Chapter 271: Let Go
She swung again, her arm whipping forward like a piston, making her breasts jiggle heavily with the motion, but he dodged again.

"You rushed to conclusions. I didn’t follow you here. I just happened to hear the sound of a stream while taking a look around, and I came here."
Elion glanced back toward the pond and found that only Zenovia’s head was visible above the water, though even then, her face was half-submerged up to her nose, as if she was trying to hide herself as much as possible.
Her golden eyes peeked out, glaring daggers, but the flush on her cheeks betrayed her embarrassment.
’Just how deep did she go?’
"Just go away into the woods for a bit so we can get out and put some clothes on!" Zenovia shouted again from the pool.
"Yes, ma’am."
He stopped at a distance where the waterfall, the river, and the pond were still within view.
He could still make out their movements. From behind a thick tree trunk, he leaned casually with eyes fixed on the water.
She waded out quickly, water sluicing off her slender body as she looked around for a bit, probably checking if he was still close by.

She harrumphed, but before she could continue, Maya reached out and tugged lightly at her waist.

Zenovia hesitated.
"Tch!" In the end, she clicked her tongue and turned back toward him. She raised a hand and pointed at him sharply. "We are not done here!" she declared.
"Let’s go!"
’Cute,’ Elion thought, a faint chuckle escaping him.
And just like that, he was alone again.
He let out a small breath, then reached up and ran a hand through his hair.
With no one else around now, he didn’t hesitate any longer.
For a brief moment, he simply stood there, taking in the scene again, the waterfall, the glowing lights, the stillness of the pond beneath the moonlight.
His body cut cleanly through the surface, sending ripples outward as the water closed around him, cool and refreshing, washing over him in an instant.
"...Yeah," he muttered, a faint smile forming.
The water wrapped around him the moment he settled into it, cool at first contact, yet carrying a faint underlying warmth that spread slowly across his skin, easing the tension in his muscles as if it were seeping into him.
The flickering lights drifted lazily across the surface and just above it, their soft glow shifting in gentle pulses, casting faint colors that danced across his body and the surrounding water, creating a calm, almost dreamlike atmosphere.
His body gradually went still as he leaned back, allowing himself to float, the water supporting him effortlessly as the sounds of the outside world faded into the steady rhythm of the waterfall and the quiet movement of the current.
For a while, he did nothing but stay still and feel the sensation of the water, the subtle warmth, the cool air brushing against his face, and the faint glow pressing gently against his eyelids.
It reached a point where Elion no longer even felt fully conscious.
It felt... good.
Like, there was no reason to move.
And no reason to think.
