Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill

Chapter 164: The Interrogation

[Phantom Imprint Activated!]

All of a sudden, a mark appeared in the soul space of all nine of the humans.

Though none of them even noticed it. With a thought from Neil, the mark released powerful fluctuations that made them feel so much pain.

It wasn’t the pain in their body, but from the very soul, foaming from the mouth all of them fainted instantly.

’This is not bad.’ Neil thought, as he used a liquid hand and threw them all into different prison cells.

Inside, they wouldn’t be able to do anything.

Just to be sure, Neil broke their arms and legs in advance and gave them a poke with the frost blade.

It would freeze up all the essence in their bodies, leaving them completely helpless.

Now this step was done, he gave Magnar the order to beat up that diamond class human.

Outside the domain, Magnar’s speed suddenly increased as he smashed into the human, and the sound of several bones cracking rang out.

Groaning, the diamond class subject was engulfed by magma in the next moment, burning his skin off completely.

In the end, he had no choice but to flee after launching dozens of air blades at Magnar which were completely ineffective.

Magnar didn’t chase and let the man escape, then he turned and reduced in size, quickly rushing into the domain as if to protect Neil.

’Damnit, I hope those guys have already killed Neil- wait, he is still alive?

This familiar didn’t disappear after all!’ he suddenly remembered that it was him who had ordered not to kill Neil but to capture him.

And now, all of them would be attacked by that dangerous familiar, they were no match for it.

Without caring about them, he turned and ran away in a hurry.

His own life was far more important than them, not to mention, they were just here to scout.

The bird in the sky had observed this all, then followed the fleeing man.

Inside the prison cell, the nine men lay in a broken state, the essence in their bodies was completely frozen.

"Wake up, it’s time for interrogation!" Neil called out, and with a wave of his hand, he threw burning hot water onto them all.

Agggghhhhh

With loud screams the nine woke up and were terrified, they weren’t like trained assassins who would kill themselves if they were caught.

They were just subjects who were good at fighting and were doing such a mission for the first time.

"Tell me who sent you here, if any of you write the wrong name, you can’t imagine the pain you will be feeling." Neil said.

One of the men hesitated and spoke: "U- Uhm sir but how are we to write? Our limbs are all broken..."

"Hmm right, I forgot. Guess you are useless now, I might as well throw you all into acid-" Neil spoke, and his words terrified the group.

"W- Wait, I will tell you everything, please spare me!" one of them shouted.

Under the constant mental pressure from Neil, they were too vulnerable and couldn’t refuse.

"Leon, hear the name of their leader from each of them." Neil ordered, and the commander of his army nodded.

"Yes, lord!" following the order, Leon walked into each of the prison cells and heard the name.

After that, he walked up to Neil and answered: "All of them mentioned the same name, it’s a lord named Marco who is at 5th Origin."

This was a name Neil was hearing for the first time, but what made him frown was the rank.

How was he going to deal with someone like that?

And despite being so strong, he didn’t come here but sent his underlings.

He was certainly probing, maybe not just his strength but his backup. Was he afraid of his parents?

Or just the fake image of them, believing they have sent someone to protect him?

"Wait, it is also possible they have discussed a name in advance, if the information is wrong I might go after the wrong target." Neil suddenly thought of this.

"But how do we know if that’s a lie or not?" he wondered.

And after a moment, Neil ordered: "Throw them all into the same prison, and then drag one of them at a time to that cell."

"Oh right, bring the most fearful and meekest at the 7th position." He added.

Then Neil walked towards the said prison and sat on a chair present inside.

Leon first threw all of them into the same prison cell, wondering what Neil was planning.

’Does lord want them to talk among themselves so the truth could be leaked?’ he wondered.

But after he threw them all into the same cell, none of them even uttered a word.

Sighing, Leon gave up on trying to understand and dragged one of them to Neil.

The other eight were feeling quite nervous, they couldn’t hear anything, wondering if they were really going to die.

Leon stood outside the cell in which Neil and one of the men were, he could see Neil asking something but couldn’t hear anything.

After a minute, Neil hit him with a whip made of liquid, creating painfully deep wounds all over his body.

"Leon, you can throw him back there, now drag another." After beating him half to death, Neil ordered.

"Y- Yes lord." Leon didn’t waste a second, as he dragged the unconscious guy away.

Then came the second, after questioning, he was beaten up too.

Then third, Neil asked the same question: "I know you are lying, tell me the name of the real master you are working for."

And came the same reply: "I- I am telling the truth, please believe me... I wouldn’t dare to lie."

The third man was beaten just as badly, the sight of them would make anyone’s blood run cold.

Then came the fourth and the same happened.

Leon still couldn’t understand what had happened.

Fifth and sixth were both sent back in equally bad shape, they were unconscious and needed a few minutes to regain their senses.

But after waking up they looked at one another and saw the same question.

’You didn’t leak any news, right?’

Now Leon dragged away the seventh man who was shaking the most, after seeing the state of the six men before him, he was so afraid.

Just the scent of their blood almost made him piss and faint, but he barely held on, otherwise they would all be killed.

They only needed to stay quiet.

Leon made him sit on the chair in front of Neil and walked out.

"Your name is?" Neil asked, as he pulled out a plate from his inventory.

"I- I am J- Jack sir! SOB please spare me, I- I really told the truth, you can confirm, we are all the subjects of Lord Marco." He spoke amidst his sobs.

Of course, Neil had already confirmed that they were telling the truth to a certain extent.

They were indeed Marco’s subjects, but the more they denied, the firmer Neil’s belief became that they were lying.

Any normal person when beaten like that would even make up false names just to protect himself.

But they were so eager to sell off their lord, that they kept repeating his name until the end.

"Don’t worry, just relax." After speaking, Neil took out a few pieces of cooked delicious meat and set them in front of Jack.

"Eat it." Neil said.

"SOB I- Is it poison? Please Uwahhh I’m begging you, please I was just sent here by Lord Marco-" he begged, crying loudly.

"Just eat!" Neil pressured him even more with his mental energy, making Jack shiver then added:

"There is no poison inside, I wouldn’t need that to kill you. Eat and then we will talk."

Jack was afraid but was also feeling hungry because of all the fear and pain.

Like a mindless beast, he leaned in as his face smashed into the meat pieces and he began to eat them, his entire face covered with oil.

Neil sat silently as he ate, after a few minutes once he had finished, he placed a bowl filled with some wine and asked:

"I only have one question for you."

’Of course I know what your question is going to be, is he going to kill me after feeding me? Did he feed all the others too?

No matter what I won’t say anything.’ Despite being the meekest in the group, he wasn’t going to say a word.

"Y- Yes?" Jack looked up at Neil after licking some wine and quenching his thirst.

Neil leaned forward, his chin resting on his hand, as he asked in a solemn tone: "What are your hobbies?"

"It is Lord Marc- huh? Hobbies?" Jack had prepared his reply in advance but didn’t expect the change of question.

He was puzzled and speechless, licking his lips which were covered in wine and oil from the meat, he muttered:

"Uhm I like h- hunting and uhm... going out with women, and boating too."

"Hmm I see." Neil nodded, then he stood up and called out: "Leon, send him back to the cell but a bit more respectfully."

"...Okay lord." Leon nodded, wondering why the time taken this time was several times longer than before.

Neil walked out of the cell and Leon pulled along Jack by his shoulder, unlike with others whom he just dragged by their broken legs.

Then he made Jack sit inside and looked back at Neil.

"Lord, do I need to bring the last guy too?"

"No, there is no need for that. Let’s go." Neil answered as Leon shrugged, locked the cell and left the prison.

The eyes of the seven men moved to Jack.
