Chapter 121: Meeting the supremacies
Alex was about to head out for another hunt when he suddenly stopped mid step because a notification rang clearly inside his mind.
[You have gained 10 Billion points.]
[You are being requested to have a meeting with Supremacy Alexander. If you wish to meet him, please say yes.]
Alex stood still as if someone had frozen him in place. He did not move for several seconds, and even Ember noticed the sudden change and raised his head.
Ten billion points.
The number itself felt unreal. He had been fighting non stop, risking his life repeatedly, and yet the points he had gathered until now were not even close to that amount. Getting ten billion instantly felt absurd. More than that, the system was requesting a meeting with someone called Supremacy Alexander. He had never heard such a title before.
"What is going on..." Alex muttered under his breath.
He tried to calm himself and think rationally. The system never made mistakes, and it never handed rewards without reason. If he had received ten billion points, then someone had clearly transferred them to him. That meant someone powerful was watching him, and that someone wanted to meet him.
Before he could think further, he suddenly heard a familiar old voice inside his head.
"Boy, no need to be panicked. I am also here. You can come fearlessly."
Alex’s eyes widened slightly.
"Sage Merlin..."
The tension inside his body eased a little. If Merlin was involved, then this was not likely to be a trap. Although Merlin always acted mysterious, he had never shown any hostility toward Alex. In fact, he gave the vive of those mysterious grandpa lived in ring and gave legacies to the chinese protagonists here and there.
"So Sage Merlin is behind this," Alex murmured quietly. "I guess I can see what is actually going on. But first, let me buy some things."
He did not rush to accept the request. Ten billion points were not something he could ignore. This amount could completely change his current situation. More importantly, he had lost a huge amount of vitality during his previous battles, and Ember had sacrificed a lot of his own vitality to keep Alex alive.
His first priority was restoring their vitality.
He opened the system shop and began searching for items related to vitality. There were countless items listed, but most of them were either too weak or too expensive for what they offered. He scrolled for a while, carefully checking the descriptions.
Then something appeared at the top rankings of the list.
[Leaf of the World Tree: It can provide you 500 years of vitality. Price: 500 million points. Uses: 2 times.]
Alex’s eyes widened.
"What kind of treasure is this tree... damn," he whispered. If he found the tree it self, then wouldn’t he be able to provide thousands of years of lifespan to everyone close to him even if they couldn’t cultivate?
Five hundred years of vitality from a single leaf. And it could be used twice. That meant one leaf could provide a thousand years in total. The value was insane.
Without wasting any time, he bought three leaves instantly.
Three leaves meant fifteen hundred years of vitality.
He immediately took out one leaf and gave it to Ember, while he absorbed the other two himself.
The moment the leaf dissolved inside his body, a vast amount of vitality exploded within him like a raging tsunami. His cells began regenerating at an incredible speed, and the exhaustion that had accumulated in his body started disappearing rapidly. It felt as if a dry ocean inside him was suddenly being filled with endless water.
Ember swallowed it obediently as well.
Within seconds, a warm golden glow spread across Ember’s body. The cracks in his vitality began restoring rapidly, and his aura grew stronger and steadier.
Both of them remained still as the vitality continued flowing.
Ten minutes later, the process finally ended.
Alex exhaled slowly. He felt completely refreshed. The fatigue that had been weighing on his soul was gone, and his lifespan had returned to its peak condition.
Ember rubbed his head against Alex’s cheek.
"Master, I am happy that you are alright," Ember said softly.
Alex smiled and gently patted him.
"I am too, Ember. Thank you," he replied.
If Ember had not sacrificed his vitality earlier, Alex might not have survived that battle. He would remember that.
After restoring their vitality, Alex began purchasing other items. Earth would soon face greater threats, and he needed to prepare in advance. He bought several resources that could help humanity grow faster, along with some rare materials that could be useful later.
After finishing those purchases, his gaze fell on Mira.
She had helped him a lot by guiding him to the ruin, and without her, he might not have obtained the space cube. She deserved compensation.
Alex opened the system interface and transferred one billion points to her.
Mira’s eyes widened in shock when she received the notification.
"Thank you, Mira," Alex said calmly.
Before she could say anything, he turned toward the others.
"I will be leaving now. I might not return to the trial again."
Ares’s expression darkened immediately. He had just started building an information hub and was finally gaining momentum. Alex was his strongest support, and now he was leaving.
"Alex, though we met only for a while, it was a great experience. We would love to learn more about humans. Please come visit my clan. I will receive you personally if I survive the trial," Jaros said.
"Come visit us too," Seraphina added with a smile.
Mira walked toward Alex and gave him a light hug.
"Thanks, Alex. I will remember you forever. If you ever visit my universe, please look for me. I am from the spirit race," she said quietly.
"Okay," Alex replied with a small nod.
He was about to say yes to the system when suddenly ten powerful auras appeared behind him.
Everyone immediately turned.
It was Valerius and his group.
"Oh my my, are you trying to leave?" Valerius asked with an amused smile.
Alex frowned slightly.
He had a bad premonition. Valerius should already know that Alex had defeated Sofia, who was a supreme prodigy. Yet Valerius still looked relaxed, as if everything was under his control.
"What is wrong with him?" Alex wondered.
He used Eye of Revelation.
[Name: Valerius Nodac
Talent: Devouring Physique (Genesis)
Rank: Star Level 9
Note: He can devour his enemy and gain their talent, but the talent’s quality decreases by three levels.]
"Not bad," Alex thought. "But even this talent should not make him this arrogant."
Valerius smiled faintly.
"You have gained a Galactic tier treasure, the highest quality here, and destroyed everyone in your path. Did you think there is only one Galactic treasure in this battlefield?"
As he spoke, a golden full body armor appeared and wrapped around him.
Alex used Eye of Revelation again.
[Name: Full Body Armor
Rank: Galactic
Note: It can protect its owner from fifty consecutive full power strikes from a Galactic realm being.]
Alex understood immediately.
This armor was indeed absurd. It provided near absolute defense in this battlefield.
"Rafael, can I break his defense if I hit him with full force continuously for five minutes?" Alex asked mentally.
[Very unlikely.]
Alex nodded. That was acceptable. The armor gave him defense, but it did not make him unbeatable.
"I will give you another demonstration of Dr. Strange’s ability," Alex said calmly.
He activated Absolute Domain.
The surroundings distorted slightly.
Then he opened multiple layered portals.
One portal appeared beneath Valerius and his companions.
Because their talents were suppressed inside the domain, their reaction slowed for a moment. Alex used that chance instantly.
All ten of them fell inside the portal.
However, they did not come out from another exit.
The exit was connected back to the entrance.
They began falling endlessly inside an infinite loop.
"That takes care of the current situation," Alex said calmly. "I will set a timer. This will continue for five years. You guys should become as powerful as possible in that time."
With that, he finally accepted the system request.
His body vanished.
Seraphina watched silently.
"He is scary, isn’t he? Once he enters the universe, he will cause a tremor all over the place," she said softly.
...
Alex opened his eyes.
The moment he saw the scene before him, his mind went blank.
He almost lost consciousness from pure shock and nervousness.
There were around fifty thrones in that massive hall.
Each throne was enormous and radiated overwhelming pressure. The space itself felt heavy, as if reality was struggling to contain the beings present there.
Behind each throne, ten individuals stood silently. None of them released their aura, yet Alex could feel an indescribable pressure from each of them as well.
And then his gaze fell on Merlin.
The Merlin he thought was a supreme entity, a ruler of the cosmos, was standing quietly behind one of the thrones.
Like a subordinate.
