Chapter 681: A deal
Once again, her smile widened, visibly pleased with his words, and Elion found himself wondering how far he could push this before she grew tired of being flattered.
There was something almost girlish about her delight, which made the human bones lying behind her all the more disturbing. He couldn’t reconcile the two, but he was beginning to realise that she saw no contradiction between them.
[Careful, host.]
’You think I need reminding?’
"Show me your hand," she said suddenly, withdrawing her graceful palm from his cheek and pointing toward his left hand.
Elion’s brow rose, a flicker of uncertainty passing through his expression.
’What does she hope to achieve by asking for my hand?’ he wondered, though he had little intention of keeping her waiting.
He extended his arm, allowing the back of his hand to settle into her upturned palm.
Her touch was deceptively gentle. Slender fingers glided beneath his wrist, and her palm followed the underside of his forearm with an almost leisurely delicacy.
She passed his elbow without stopping, moving upward until her hand came to rest around his biceps, and then her fingers wrapped halfway around it.
The strength behind that slender grip was so terrifying that Elion felt his blood run cold. His eyes widened, his pupils contracting into pinpricks as the realisation struck him, but by then, she had already pulled.
A sickening crack reverberated through the chamber, followed by the wet, hideous sound of flesh tearing apart.
Pain erupted through his shoulder with such savage intensity that his breath caught in his throat, strangling the cry that tried to escape. For an instant, he remained upright, staring at the arm still clutched in her pale hand.
The sight scarcely had time to register before his legs buckled. Elion dropped heavily onto one knee, a ragged groan breaking from his bloodied lips as his right hand flew to the ruined socket of his left shoulder.
Warm blood surged between his fingers, spilling down his side and pattering against the frozen stone beneath him.
He glared at with horror and anger.
The damned humanoid arachnid stood over him with his severed limb in her hand, her beautiful features displaying neither remorse nor the slightest concern for his suffering.
Then her mouth began to open.
At first, the movement was almost ordinary. A moment later, the corners stretched beyond their natural limits, distorting that exquisite face as her lips parted into a grotesque, cavernous opening.
The delicate proportions of her human guise gave way before his eyes, revealing a ravenous maw that seemed impossibly large for the face containing it.
Without a word, she lifted his severed hand to her mouth.
Her jaws closed with a gruesome crunch.
Elion watched in abject horror as she devoured it. The fingers vanished first, followed by the wrist, and then the rest of his arm disappeared into that gaping orifice with appalling speed.
Each movement of her jaws brought another muffled crack, another wet sound of flesh yielding beneath her voracious appetite.
It was over in seconds.
The limb that had rested in her palm only moments ago was gone, leaving nothing but blood upon her fingers, some of it smeared around her face and mouth, and the unbearable absence at Elion’s shoulder.
Behind him, his companions stood transfixed. Whatever fragile hope they had drawn from the master’s laughter and apparent delight had been obliterated before any of them could act.
Their faces drained of colour as they stared at Elion kneeling in his own blood, then at the beautiful creature swallowing the last of his arm.
There was no mistaking her intentions now. They were most certainly going to be eaten.
A delighted moan suddenly slipped from the master’s lips. She had swallowed his entire arm, and her mouth returned to its normal shape, but she continued moaning like a whore.
Bringing her hands to her cheeks, she suddenly fell to her knees as though her legs had lost their strength.
Elion watched with a stunned expression, but he didn’t have the luxury of focusing on the sight. Whatever was happening to her, this was their chance. His flesh was already knitting itself back together, though it would take a while to heal completely.
He quickly bought a potion from the system store, holding it in his right hand as he pulled the cork free with his teeth and poured the contents into his mouth.
A luminescent green glow emanated from his body, concentrating around his ruined shoulder. A new arm rapidly grew in place of the one he had lost.
That side of his bodysuit was gone, but fortunately, the material began extending over his restored limb, repairing the damaged section until it covered him once more.
The master’s four servants made no move to check on her, showing just how much trust they had in her regardless of what was happening.
She seemed to be recovering from her sudden fit of moaning, but when Elion looked at her again, he found an expression of utterly crazed delight on her face, as though she had reached the peak of ecstasy.
He didn’t need to see the puddle of translucent fluid beneath her naked body to understand what had happened, but the sight unsettled him deeply.
’System,’ he called inwardly, intending to open the Love Meter.
[I don’t think I need to explain this one to you, right?]
Elion nodded as he rose to his feet. He had run into another crazed bitch, except this one was a saint who had only just developed a fetish for his flesh after eating his entire arm.
Her mouth hung open, and had she possessed visible pupils, he was certain they would have rolled back into her head.
Her fingers curled around the sides of her face, her pinkies reaching into her mouth as saliva spilled from her lips. She lay there with her legs spread, lost in her own delight.
It was an absolutely perverted sight.
Eventually, she came back to her senses, at least somewhat, though ragged gasps still escaped her mouth as she shakily rose to her feet. "Haha..." she laughed breathily. "I was right. And you even healed yourself. How fantastic..."
"You said you wanted me to let you go, didn’t you? Well, I will certainly do that, but first, we need to make a deal. You and me!"
They stared at one another, Elion utterly stupefied and the master horrifyingly delighted. Her smile widened, the corners of her mouth stretching into a frothy grin as she drooled like a hungry beast.
