Chapter 1657 - 1659: I’m Not in the Mood to Listen to Your Complaints
The way he acted like a lord almost made Old Madam Luo furious again.
And the rest of the Luo family didn’t like the way he looked either.
"Aren’t you going to do something? Look at him, what kind of behavior is that? Is there any semblance of a noble family? Going out like this is a disgrace to our Luo family."
Old Madam Luo shouted at Old Mu, but Old Mu, with an unchanged expression, walked up to Luo Linhao, dragged him up from his chair, and sat down himself.
Luo Linhao was speechless and had to find another seat. Another Luo family member, who had also been made to get up, dared not confront Luo Linhao despite his anger; this was someone who dared to scold even his grandmother and had been bold enough to hit people since childhood.
"I say, old lady, it’s not certain who’s really disgracing the Luo family." Luo Linhao snorted with a laugh, "Don’t just throw any dirty allegations on my head, I refuse to accept them. Besides, does the Luo family even look like a noble family anymore? I’ve only been back in the capital a few days, and everywhere I hear that this one from the Luo family went to a brothel, that one went to a gigolo, and then there’s the Second Young Master who slept with somebody’s wife. Listening to this makes me feel sick, aren’t they afraid they’ll get a rash in their pants someday?"
Luo Linhao’s unabashed words made some of the ladies in the Luo family blush with shame.
"You scoundrel, what kind of nonsense are you spouting?"
"So I say a few words, and it’s nonsense? Then what do you call the things those people are doing? Nonsense squared?" Luo Linhao waved his hand, pointing at all the Luo family members.
"You... scoundrel, you have no respect for your elders, no sense of courtesy, no discipline..."
"Enough." Old Mu interrupted Old Madam Luo’s incessant criticism, "I’ll discipline my son myself, just say what you have to say quickly."
"What kind of attitude is this? Don’t forget I’m your mother." Old Madam Luo was so infuriated by this father and son that her liver hurt, neither of them listened, did they even have any awareness of their status as a collateral branch?
Old Mu rolled his eyes at these words, "Are you going to speak or not? If not, I’m going back to rest. You’re not tired hanging around the house all day, but I’m tired."
"How can you talk to Mother like that?" The Eldest harshly rebuked Old Mu.
"Exactly, the older one has no manners, and the younger one has no manners. They come in and don’t even know how to address people." The Eldest’s wife chimed in, she couldn’t stand the arrogance of Luo Linhao and his father, being merely from a collateral branch, what right did they have to be so high and mighty?
As for the second branch of the Luo family, they remained silent; with the first branch confronting, they weren’t foolish enough to step forward.
"Enough!" Luo Linhao’s patience had reached its limit, and he slapped the side of the low table, "Are we going to talk about the main issue or not? Did you call us here just to be criticized by each of you? Sorry, but I’ve no mood to listen to your whining."
As he said this, Luo Linhao was about to stand up and leave, but Old Mu pulled him back down.
Old Madam Luo saw that enough was said, and asked, "I heard Linyu is back in the capital too?"
"Yes," Old Mu nodded slightly.
"Third, this is your fault," Old Madam Luo said, "No matter what, Linyu is a young lady of the Luo family. Yet, you let her grow up outside. You say it’s free and nice outside, I’ve let it go, but now she’s in the capital and not coming home, what does that look like? And she’s not young anymore, it’s time to discuss marriage proposals."
Luo Linhao listened, and instantly perked up with full attention.
