Chapter 1020 - 1022
Scrambling up on the soft mattress with his hands and feet, Yangyang snatched the rattle drum from Yang Chuxia’s hands as soon as he reached her.
Then he shook it vigorously to show he was very happy.
"My heavens, you little bandit, now you’re robbing too." She tapped Yangyang’s little nose, and Yangyang took the opportunity to grab her finger to put it in his mouth.
But she couldn’t let that happen, so Yang Chuxia pulled her hand back. Then Yangyang became unhappy, pouting his little cheeks and staring with his eyes while calling out "ah ah."
"What are you ’ahh’ about? You can’t put hands in your mouth, do you know that? How dirty."
Seeing that Yang Chuxia wouldn’t give him her finger, he steeled his heart, stuffed his own finger into his mouth, and even looked at Yang Chuxia with a smile that always seemed to carry a hint of triumph.
"You little rascal, don’t you put your fingers in your mouth, do you hear?" She pulled his hand down, but he quickly put it back in his mouth. After a few rounds, Yang Chuxia said, "If you put it in your mouth again, Mommy is going to spank you, you know?" She pretended to be angry, even raising her hand.
Yangyang looked at her, then at her hand, and took his little finger out of his mouth. Seeing her face still looked unhappy, he crawled over to her again, hands and feet in action.
"Liang..."
His voice was unclear, but Yang Chuxia suddenly sat upright, watching Yangyang with surprise, "Baby, what were you just saying? Can you say it again, please?" Was he calling her ’Mom’? Was it ’Mom’? Was she not hearing things?
However, the little bun didn’t make a sound anymore, sat down in front of her, and laughed as he hugged her arm.
Seeing his little brother playing happily with Mom, Lele didn’t feel lonely. He picked up the book Yang Chuxia had left aside and started flipping through it.
He was also muttering, "Ren... ren..."
At first, Yang Chuxia didn’t notice him as she was busy coaxing Yangyang to talk, but when she turned her head, she saw him reading the book with such concentration that it amused her.
So, she tried to pull the book out of his hand to see his reaction.
When the book reached Yang Chuxia’s hands, she pretended to play with Yangyang while secretly watching Lele’s reaction. That was when she saw her son looking bewilderedly at her.
Noticing her gaze, Lele, following Yangyang’s example, made his way over, one arm hugging her arm and the other reaching to snatch the book from her hand, all the while shouting, "Ren... ren... ren..."
His words were clear and his pronunciation precise, unlike Yangyang’s muffled sounds which made her uncertain if it was even speaking. Yang Chuxia’s eyes widened instantly as she looked at her older son.
"Oh, my dear sweetheart, the baby can really talk now?"
Not paying attention to what she was saying, Lele was just fixated on getting the book, persistently calling out, "Ren ren..." and reaching out his hand.
"Li, Mom, Lele can speak now!"
Earlier, Li’s Mom had gone to the kitchen, saying she would cook some egg soup for Yangyang and Lele. As she brought it in, she heard Yang Chuxia calling her with a face full of surprise.
"Li’s Mom, Lele can speak now!"
Despite her refusal to give the book to Lele, which made him keep calling out for her, Li’s Mom was also startled to hear it.
She then exclaimed in shock, "Good heavens! The young master is so smart. I’ve never seen a child of just over seven months start talking."
"Right? Lele is amazing; he can talk now!" Yang Chuxia kissed her son several times in excitement, leaving Lele completely bewildered. He just wanted the book, that’s all.
After her excitement subsided, Yang Chuxia noticed the hand he kept raising and hurriedly gave him the book, only to see him snatch the book and clutch it to his chest while warily watching her.
