiness overloads. I think it’s even a good thing to have some rather normal or unhappy days. After those, being happy feels even better. So I don’t even want to be happy all the time. We need different emotions to make life more exciting. I love you, and I will always be happy with you. So you really should just stop stressing about my blessing. My happiness is not solely on your shoulders. I’m there too. And I promise that I’m happiest when you are happy. So worry about your happiness more than mine.”

The corners of his eyes soften, and he smiles so warmly while tugging a strand of hair behind my ear.

“Goddammit, I want to kiss you so much, Lo.”

“No kissing! You will ruin the makeup!”

His hands slowly slide under my dress to rub over my panties.

“Hmm… I was thinking your lips down here. I doubt they have any makeup.”

“Felix! There is no time for that!”

But before I manage to resist him, he’s kneeling on the floor, sliding my panties off. Oh God, please forgive me. I can’t find my spine to stop him.

He kisses me, his tongue sliding between my lips, rubbing against my clit and I sigh heavily.

Knock knock.

“Your Highness, everything is ready.”

Felix gets up and smiles while wiping his mouth from my arousal.

“See? There was enough time for a simple kiss.”

Yes, technically. But my body wants more now. He reaches his hand out for me. I take it, and he pulls me up with a pleased smile.

“So, ready to be my Queen, pretty flower?”

“Yes.”

He turns toward the door, and I realize I have no panties.

“Felix! Where did you put my panties?”

He twirls them around his finger. “Right here.”

I reach out for them, but he just tucks them into his pocket.

“Give them back!”

“No way. I need them.”

“You need my panties at your coronation? Don’t be ridiculous.”

“They are my good luck charm.”

“Felix!”

He opens the door, where a maid waits for us. Smiling smugly, knowing I can’t argue my panties back when the maid is right there. I force a smile and wrap my hand around his. We stop behind the double doors, and I lean in to whisper to him.

“Are you really forcing me to do this without my panties? You are insane!”

He leans in too, grinning.

“I wonder if any other Queen was such a dirty little slut that she went to the coronation without panties, arousal dripping against her thighs.”

My pupils widen at his words. And unfortunately, my pussy clenches with need. Judging from his smile, he clearly notices my lustful thoughts. The announcement rings out, and we step together into the Throne Room.

The official coronation doesn’t take long. The King crowns Felix, and Felix crowns me. There are many people watching, filling the Throne room. It feels weird to look at it so full, since I’ve only seen it empty before. Memories of us having sex here flood my mind, and I try my best to resist my body’s reaction.

After the official part, we ride around the city. The citizens cheer, and the general atmosphere is quite festive. I’m just pleased to see that everyone is so excited to have Felix as a King. I know he will be a great ruler.

Then we go back to the Palace, where the great banquet is waiting. Once again, we are standing behind the double doors, waiting for the announcement to ring out. But now we both have our crowns.

“Still holding on?”

I look up at Felix, who smiles annoyingly at me.

“If you are asking about my mental state, then yes. If you are asking about my wetness situation, then also yes.”

“Really? I guess I need to tease you more then.”

Oh God, why did I say yes? I should have known better than that. I was just about to lash out at him when the voice comes through the door.

“Welcome our new King and Queen, Felix and Lorelia Barham.”

The doors open, and the whole room cheers as we start walking down the stairs. I’ve grown used to big events like this, so they don’t intimidate me anymore like they used to. We stop in the middle of the room, and Felix turns to face me, bows, and reaches his hand toward me.

“May I have this dance, my Queen?”

I bow back and place my hand in his.

“You may have everything I can give, my King.”

He pulls me close, and the music starts to play. I freeze as I realize the song. It’s my song. The one I composed for Felix. Why is it playing?

Felix’s grip around my waist tightens, and I focus back on him while he just keeps smiling.

“I regret that we weren’t able to dance to this song at our wedding. So I figured it would be the perfect song to start our lives as King and Queen.”

He starts to lead me, and I let my body relax and go along with him. But I keep staring at him in disbelief.

“So you stole my song without my permission?” I finally manage to say.

“Stole? I thought you just said that you give me everything you can give.”

Crap. I did say that. I should have thought my words through more thoroughly.

“Well, yes. But you clearly stole the song before I said those words.”

“Shh… Don’t point out useless details.” He grins at me.

“God, you are hopeless sometimes.”

He leans in closer to my ear.

“Maybe. Hopelessly in love with you.”

I feel my cheeks flush, and the butterflies in my stomach wake up. He really has the ability to make me feel like a teenager having her first crush after all these years we have been together.

When the dance is finished, we move to the end of the room. Felix gives his speech as I watch him, once again mesmerized by him. After him, I also say a few words. He holds my hand the whole time, which helps me find the courage to speak confidently.

Felix sits on his throne while I move to sit on mine, but he grabs my wrists and yanks me onto his lap, just like at our engagement party.

“Felix, I understand that you can hide your actions from everyone else with your magic. But I want you to relax and enjoy today. Not strain yourself by using magic for all these people.”

He smirks. “Oh, don’t worry about that. I’m completely relaxed. I’m not using any magic.”

“You’re not?”

I turn to look at all the people. Some are smiling, some whispering while looking at us.

Oh please, God, let me once again bury myself underground and hide. This is so embarrassing.

“Felix!” I whisper-yell. “You can’t act like this in front of all these people!”

“Sure I can. You know, Lo, I have always wanted to be a great ruler, which I will be. When my era ends, I want people to remember me as righteous and wise. But there is one thing I want to be remembered for even more.”

“And what is that?”

He again tucks a strand of hair behind my ear while smiling his heartbreaking smile. My heart thumps so loudly in my chest.

“I want to be remembered as a King who adored his Queen more than anyone else.”

God, I want to kiss him so much. I hate makeup. It ruins everything. He kisses my neck, and I feel like melting. I rub my thighs together.

“Felix…”

“Yes, pretty flower?”

“There is one thing I don’t want to be remembered for.”

He lifts his head to face me.

“Really? And what is that?”

“I don’t want to be remembered as a Queen who had a wet spot in her dress during the coronation banquet. So you’d better stop what you’re doing.”

He laughs, and I smile while leaning my head against his chest.

“I’ll take that into consideration. You know how you wrote that book about Theodore and Jane all those years ago?”

“Of course. What about it?”

“Do you think our story would make a great book?”

“Hmm… I could see the potential. How should we title it?”

“You’re the writer, not me.”

“How about The Tales of Pretty Flower and the Watering Can?”

He chuckles at my suggestion.

“More like The Stalker Who Wore Out the Prince?”

“Or The Devil Prince Who Made the Angel Fall?”

“Hmm… What about A Naughty Flower Pretending to Be an Angel?”

“No, A Pervert Prince Pretending to Be a Gentleman would be more accurate.”

“How do I get the feeling that we are not talking about book titles anymore?” He grins.

I wrap my hands around his neck and lean closer, our noses touching.

“Okay, you might be right. But what if it could simply be Our Secret Garden?”

His smile softens. “I definitely love the sound of that. But I love you millions of times more.”

I press my lips against his. I don’t give a crap about the makeup. This moment is more important than my smudged lips. I pull back and smile the most genuine and loving smile I have.

“I love you to the end of time, Felix. I know the party just started, but I apparently smeared my lipstick on your face. Which means I have two pairs of lips that need some cleaning, if you know what I mean. So would you come to the back room to help me clean up?” I wink at him.

The purple in his eyes starts to swirl, and his grip around me tightens as he smirks at me. His hungry gaze drives me insane.

He leans in and lifts my chin to make me face him.

“I would do anything for you, Lo. I’m a gentleman after all.”
