Chapter 434 - 424: Kill!!!
"What? Master Qin, annihilate... annihilate an entire family? This—this is—!"
On the other end of the video call, Ye Jizu was dumbfounded. This involves wiping out a whole family? Has he gone mad?
"Cut the crap!" Qin Fan rebuked in a low voice. "Find out their family structure at top speed and wipe them all out! I refuse to have any more fearless fools targeting my parents in the future. Therefore, I must issue a warning to all of Huaxia! Whoever dares to touch my parents will see calamity befall their own wife and children! For those without a wife and children, I will execute their three closest kin and annihilate their nine clans! I don’t have time to waste on these degenerates. Before they even entertain such a thought, they’d damn well better weigh the consequences!"
As he spoke, a staggering, torrential killing intent erupted from his body.
The kneeling driver at his side heard every word. His face turned ashen, and thick, bean-sized beads of sweat began rolling down his forehead. In an instant, his entire body was drenched in a cold sweat.
Annihilate the family! Calamity befalling the wife and children! The execution of three kin, the annihilation of nine clans!
These words hammered against his heart like the Death God’s final, fatal judgment. The uncontrollable trembling of his body grew more and more violent.
"Yes, Master Qin! I’ll arrange for my men to track them down immediately! I guarantee the mission will be completed!" Ye Jizu said hastily into the video, not daring to question further.
Without waiting for a response, he continued, "By the way, Master Qin, I was just about to report that we’ve already captured the traitorous driver’s family. They’re being held in a remote area now. What are your orders for them?"
"You’ve caught them? Good. Point the camera at them. I’ll speak to them myself," Qin Fan said with a calm nod.
"What are you doing! What on earth do you want with us! Why did you grab us, why!"
Just as Ye Jizu turned back towards the captive family, a sharp, shrewish scream erupted. Qin Fan listened, shaking his head with a derisive smile.
After Ye Jizu aimed the phone’s camera at them, Qin Fan looked at the image on the screen—an elderly woman, a younger woman, and two boys around ten years old. He suddenly cracked a smile. "Guess why you were captured."
With that, he walked over and squatted down beside the traitorous driver, pulling him into the frame.
"Zongguo!"
"Son!"
"Daddy!"
The moment Wang Zongguo’s face appeared, his family on the other end of the video began to scream hysterically.
"Mom, Xiao Hui, Da Bao, Xiao Bao!" Hearing the cries of his mother, wife, and children, Wang Zongguo broke down completely, sobbing uncontrollably.
If only he could go back. Forget three hundred million, he wouldn’t dare have such a thought even for three trillion!
Alas, life has no do-overs. Karmic retribution often comes swiftly and without warning.
"Now do you understand why you were captured?" Qin Fan said, smiling at the screen while ignoring the family’s frantic cries.
"Zongguo! I’m so sorry, it’s Mom’s fault! It’s all Mom’s fault! If I hadn’t agreed to let you take that gamble, you never would have gone down such a crooked path! You never would have! Zongguo, I’m sorry!" Seeing her son captured, the old woman knew instantly that his kidnapping scheme had been completely exposed.
"No, no, no, it has nothing to do with Zongguo! I’m the one who pushed him to do it! I did! If you want someone, come after me! Come after me! Come after me!" the wife shrieked, struggling against her captors as if she had gone mad.
"Heh... Interesting," Qin Fan chuckled.
He then turned to the driver, who had become as lifeless as a wooden puppet, his eyes vacant and his mind a blank. "Now, are you ready to tell me who your master is?"
"Let my family go, and I’ll tell you!" Suddenly, Wang Zongguo’s demeanor shifted to one of cold resolve. He tilted his head, his face twisting into a ferocious smile as he looked at Qin Fan. "Let them go! Otherwise, you won’t get a single word out of me! Not one!"
Qin Fan shook his head, an unconcerned, mocking smile on his lips. "Do you really think you have the leverage to negotiate with me? Or do you think you have the mental fortitude to watch your entire family suffer unspeakable torture?"
As expected, the mention of "unspeakable torture" shattered Wang Zongguo’s defiant expression. The ferocious look on his face froze, and he was once again consumed by boundless, trembling fear.
"What do you want to do? What are you going to do?" he stammered. "No, no, they’re innocent! Innocent!"
"I’m asking you one last time," Qin Fan said indifferently, his patience wearing thin. "Are you going to talk or not?"
"I’ll talk! I’ll talk! I’ll talk! It was Qin Jie! It was Qin Jie from your own Qin family! He made me do it! He was the one! Please, let my family go! Release them, I beg you! If you have to kill someone, kill me! Kill me, but spare them! Young Master Qin, I’m begging you!"
Under Qin Fan’s pressure, all of Wang Zongguo’s delusions shattered. He grabbed Qin Fan’s calf, wailing hysterically.
Qin Jie? The third son of the Qin family? The only remaining heir of the old Qin family? It was actually him?
Both Qin Fan and Ye Jizu, on the other end of the video, were stunned into absolute disbelief.
After a moment, Qin Fan let out a heavy breath. His expression darkened to a terrifying degree, his face becoming a mask of cold, grim shadow.
Suddenly, he lifted his palm and slammed it down viciously onto Wang Zongguo’s head!
SMACK!
A crisp crack echoed.
Wang Zongguo’s eyes went blank. Immediately after, blood began to gush wildly from his eyes, nostrils, mouth, and ears—all seven orifices. He crashed heavily to the ground. The bleeding from his seven orifices was a summons from the Death God himself.
He was utterly dead from a single strike.
"No, no! Zongguo, Zongguo, Zongguo!"
"Dad! Dad!"
"My son! My son!"
Watching Wang Zongguo fall dead on the screen, his family thrashed wildly, trying to lunge forward. But held fast by Ye Jizu’s men, they could not move an inch.
Biting his lip, Ye Jizu asked into the phone, "Master Qin, what should be done with them?"
"If you don’t pull out the root when you cut the weed, it will grow again in the spring. Besides... they were complicit. Kill them."
There was no mercy in his voice. During his five hundred years on the path of a mad Demon on the Cangqiong Continent, Qin Fan had seen far too many instances of trouble springing back to life. Compared to the risk of future complications, concepts like mercy, indecision, or sparing a target’s family were a fool’s errand.
Never underestimate a heart filled with hatred. Qin Fan understood this more clearly than anyone. Leaving a hidden danger to fester was not his style, and it never would be.
With that final, murderous command, Qin Fan hung up.
Looking at the corpses on the ground, he waved his hand through the air, and they all stacked neatly together. He produced a True Fire Talisman from his clothes and tossed it onto the pile.
His Eyes of Golden Flame flashed.
Instantly, a raging True Fire incinerated the pile of corpses, reducing it to ash.
Young Master Qiao? Third Uncle Qin? Heh...
With an utterly grim smile, Qin Fan placed his hands behind his back and walked slowly away.
*PS: Some readers have asked why someone in the Golden Core Stage would still need to use a True Fire Talisman to destroy bodies. This will be explained later!*
