THE GOD EATER

Chapter 934: Home Ground Advantage.

Chapter 934: Home Ground Advantage.

As long as Sword Maestro doesn’t give up on the avatar, the avatar will never die. But it also means that if Loki plays his cards right, he might be able to kill the true body or force the true body to give up on the avatar.

This is the price that Sword Maestro paid when he insisted on shifting the battlefield to the world barrier. What would determine if the price he paid was worth it is if the Blessed Heaven World is able to do what he couldn’t do and negate the amplification of Loki’s Authority.

As Loki approached him, he said, "At this point, I can tell that even if you’re suppressed, I would still be weaker than you. But that doesn’t mean that you should be able to defeat me."

His voice rose as he said with pride, "I am a Dao Lord of the Blessed Heaven. This is my home ground, so it is you that should lose."

In response, Loki punched his face. His fist smashed into the avatar’s head and took the head off his neck.

Actually, it was more like the fist smashed his head open. Or his head exploded from his neck upwards. Either way, the avatar lost its head.

But this didn’t stop the avatar from fighting back. Without his head, Sword Maestro was still able to swing his stick and strike Loki.

Because of the True Damage Ability, the stick was always able to bypass Loki’s defense and injure him. Loki was still able to heal the injury and stop his bleeding, but he had no more source of lifespan to use other than devouring the avatar in front of him.

When Sword Maestro felt Loki’s power and estimated its level, he couldn’t believe his eyes. He wanted to shake his head in disbelief, but he had no head to shake.

His mind could only say in disbelief, "This is not right. How did you do it?"

Apparently, the world barrier wasn’t able to suppress Loki’s Authority. That’s the only explanation he could come up with for why Loki’s power seemed to be exactly the same as when they were outside the world barrier.

So he was able to fight back here, and he was always able to injure Loki, but Loki was still much stronger and much faster than him. Because of their disparity, Loki was able to inflict more injury on him than he could inflict on Loki.

Plus, he was still able to mark him and use the Devouring Ability on him through the mark. So Loki was still replenishing his lifespan while reducing the avatar’s lifespan at the same time.

The only things that fought in the world barrier were that the world barrier was siphoning Loki’s lifespan, and Loki couldn’t replenish his lifespan from devouring the world around him.

As for the avatar, it was doing better now that the whole world wasn’t trying to eat him anymore. This came at the extra cost of losing the advantage of perception from his true body.
