Apocalypse with my SSS Harem Beauties

Chapter 241: A Suggestion

Inside that boundless void, Myles continued to drift without direction as the thick darkness and slow-moving mist surrounded him from every side, pressing in yet never truly touching him.

He no longer felt the battlefield or the weight of his weapons. Or even the presence of Red. Only the memory remained, lingering at the edge of his awareness. It clashed harshly with the stillness of this place.

His thoughts struggled to catch up with what had happened as confusion filled him, followed by a slow and painful clarity that forced its way into his mind.

He remembered the fight, the clash of blades, the surge of power, and then George's voice breaking through everything.

Clara and Daniel were dead.

The realization did not strike him all at once this time. It seeped into him, spreading through his chest until it tightened and twisted into unbearable pain, dragging despair along with it as his breathing grew heavier despite the emptiness around him.

"Why… why does it always end like this?"

The thought surfaced from deep within him, trembling under the weight of his emotions as anger began to rise alongside the pain.

It burned through him, directed not at the battlefield or at Red, but at himself.

He had grown stronger. He had learned to control Ether. He had become more careful, more aware, and he had even received guidance from Lilian, yet none of it had been enough to stop this outcome.

The memory of Nadine surfaced again, sharp and unrelenting, dragging him back to that same helpless moment where everything slipped away from him without resistance.

Now it had happened again. Different faces… but same result.

The pattern became impossible to ignore, and it twisted his thoughts further as they turned inward.

"If I can't protect them… then what's the point of any of this?"

His fists tightened as that idea began to form into something darker.

"Maybe… I shouldn't let anyone get close anymore. Then they won't die because of me."

The conclusion settled from the deepest part of his despair, heavy and absolute, as if it had already become truth in his mind.

The void around him seemed to lose even the faint meaning it once held. The drifting colors and shifting mist no longer drew his attention as his focus turned inward, collapsing into that growing emptiness.

He no longer cared where he was or why he had been brought there. None of it mattered compared to what he had lost.

That indifference spread quickly, dulling everything else until even the weight of his grief began to become colder and more distant.

Then, without warning, a presence began to form in front of him.

It did not arrive with sound or movement that he could track, yet it became undeniable the moment it existed.

Myles slowly lifted his head as the massive circle at the center of that void pulsed once, then again, its shifting form radiating a quiet intensity that seemed to respond to the change.

From that pulse, a figure began to take shape. It stood before him in a humanoid outline. But its form refused to settle into anything clear.

Darkness made up its base, but colors flowed across it like liquid light, blending and separating in constant motion as if it existed between definitions.

Myles stared at it. His expression was still empty, but his attention was fully captured.

Then it spoke.

"It's not your fault, Myles."

The voice did not belong to a single source. It overlapped in layers with both a male and female tone at the same time, merging into one that echoed through the void and settled directly into his mind.

"It's the Blood Sun embryo's fault," it continued, calm yet certain. "Don't you agree?"

Myles' expression slowly changed as the words settled into his mind, the emptiness in his eyes tightening bit by bit until something darker began to take shape.

His jaw clenched as tension spread across his face, pulling his features into a strained and rigid expression while the emotions he had been suppressing started to rise again. It was no longer dull or distant but sharp and burning.

The despair that had weighed him down did not disappear. It turned and it twisted into anger that surged from deep within his chest, growing stronger with every passing second as his hands curled into fists at his sides.

"It's… right," he said, his voice low, but it carried a rough edge that trembled under the pressure of what he felt. "It's all because of him… because of Red… and that thing behind him…"

His breathing grew heavier and faster as the words continued to force their way out. It was no longer controlled as the anger pushed forward without restraint.

"Why… why do they turn everything into this?!" His voice rose, cracking under the strain as his composure broke further. "Why are we treated like this?! Like pieces in a game?!" His teeth clenched tightly as his entire body tensed, the emotions spilling over completely.

"Why do those higher beings think they can do whatever they want with us?!" His voice echoed through the void. It was louder now, filled with raw fury and pain that he no longer held back. "Why don't they just leave us alone?!"

The anger broke and it became even more unstable as his breathing turned ragged. Tears began to form and spill down his face, cutting through the tension as he gritted his teeth harder.

His entire body was shaking under the weight of everything he had lost and everything he could not control.

The pain and rage mixed together until they became inseparable, driving him further into that unstable state where he no longer tried to contain anything.

The figure in front of him remained still for the moment. Its shifting form continued to flow with those layered colors as it listened without interruption. Then it responded.

"It is because they are cruel," the voice said calmly, its overlapping tones echoing softly yet clearly. "They watch, they interfere, and they shape everything for their own amusement."

The words settled into the void with unsettling certainty.

"What you said is true. They do not see you as equals. Only as pieces within their game."

A brief pause followed, as if allowing those words to fully sink in before it continued.

"If you wish to stop that… then you must rise beyond what they expect. You must become strong enough to oppose their rules."

Myles' breathing slowed slightly, not from calm but from focus as the anger within him shifted again, now directed toward that possibility.

His eyes lifted fully toward the figure. The intensity in them was no longer empty but filled with sharper intentions.

"How…?" he asked, his voice still rough but steadier than before. "How can I do that?"

The figure's form trembled faintly, its colors rippling more violently for a moment as if reacting to the question.

"You must go beyond this place," it answered. "Beyond this broken world."

Its voice lowered slightly, carrying a deeper weight.

"You must ascend into higher realms… and claim more power for yourself."

The words lingered in the void. It was filled with heavy implication, as the presence before him remained fixed in place, waiting for his response.

"I will do it."
