My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot

Chapter 268 - 260: She Cannot Cry

Marshall Lowell’s face went pale with terror.

His eyes were filled with horror, and the muscles all over his body tensed instinctively.

The person before him had silver hair and radiated an apocalyptic, terrifying energy. She was identical to the Super Soldier from forty years ago—the one who had single-handedly destroyed half the elites of the Ten Great Families.

’Could she be...?’

He had no time to think further.

Her figure was already upon him.

He immediately released his grip on Ronan Warner’s neck and retreated backward.

But she was too fast. The Power field of a Great Martial King was completely unable to stop her.

A sharp pain shot through his arm.

She had shattered his defense with a single punch.

Aurora Sinclair’s eyes were bloodshot, filled with an unquenchable fire. Her Power surged like a roaring beast, lunging at him with overwhelming killing intent.

"A Great... A Great Martial King..."

"Die—"

The roar seemed to drain all her strength, veins bulging on her temples and neck.

A tsunami of Power slammed viciously into his chest.

CRACK... The walls surrounding the medicinal garden fractured.

Marshall Lowell was sent flying backward, crashing hard against the wall.

Ronan Warner, clutching his chest, sat by the table. He watched the girl who had completely unleashed her power, all shackles broken, and said mockingly, "Her strength surpassed Master Aerion’s long ago."

Marshall Lowell spat out two mouthfuls of blood. Seeing her fist coming at him again, he immediately scrambled to his feet to dodge.

Even though he was a Basic Great Martial King, he couldn’t see her punches’ trajectory at all.

His thin protective armor had already shattered. Every punch landed solidly, making his internal organs burn as if seared by flames.

He could clearly hear the sound of his own bones breaking, one after another, like an ice bridge cracking apart.

The meridians inside his body felt as though they were being shredded by countless sharp scissors, torn to pieces, and twisted into a tangled mess.

"AHHH—"

"Dawn Miles, don’t kill him!"

The furious fist stopped just above the crown of his head.

"Why—" Aurora Sinclair roared in fury, shattering his last rib with a palm strike.

Marshall Lowell flew through the air like a heap of mangled flesh.

Although Ronan Warner wished him dead, he knew Marshall wasn’t the one behind the incident at the Kaelan Mountains. The timing didn’t add up.

"There’s someone else behind him. That’s the person who killed your master."

Aurora Sinclair’s fists were dripping blood. Her Power skyrocketed once more, and like an emissary from hell, she appeared before Marshall Lowell in an instant, grabbing him by the neck. "Who—"

All the teeth in Marshall Lowell’s mouth had been shattered. He was choking on blood, on the verge of death.

Overcome with rage, Aurora Sinclair pressed several of his major life-preserving acupoints before dragging his body outside.

The gate to the opposite courtyard had been forced open. The yard was a mess, with the Lowell Family’s elites rummaging through everything like bandits.

’Master’s home... our home... destroyed by this pack of animals—’

"Looking for him?"

The icy voice made the Lowell Family members outside the courtyard tremble.

When they saw their own old Family Head, covered in blood and being dragged like a dirty rag by the silver-haired girl, their teeth began to chatter in fear.

"AHH—"

「Elsewhere.」

A modified race car sped like lightning along the winding mountain road.

Inside, Alvin Morgan’s lips were pressed into a tight line, his gaze fixed on the road ahead.

Gunshots echoed intermittently from behind the car.

The Vance and Lowell Families had originally intended to seal off the Sunstone Realm to prevent the Morgan Family from interfering.

They never expected Alvin Morgan to just crash through in a race car.

Although they couldn’t harm the Morgans, they absolutely could not let the Morgan Family ruin their plans.

"Sir, the rear-left tire’s been hit," Benjamin Morgan said with a frown, looking in the rearview mirror.

"Shut up—"

"Sir, there’s a sharp turn up ahead! You have to slow down—"

But Alvin Morgan accelerated again. With a hard turn of the wheel, the car’s body whipped around like a divine dragon’s tail, drifting perfectly through the curve.

Benjamin Morgan’s heart was pounding. For a moment during the turn, he felt as if he’d stopped breathing.

All the blood rushed to his head, and his entire body went rigid, feeling like it wasn’t his own.

It was a long moment before he regained his senses.

’My sir has gone insane!’

Finally—

They reached Sunstone.

Benjamin Morgan’s eyes widened abruptly, staring ahead in disbelief.

Written on the cliff face in blood were two large words:

TRESPASSERS DIE—

Below the words lay a row of Lowell Family members, each one a mangled heap of flesh, in a state worse than death.

Alvin Morgan had seen Aurora Sinclair use this tactic before. His face turned white in an instant.

’She knows...’

"AHH— AHH—"

Heart-wrenching screams seemed to drift from far away.

Alvin Morgan’s heart felt as if it were being twisted by a knife.

He ran quickly toward the summit. At the village entrance, a group of people lay in an open area, where Ronan Warner and Leigh Miles were treating their wounds.

Among them was the scruffy man he had seen before.

When Leigh Miles saw him, her red, swollen eyes filled with tears again. "WAAAH... Morgan..."

Alvin Morgan strode over, gripping Leigh Miles’s shoulders, and asked anxiously, "Where’s Aurora?"

"Senior Sister..." Leigh Miles was sobbing uncontrollably, her voice breaking.

Beside them, Ronan Warner pointed toward the Kaelan Mountains. "She went to the Kaelan Mountains."

Alvin Morgan turned to look. The snowy mountain seemed to be right before his eyes.

"How do I get there?"

"Follow the path behind the mountain..."

Before he could finish, a tremendous BOOM— echoed.

The distant sky looked as if a storm was brewing, the oppressive darkness unsettling to behold.

Thunder rumbled, echoing for a long time.

Suddenly, a powerful wave of energy washed over them from that direction. The snow on the Kaelan Mountains, as if struck by a thermal weapon, split open in a massive fissure at a speed visible to the naked eye. The snow on the mountainside rumbled and avalanched downward again.

Everyone’s expression changed drastically. Alvin Morgan’s body moved faster than his mind, and he sprinted wildly toward the back of the mountain.

"Aurora—"

Someone in a hidden corner shot to their feet and darted toward the summit.

They stared at the distant scene, their eyes filled with disbelief.

A strange light gleamed in their eyes as they muttered, "Veridia actually has a Martial Lord..."

***

The mountain peaks were steep, a vast expanse of white.

It was easy to lose one’s way in the endless snow.

Leigh Miles had forced Alvin Morgan to put on a heavy protective suit.

The Kaelan Mountains are covered in snow year-round, and the temperature is frigid. Anyone whose strength hasn’t reached the level of a Martial Arts Master would surely freeze to death without a protective suit.

Alvin Morgan breathed from an oxygen tank, panting as he struggled up the slope.

「An unknown amount of time passed.」

The sun, which had been hiding behind the clouds, slowly emerged, and the snow on the summit finally stopped falling.

Under the sunlight, the snow-covered ground became even more dazzling, but no one was in the mood to appreciate the view.

Finally—

On a flat area halfway up the mountain, they saw a figure covered in white snow.

The person was kneeling in the snow, rigidly smashing their fist against the icy surface, again and again.

A vivid red color flowed down the ice.

Even from a distance, they could feel the immense grief radiating from her.

Alvin Morgan scrambled and stumbled his way to her side, wrapping his arms around her ice-cold body from behind.

"Aurora... stop hitting it..."

But the person in his arms seemed to have shut off her senses. Her body was as hard as a rock, and her arm continued its repetitive motion, smashing the ice.

"Stop it—"

Alvin Morgan forcefully grabbed her hand and turned her around, only to find two trails of bloody tears streaming down her face.

Her gaze was vacant, the whites of her eyes bloodshot.

"Aurora..."

Alvin Morgan patted her cheek, but Aurora Sinclair was like a doll, showing no reaction.

"Quick, make her eat this," Leigh Miles said, pulling a bottle of medicine from her pocket.

Alvin Morgan quickly took it, shook out a small pill, and forced it into her mouth.

The pill dissolved instantly and took effect quickly.

Aurora Sinclair’s vacant eyes slowly closed, and her body fell backward into Alvin Morgan’s arms.

As Alvin Morgan lifted her, he realized the bloody tears on her face were actually flowing from small cuts she had made under her eyelids with her fingernails.

’She doesn’t know how to cry...’

***

「At the foot of Sunstone.」

The Vance and Lowell Family members stared at the row of barely-living Lowell elites, not daring to approach for a long time.

The words written in blood on the cliff were like a sharp knife that had shattered their courage.

Sunstone was too terrifying!

Far away in Kingsford, the phone dropped from Hugo Lowell’s hand.

He stared ahead, his face a mask of shock.

For this operation, his father had taken most of the Lowell Family’s elites, saying he was going to witness a historic moment for the family.

He never imagined they would be completely annihilated, their martial arts even crippled.

The person on the other end of the line was still speaking, their voice trembling:

"Fam... Family Head... The old Family Head... he’s been crippled..."

"What—" Hugo Lowell shot to his feet.

"The Vance Family has already pulled out and drawn a clear line between us."

Hugo Lowell suppressed his grief, his lips trembling as he shouted, "Bring them back for treatment immediately—"

But the person on the phone’s voice was shaking uncontrollably, as if terrified by something.

"The... the old Family Head is... tied to... the Sunstone monument. They said... they said..."

Hugo Lowell’s heart sank to the abyss. He roared into the phone, "Said what?"

"All members of the Lowell Family... have seven days... to reach Sunstone... or else..."

The voice cut off, followed immediately by a grim voice speaking through the phone:

"Or else the Kingsford Lowell Family... will be exterminated—"
