My Tribrid System: More than a Monster

Chapter 438: Power of the Kyre family!

Chapter 436

The moment Orvak’s body struck the ground, a massive cloud of dust erupted into the air, spreading across the battlefield and swallowing the area in a thick, shifting haze.

For a brief moment, the Six-Spined Abberant disappeared completely behind the dust.

Jack didn’t waste a second of that opportunity.

He swiftly dove downward like an eagle, his body cutting through the air with tremendous speed.

His axe spun behind him several times, the massive weapon carving through the air as his stern, determined gaze remained fixed on the spot where Orvak had fallen.

He was less than a second away from striking.

His axe was already descending towards the dust when—

His eyes widened.

Something was wrong.

Jack immediately tried to dive to the side.

BOOOOM!

A huge invisible attack tore through the space he had occupied a moment earlier, ripping through the air and smashing into the building behind him.

The entire structure shattered under the impact.

Chunks of concrete and steel exploded outward as Jack narrowly escaped the attack.

He landed hard on the ground and rolled several times before finally coming to a complete halt.

His boots scraped against the earth.

’Damn that attack.’

He barely had time to recover.

Within a blink, Orvak’s leg came racing towards him with lightning speed.

Jack’s eyes snapped upward.

He barely managed to bring his hands in front of his face.

CLANG!

The Abberant’s leg crashed directly into his axe with bone-rattling force.

The impact was so powerful that the ground beneath both of them immediately shattered.

Cracks spread outward from their feet as debris and dust were violently kicked into the air.

Jack gritted his teeth and tried to parry the leg away.

But Orvak was already moving.

The Abberant kicked off with his other leg, using the momentum to twist his body before his tail came lashing towards Jack.

WAM!

The tail struck him with the force of a speeding train.

Jack’s entire body was lifted from the ground.

The impact sent a violent jolt through his frame, and he could almost hear his bones rattling inside his own body.

Before he could recover, he was hurled backward.

BOOM!

He crashed through one building.

Then another.

And another.

Walls exploded around him as his body tore through the structures, leaving behind gaping holes and collapsing sections of buildings in his wake.

Orvak landed smoothly like a cat.

His feet touched the ground with almost unnatural ease.

The Abberant didn’t pause.

He simply edged forward.

And then—

Without wasting even a fraction of a second, Orvak suddenly exploded forward.

His entire body became a blur.

A terrifying, lightning-fast lunge.

The air seemed to shatter around him as he tore through it like a missile, his speed generating a violent pressure that rippled through the surrounding area.

Then—

BOOOM—!

Jack tore forward from the gaping holes he had created in the buildings.

His axe slashed ahead of him.

For a split second, the world seemed to freeze.

Orvak was less than a heartbeat away from colliding with him.

Jack stood directly in front of a building, his body braced as the massive axe swept through the air.

Unhesitatingly, Orvak pushed off the ground.

His legs slammed against the wall of the building behind Jack.

BOOM!

The force of the impact cracked the structure.

With another explosive burst, the Abberant launched himself backward like a missile.

Jack’s axe sliced through the space where Orvak had been.

The sheer force of the swing caused the atmosphere to implode around the weapon.

BOOOOM!

The building behind Jack was blasted apart as if a bomb had detonated inside it.

Concrete, steel, and rubble erupted into the air.

Several pieces nearly slammed into Jack.

His eyes sharpened.

He darted away from the collapsing structure in the nick of time.

He slid across the ground before abruptly lowering his body.

A leg tore past his head.

WHOOSH!

The limb shattered the sound barrier as it passed, the pressure alone causing Jack’s hair and robe to whip violently.

He immediately swept his own leg across the ground, aiming to catch the creature on his back.

But Orvak seemed to read his thoughts.

The Abberant leaped into the air before Jack’s sweep could connect.

’Damn. He’s gotten faster.’

Jack’s eyes followed the creature.

Without hesitation, he hurled his axe upward in a powerful slashing motion.

A white-hot crescent slash erupted from the weapon and ripped through the air towards Orvak.

The attack carried tremendous heat and destructive force as it raced upward.

But Orvak didn’t move to dodge.

He didn’t even try.

Instead, he simply crossed his hands in front of his face.

BOOOOM!

The crescent slash collided with him with thunderous force.

The intense heat immediately seared across his rocky skin, scorching the surface and attempting to burn through the hardened material.

The residual force of the attack threw Orvak out of the air.

His body was sent backward before he landed several metres away.

But Jack was already there.

The man appeared directly behind the creature.

His axe was already swinging.

The blade raced towards Orvak’s already bleeding back.

Jack’s eyes widened.

All six spines lining the Abberant’s back suddenly lit up at once.

Every single one.

The strange structures swelled outward for a split second, expanding like dough beneath tremendous pressure.

Then—

They detonated.

The same invisible shots that had repeatedly burst from Orvak’s fingers erupted from his spines.

’Fuck!’

Jack’s expression changed instantly.

The area of impact was enormous.

Far too wide.

There was barely anywhere for him to move.

The invisible attacks were already consuming the space around him, tearing through the battlefield with terrifying speed.

Jack took half a step backward.

His gaze flickered upward.

The sun was still shining brightly in the sky.

Then—

He vanished.

His body shot away from the area as he crossed a dozen metres in the blink of an eye.

And he made it just in time.

BOOOOOOM!

The attack consumed the entire landscape behind the Abberant.

Buildings were torn apart.

Vehicles were crushed beneath the tremendous force.

The ground was ripped open as the invisible barrage ravaged everything caught within its enormous area of impact.

The blast spread outward with devastating intensity.

A massive shockwave followed.

The earth parted behind the Abberant as the same sinister grin remained plastered across his face.

Chunks of concrete and debris rolled away from his feet as Orvak slowly turned around.

His movements were fluid.

Almost casual.

His gaze locked onto the head of the Kyre family standing a dozen metres away.

Jack was panting heavily.

His chest rose and fell with every breath, his body visibly struggling to keep up with the battle.

It would seem as if the man was nearing his limits with each passing second.

Yet his eyes remained sharp.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You look not so glamorous. What happened? Need a little bit of glitter, Dear, Big Four sir?"

Orvak’s grin widened.

His tail and fingers pointed directly at Jack.

".... I can help with that."

KA-BOOOM!

A black void erupted from the Abberant.

Yellow lightning crackled violently within its depths, crawling across the darkness like serpents trapped inside an endless abyss.

Then the attack shot forward.

It tore through the battlefield with terrifying speed.

Anything caught in its path was consumed as though it had never existed.

Buildings disappeared.

Debris vanished.

The very air seemed to distort around the advancing black void.

Jack didn’t run.

He didn’t vanish.

The man simply shifted into a firm stance.

His feet planted themselves against the ground as he lifted his weapon in front of his face.

His expression hardened.

The blade ignited.

A furious white radiance erupted from the weapon, growing hotter and brighter with every passing second.

The glow intensified.

It reflected across Jack’s battered face as he slowly raised the axe high above his head.

His teeth gnashed tightly.

Blood trickled from the corner of his lips.

His breathing became heavier.

Yet his grip only tightened.

With a loud grunt, Jack hauled the weapon downward with every ounce of strength remaining in his body.

BOOOOM!

A sphere of white light erupted from the axe.

It resembled a miniature sun.

Blinding.

Scorching.

And carrying enough destructive power to tear through everything standing before it.

The white sphere raced forward.

The black void raced toward it.

And then—

They collided.

For one impossible instant, the world seemed to turn darker and brighter at the exact same time.

KA-BOOOM!

A deafening sonic boom rippled across the entire battlefield.

The collision unleashed an explosion of opposing energies that swallowed everything caught between them.

Buildings.

Human corpses.

Abberant corpses.

Everything within the vicinity was instantly consumed and erased from existence.

The concrete beneath the clash heated beyond recognition.

It melted.

Then hardened into glass.

Sparks of scorching energy ripped across the shelter, tearing down electrical poles and carving deep crevices into the earth.

The air itself seemed to scream.

Then came the shockwave.

It slammed into Jack with the force of a freight train.

BOOOOM!

His body shot backward like a star.

Blood erupted from his mouth as he was hurled through the battlefield.

BOOM!

His body smashed through one building.

Then another.

Then another.

Each impact sent debris cascading through the streets.

Until finally—

His body slammed into a building that refused to break so easily.

The structure shook violently.

Jack’s hands were raised to his sides, palms pressed against the wall as his body remained stuck against it.

His head hung low.

Blood dripped from his mouth.

Tak.

Tak.

Tak.

Droplets fell towards the ground beneath him.

One after another.

Almost forming a small pool beneath his elevated body.

His shirt was torn in several places.

The once-glamorous body of the head of the Kyre family now looked battered and pale, crimson covering almost every visible part of him.

The wounds on his shoulders and thighs remained open.

Blood continued flowing from them.

Jack coughed.

"Kuh..."

A mouthful of blood spilled from his lips.

His axe slipped from his weakening hands.

CLANG!

The divine weapon struck the ground below.

Jack didn’t even react.

Then—

Tak.

Tak.

Tak.

Footsteps approached.

Orvak could be seen calmly walking forward through the destruction.

His steps were steady.

Unhurried.

Almost leisurely.

The Abberant stopped a metre away from Jack.

His grin widened to its absolute limit as he looked at the battered head of the Kyre family, pinned against the wall.

"This is too beautiful. Hahah! The others will be so jelly when I inform them I took down a Big Four all alone without anybody’s help. Hahaha!"

Orvak laughed loudly.

His shoulders shook with amusement.

"And to think I warned him. I did warn him to go all out, but he refused. He wanted to show off."

The creature shook his head in exaggerated pity.

"Sigh.... So sad. Humans and being foolish."

He lifted a single finger.

The tip pointed directly at Jack.

Jack’s head remained lowered.

".... Oh well, I will p—"

"Kek... kuk... pffff.... Hahahaha."

The laughter interrupted him.

Orvak’s expression froze.

Jack suddenly burst into loud, unhinged laughter.

He swung his head backward, completely ignoring the wall that still held his battered body in place.

His smile stretched from ear to ear.

His pearly white teeth were fully exposed.

There was blood across his face.

His body was riddled with wounds.

He was barely standing.

Yet his eyes didn’t belong to someone who had given up.

Not even close.

There was something else inside them.

Something darker.

Something that had been waiting.

A hint of—

...hidden madness.

"You want to boast?"

Jack’s laughter slowly died down.

"Tch. What a fool."

His gaze sharpened.

"Even without going all out, I still survived your all out."

Jack spat a mouthful of blood onto the ground.

"And you want to boast?"

The disdain in his voice was unmistakable.

His expression changed.

The madness remained.

But now something else had joined it.

Confidence.

Jack slowly straightened himself against the wall.

Then his eyes hardened.

"Now that I have gauged your full strength, let me show you the power of the Kyre family."

Suddenly—

The atmosphere changed.

The air began trembling.

Not slightly.

Not gradually.

It shook with such fierceness that the surrounding debris began vibrating against the ground.

The very space around Jack seemed to tremble.

Orvak’s grin slowly disappeared.

His eyes narrowed.

Something was happening.

Something impossible was about to begin.

Jack’s voice rang across the battlefield.

"Come forth; Kaiser!"

ROARRRRRRRR—!

An ear-piercing roar suddenly split the air.

The sound was so powerful that the surrounding structures trembled.

Something began emerging above Jack’s head.

Orvak’s expression darkened.

A frown slowly crossed his face.

His eyes widened slightly.

’Fuck.’
