Chapter 272 - 2: Giant Dragon Awakens, Intelligent Machinery Civilization
The male octopus was not on the top floor. Looking up, he couldn’t even see the dome of the sky.
All he could see were the flickering silver-white lights between the surrounding buildings.
"If I remember correctly, I’m currently in the middle layer of the Federation Capital, right?"
The male octopus gazed thoughtfully at the scene before him and calmly questioned the life partner at his side.
"Yes, Master."
"Your current citizen level is Level Two, and you reside in the middle layer of the Federation Capital’s West District."
"Additionally, you have inherited two miner robot factories in the lower district from your genetic father. Both factories are currently maintained by your personal terminal’s computing power and generate a monthly income of approximately three hundred thousand Federation Digital Coins for you."
"Currently, Master, your inheritance and total savings amount to fifty-three million, five hundred sixty thousand Federation Coins. If you wish to purchase property in the Upper City District, you must first donate over one hundred million Federation Coins and submit an application to the Federation terminal to be promoted to a Level One Citizen."
"However, given the current income from your two factories, it would be best for you to consider this carefully."
The male octopus did not dispute this.
Then, as if a thought struck him, he spoke to the female octopus.
"Alright, I understand the situation now."
"So, Zelina, with my current citizen privileges, can I pilot a flyer to the Upper City District?"
The female octopus stared blankly at the male octopus for a moment, then gave a professional smile.
"I’m afraid not, Master."
"The Upper Level District is near the celestial canopy outside the planet’s orbit. Besides Level One Citizens and citizens with military status, only the councilors of each city district have the authority to go to the Upper City District."
At this point, the female octopus offered a suggestion.
"Speaking of which, Master, isn’t strolling through the lower district your favorite pastime?"
"You’ve often said that just seeing life in the lower district and on the ground level makes you feel completely at ease."
"That is the kind of mental gratification you desire, I believe. How about I take you to the lower district or the ground level again today?"

’I have to say, this planet the True Game named Intelligent Mechanism Star is truly fascinating.’
After spending approximately fifty-three years of game time digesting all the benefits from devouring four Insect Deities and completely integrating their Divinity, Lince finally ascended to the Mythical Tier of the Ancient Dragon Race.
He felt some joy from his successful Ascension to Divinity, but not an overwhelming amount.
After all, for Lince, this Ascension to Divinity had felt as simple as closing his eyes for a short nap.
The breakthrough to the Divine Tier had gone almost too smoothly.
It went so smoothly, in fact, that it greatly diminished Lince’s sense of accomplishment.
But he had to admit, the stockpiles of Divine Power Crystals in the four Insect Deities’ Divine Kingdoms had been a massive help.
The growth-amplifying effects of the Star Empire over those fifty-three years also played a part.
And after his breakthrough, Lince immediately received a ’greeting’ from the True Game.
The True Game hadn’t been idle all this time.
Currently, its Laws had completely enveloped the Karte Continent and had even finished covering the Insect People’s Green Earth Satellite World.
And, as per Lince’s request, the True Game did not incorporate Green Saturn into the game map.
This was considered a space for development that Lince had left for the Blue Star Alliance.
Therefore, during the fifty-plus years of silence in the Game World, the True Game appeared to have entered a state of retirement.
In reality, it had been dedicated to cultivating Players above the Saint Tier and was even consuming vast amounts of Idealist Power to actively explore other planets and civilizations.
Thus, the moment Lince awoke, the True Game immediately presented three ’Advance’ options.
The first, of course, was the Magicless World discovered long ago, Intelligent Mechanism Star.
The second was two recently discovered new worlds—’new maps.’
One new map was a slightly above-average Demon World called the Crimson World.
The other new map was even more absurd: a High Demon World named the Wizard World.
’Wizard World?’
Lince knew just from the name that it would be anything but simple.
Not to mention, it was a High Demon World.
Therefore, Lince wouldn’t even consider the Wizard World for now.
He didn’t even plan on immediately launching an invasion of the Crimson World.
After all, based on the information at hand, the True Game had yet to erode even an iota of Law Power in either the Crimson World or the Wizard World.
’And that’s it?’
Naturally, Lince decided to shelve those options for now.
After all, compared to Demon Worlds, Lince was currently more interested in a mature, technology-focused Level One civilization.
In a Demon World, Deities couldn’t provide much Power to the mortal plane.
Technology, however, could offer many more advantages for warfare in the mortal plane.
Take Blue Star, for example; it couldn’t even be considered a Level One civilization at present.
And this so-called Intelligent Mechanism Star was a technological civilization already making great strides toward becoming a Tier Two Civilization.
Lince believed that once his Star Empire annexed this civilization, it would foreseeably embark on an even more prosperous path.
Besides, as a technological civilization, while Intelligent Mechanism Star was certainly advanced, it was, after all, a Magicless World.
And dealing with a Magicless World was very simple.
One only needed to open a Star Gate, and both Deities and Transcendents could successfully invade the enemy’s home planet.
However, a magicless world also posed rather significant restrictions for Transcendents.
