Chapter 1589 - 1591: Another Month Passed_1
Yang Chuxia also said, "Just holding it in the mouth without swallowing, there won’t be any vomiting."
After another half an hour, Yang Chuxia gave him the second dose of medicine.
"Is this the antidote Uncle made?" Lele asked.
"Yes, give it to him for seven consecutive days."
Seven days later
With the last half bowl of medicine fed, Yangyang and Lele looked at Ye Zi’an with anticipation.
After a long while, Yangyang asked impatiently, "Mother, why is there still no reaction from father? Doesn’t he remember his Little Second anymore?"
Yang Chuxia also looked blankly at Ye Zi’an, who still sat there; she didn’t know what was going on either.
In fact, she’d been pondering this very question over the past few days; Brother An hadn’t shown any response even after several days of medication, looking just as he did before, with no change in his complexion.
"Let’s go ask Uncle Shaoling," said Lele thoughtfully. "Uncle should be awake by now, after seven days of eating and sleeping, he has almost become..."a pig.
Before he could finish, Mu Shaoling entered the room and glared at Lele, saying irritably, "You little rascal, daring to compare me to a pig – are you asking for a beating?"
On hearing this, Lele bowed his head and thought to himself, I hadn’t even said it yet; why are you taking it so personal?
"What are you all panicking about? He’s been poisoned for so long, and it’s only just now that the poison has been fully cleared. Next, he needs to take the medicine in combination with the decoction to recover gradually. His internal organs have all been damaged, it will take at least half a year of medication to nourish him. As for his consciousness, talk to him about things he remembers distinctly on a daily basis, and I’ll continue to give him a few acupuncture needles in the head every day. He ought to recover in a month."
Upon hearing this from Mu Shaoling, Yang Chuxia felt relieved. She thought so; if Brother An regained consciousness now and saw his own face, he probably couldn’t accept it himself.
"Ah, it’s still going to take a month?" Yangyang scratched his head in exasperation and ran to Ye Zi’an, saying loudly, "Handsome Dad, you haven’t held your Little Second for a long time. If you don’t wake up, Little Second will consider recognizing someone else as his dad."
"Is there even a need to? You’re already meant to call someone else dad," Mu Shaoling tapped on his little head, the implication clear without words.
"Little brother, we need to be patient. We’ve waited for so long; what’s one more month, right, Mother?"
"Right, Lele is right, let’s wait a bit more," Yang Chuxia nodded in agreement. As long as Brother An could recover, she had no complaints about the length of the wait.
Time passed quickly. In the following days, every morning Mu Shaoling would administer a few acupuncture needles to Ye Zi’an’s scalp, while afterwards, Yang Chuxia and the two little ones would share various interesting stories with him.
Along with a combination of different medicinal soups and some nutritious dietary therapy, Ye Zi’an’s face began to heal.
Soon a month had passed.
Yet Ye Zi’an still hadn’t awakened. Yangyang couldn’t wait any longer and, early in the morning, before Mu Shaoling could come, he ran to knock on Mu Shaoling’s door.
"Uncle, open the door! Uncle, open the door!"
Inside the room, Mu Shaoling was in the middle of a tryst with Commandery Princess Dongyang when he heard the knocking, which immediately gave him a headache.
He pretended not to hear it, but the knocking grew more intense.
In the end, he had no choice but to get up and open the door. "What are you doing? It’s so early in the morning, can’t you let people sleep?"
"Uncle, my Handsome Dad still hasn’t woken up. Why is that?" Yangyang asked, disregarding his attitude.
"All this for that?" Mu Shaoling raised an eyebrow and said annoyed, "Go back and have your mother shake your dad, and he’ll wake up!"
