Mu Shaoling was looking at the New Year’s gifts Yang Chuxia had sent him, which included lots of fresh sugarcane and numerous exquisite sugar cubes. Mainly food items, but there were also some coral and pearl jewelry, which gave him the impression that the Ye Family seemed to have a lot of these things.

What was even more surprising was that there were also two baskets of fresh prawns, and these weren’t from lakes but from the sea. It looked like they had been kept fresh on ice, and he heard that wherever the New Year’s gifts were being delivered, people would buy lots of ice to keep them fresh.

Her eyes grew even wider when she glanced at the bundles of sugarcane on the ground.

"How does she have these? Aren’t these only found in our Yunnan?"
