Mingcui saw that he was being careful, and Yang Jindi was following behind him; thinking back to what he had said earlier, she guessed that he had gotten into a fight. She looked at him with amusement and then took him to change his clothes.

After he had changed and tidied himself up, he then went to see Yang Chuxia.

"Mom! Stepdad"

"Sister! Brother-in-law"

When Yang Chuxia saw the two come in, and Yangyang had changed his clothes, she raised her eyebrows. When she glanced at Yangyang, sure enough, he turned his head away.

"Why have you come over?"

Jindi just smiled and didn’t say anything, but Yangyang quickly made an excuse, "Grandma’s place isn’t fun today; it’s all adults who can’t play with us kids."

"Really? Have all the guests at Grandma’s house left?"

"I don’t know; there were still people there when I came back." Yangyang saw that Yang Chuxia didn’t ask why he had changed his clothes and immediately felt relieved.

But when he turned his head, he saw Ye Zi’an looking at his clothes with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, and the kid wailed in his heart—Stepdad must have noticed something.

"Stepdad, mom, I’m going to go do my homework in the study." In order not to give Stepdad a chance to ask questions, he decided to escape, and on his way out, he even called out to Yang Jindi, "Auntie, I’m going first; you can stay and play here."

It wasn’t until Yang Xiayun arrived in the evening that Yang Chuxia understood what had happened.

"Sis, your Yangyang is quite something, he even set up a fight."

"Auntie, adults shouldn’t lie; it was that kid who challenged me, I just accepted," Yangyang claimed boldly upon realizing he couldn’t keep it a secret any longer.

"Alright, stop sticking out your neck and glaring," Yang Chuxia said, "Although you’re not wrong, you’re not completely right either. You could have made the other person apologize; there was no need to resort to violence. When you could have settled things peacefully, why resort to force?"

"Force makes them remember the lesson," Yangyang countered.

With that one sentence, Yang Chuxia was left speechless. This child’s way of doing things was a complete copy of her own; to change the son’s ways, she would first have to change her own.

"Sis, don’t blame Yangyang too much. I talked to the He Family girl and they weren’t upset," Yang Xiayun spoke up at the right moment. "By the way, sis, I think Big Brother doesn’t like that Miss He."

She had invited people over that day to find a prospective bride for Yang Qingrui, so naturally she paid extra attention to the girls that came.
