Chapter 982: A Thousand Years’ Worth.
Sword Maestro would have thought that that Tepid Scholar’s behavior was weird if not for the fact that Martial Will was not the only one who was distracted at the moment.Every other Dao Lord was too focused on what was going on in the Blessed Heaven World to allow them to indulge in asking questions and arguing with each other. In light of this, he seemed to be the weird one for worrying about something other than the fate of Black Chains.
This made him scoff inwardly and mutter to himself, "I don’t know what they are worried about. It is not as if the sky is about to fall."
Then he sighed, thinking, ’Maybe it is because I am the youngest and haven’t experienced or lived under his tyranny as much as they have.’
He didn’t think that there was anything special about Black Chains other than admitting that his former master was very strong. Because of this, he believed that anyone would be as fearsome and troublesome to deal with at Black Chains if they had the same amount of strength.
So now that Black Chains had met someone who was more than his match in strength, there was nothing else to expect other than defeat and death. In fact, he was looking forward to seeing the death of his master.
The only thing that made him anxious was his impatience in getting to see Black Chains forced to meet a brutal end. So just like everyone else, he also spared some of his attention to see what was going on down below.
He saw the dragon walk over to the silver monkey next. Then he saw the dragon lay the palm of his hand on top of the head of the silver monkey.
A second later, he saw the silver monkey fragmenting, dying with a stoic face and eyes full of defiance. As the silver monkey’s body gave out, a glowing white ball made of pieces of metal woven together in harmony and balance like the strings in a ball of yarn was left in its place.
At this point, three of Black Chain’s avatars had died. So only two more avatars were remaining.
The remaining avatars were supposed to be the two most important avatars for Black Chains. Therefore, if he had some hidden cards that he hadn’t played yet, now was the time to play them before he lost his last avatar.
The world seemed to halt and freeze in place, which it did because of the pressure of the attention of the Dao Lords who didn’t want to miss a single thing, as the dragon went over to the black monkey.
In this frozen world, only the dragon could move. They saw the dragon release the black monkey from its prison and place his hand on the monkey. Then they saw the black monkey collapse.
As if in disbelief, Martial Will asked, "Are you really not going to do anything?"
His question seemed to be directed at Black Chains, but for all intents and purposes, his question wasn’t received by Black Chains. The Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect ignored him and his questions and everything else going on.
