Chapter 257 - 204: Resurgence of the Deities, Secret of the Dragon Race
The appearance of Lince and the revival of the God of Truth now served as proof of this.
"A transaction? A great being?"
As Lince listened to the God of Truth’s account, the entire Dragon Capital fell silent.
In response, the God of Truth shook his head with a sigh.
"You could hardly even call it a transaction."
"The being from your world simply found the perfect opportunity. You could say it got a massive bargain."
"However, for beings like us, being protected by a relatively peaceful existence was far better than being corrupted by that Black Flame and turned into twisted monstrosities."
"It was a choice made without any other choice. Whether it was the Dragon Race back then or us now, the one above you is, at the very least, far more honorable."
"And the facts prove it. After all, didn’t you choose to awaken me just now?"
The God of Truth seemed very candid as he said this.
Lince pondered for a moment, then looked at the God of Truth and asked:
"So, what was the voice you all heard back then?"
Lince’s question seemed to take the God of Truth by surprise.
’He doesn’t know about that being? Or is there some other secret involved?’
So the God of Truth thought.
But he quickly replied straightforwardly, "It would inevitably be distorted if it came from my own mouth."
"Here, it’s better if you hear it for yourself."
And so, within their Spiritual Transmission,
a familiar, mechanical voice suddenly appeared.
[In light of everything this world is suffering, do you wish for another chance? A new beginning, similar to the one the Dragon Race has already accepted?]
[Do you accept the Shelter Contract?]
[Yes] OR [No]
(Note: The official ’True Game’ entity reserves all rights of final interpretation regarding the Shelter Contract.)
Hearing this familiar voice, Lince was completely floored.
Lince didn’t even know how to react to the message the True Game had sent to the Deities.
It was certainly a bit domineering.
But it was also kind of hilarious.
This Main God Space-like tone was really something else.
Given the True Game’s usual nature, even if these Deities had chosen "No" back then, it wouldn’t have stopped the True Game from eroding this world’s rules anyway.
"So, I am very curious. What kind of great being is this ’official True Game entity’ in your world?"
"And I must say, that title is truly a bit... hm... of a mouthful."
Lince wore a strange expression at this.
"Well... it’s not easy for me to explain right now. In any case, you will all understand in due time."
Since Lince said so, the God of Truth didn’t press the matter.
He only said, "Very well."
Next, Lince discussed the current situation with him.
Including, most importantly, the situation with the Black Flame World.
But when Lince asked about the Black Flame World,
the God of Truth was just about to say something,
but he suddenly stopped himself.
His expression was strange and solemn.
He looked at Lince and said, "I cannot speak of it now. This was the command of that being."
"I imagine that being must have other plans, or perhaps it fears you would take a risk."
Looking at the astonished Giant Dragon, the God of Truth said with an unwavering, grave expression:
"The Black Flame World is something that even the Dragon Race at its peak could not defeat. It is better for you not to know for now."
"Perhaps the right time will be when that being decides to reveal it to you."
’Seriously? The God of Truth was actually gagged by the True Game?’
However, this also went to show that the Black Flame World was no simple matter.
And not something Lince should get involved with at this stage.
Thinking this, Lince nodded in agreement with the God of Truth’s words.
’There’s still time. No need to rush.’
’I really don’t need to go stepping on that landmine right now.’
And so, after learning of some of the God of Truth’s plans, Lince decided to head to the Karte Continent to handle the matter of establishing York’s kingdom.
