My Dreams Connect to Ancient Times

Chapter 339 - 16: Ben Bo’Erba Scared to Tears, Immortals of the Four Quarters Gather at Dragon Tiger

’Which one? Which deity?’

And then.

The child, who looked to be seven or eight years old, said with a smile:

"I once held a position in the Celestial Court. The Celestial Emperor bestowed upon me the divine title of Three Altars Meeting Sea God."

Before the Old Celestial Master could react, Ben Bo’Erba stumbled and fell to the ground.

’Who??’

A tempestuous wave crashed through Ben Bo’Erba’s heart. His entire demon mind went blank. ’Three Altars Meeting Sea... Nezha??’

’That Fierce Immortal??’

"I, too, once served in the Celestial Court of Ancient Times." Li Changgeng spoke with a gentle smile. "My divine title is... Venus."

Ben Bo’Erba felt dizzy, and even the Old Celestial Master’s expression changed. He hadn’t heard of the first Immortal, but Venus...

Even with the gaps in today’s history, the name Taibai was known to all. If nothing else, the Taibai Star, which the Federation had only recently begun to colonize, was named after this very being!

A living Immortal from ancient times stood before him. The Celestial Master performed a bow:

"So it is the Taibai Upper Immortal in person..."

Li Changgeng just smiled and said nothing.

At his side, Yang Jian lifted his gaze and spoke, his words brief and to the point:

"Qingyuan Miaodao, Erlang Xiansheng True Monarch."

Ben Bo’Erba’s eyes rolled back in his head, and he nearly fainted. His heart pounded wildly, threatening to leap out of his throat!

’E... Erlang God!!’

’The Erlang God, whose fame is on par with Sun Wukong’s!!’

’Th-th-this... How could these great gods appear in the Current World so soon? It makes no sense, no sense at all...’

Even the Celestial Master’s expression shifted slightly. He bowed again, inwardly shocked. This was another Immortal God whose name was legendary!

The title of Erlang was also passed down in the Current World, and it was widely known!

Lu Xuan patted the Big Black Bull on the head. He didn’t offer an introduction, but simply asked peacefully:

"So, is the Celestial Master at ease now?"

"Of course!" The Old Celestial Master held his bow and sighed. "With such backing, and with Lu Zi’s virtue and integrity, there is no reason we cannot gather the Immortals to forge a pact."

"Good." Lu Xuan nodded. Having accomplished his goal, he immediately turned his gaze to Xiaoyan, a look of worry appearing in his eyes.

Yan Jiangxue was still in a deep sleep, a faint glow shimmering on her skin.

...

「Shengjing.」

Li Yutong and Yan Huang sat facing each other, each drinking their tea.

"Several of the Divination Families predicted a great opportunity would appear at Dragon Tiger Mountain, but I can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong."

Yan Huang took a sip of tea, thought for a moment, and said:

"It is indeed strange, but with that Celestial Master presiding over Dragon Tiger Mountain, there shouldn’t be any major chaos."

As he spoke, he set down his teacup, his expression turning a bit more solemn. "On another note," he added,

"I’ve heard things are far from peaceful on the borders. We’ve observed the Demon Race in the depths of space stirring restlessly. They might be coming to breach our gates soon!"

Li Yutong’s expression also grew serious.

"I’ve been worried about this as well. An external threat is imminent, yet our internal problems remain unresolved. In the Four Extremes—East, South, West, and North—there are at least four Immortals whose purpose and intentions are unknown..."

Before he could finish, the sound of hurried footsteps came from outside the door. A council member pushed the door open and entered, his face deathly pale:

"Speaker, Chairman Yan, there’s a strange development in the four cardinal directions—East, South, West, and North!"

"What?" The two men shot to their feet and asked in unison, "What exactly happened?"

The council member took a deep breath, struggling to calm his racing heart, and quickly explained:

"We don’t know the details yet, but in all of the Four Extremes, brilliant lights are shooting into the sky! Buildings, palaces, and temples have appeared across the heavens, and they’re... they’re moving toward Dragon Tiger Mountain!"

The faces of Li Yutong and Yan Huang changed drastically. They sent out their Divine Thought, which in an instant covered the entire Ancestor Star. They too saw the buildings and palaces that filled the Celestial Vault, traveling through the clouds!

As the two men tried to peer closer, their eyes were seared with pain, and bloody tears streamed down their faces!

"The Immortals... have entered the world!"

「Meanwhile, at Dragon Tiger Mountain.」

Halfway up the mountain, the scene was one of peace and harmony. Representatives from all factions were in discussion, and Daoists had begun to set up for a sacrificial ritual.

Before long, a True Immortal Daoist descended from the sky, his expression solemn.

"Everyone, Dragon Tiger Mountain’s Spring Festival ritual is about to begin. Do you wish to observe the ceremony?"

"Of course," Ao Chengzhong said in a low voice. "But, if I may ask the Daoist, that Demon that just filled the sky, the one that seemed to be from the Ancient Times..."

"I do not know," the True Immortal Daoist replied faintly. "The Celestial Master will have his own judgment. In a short while, the Celestial Master will appear with several honored guests. If you have questions then, you may ask the Celestial Master."

"Honored guests?" someone asked, while more people began whispering amongst themselves.

Ao Chengzhong nodded thoughtfully.

"In that case, please lead us to the site of the ritual, Daoist."

"Please follow me." The True Immortal Daoist nodded and began to lead the way.

The crowd quickly started moving, following behind the True Immortal Daoist in an orderly fashion as they headed up the mountain.

Along the way, Zhang Jifeng glanced to the side and asked curiously:

"Honored guests, what honored guests? Do you know?"

"I just got back myself, how would I know?" Zhang Huatian shrugged. "We’ll just have to wait and see."

Nearby, Wang Zhiyao, sitting in her wheelchair, was lost in thought:

’Among the people who came this time, there are plenty of Earth Immortals and even True Immortals, yet they weren’t deemed ’honored guests’ by Dragon Tiger Mountain and invited to the Celestial Master’s Mansion...’

She paused for a moment, then guessed aloud:

"Could it be that mysterious Existence who was holding the nail rake earlier?"

"That’s possible," said Li Nanguo. "But we’ll find out what’s really going on in a little while, won’t we?"

As they talked, the group soon arrived at a massive, plaza-like area.

In the center of the plaza stood a high platform, a full three thousand meters long and wide. Around the platform, seats for observing the ceremony had been arranged.

Because the plaza was so vast, even with the large number of people from various factions who had come to Dragon Tiger Mountain today, it didn’t seem crowded at all once everyone was seated.

The True Immortals from the various powers sat at the very front, followed by the Earth Immortals, and behind them, the Celestial Humans and some juniors, all in an orderly arrangement.

Wang Zhiyao was pushed to a spot beside Zhang Jifeng. To her left was a young girl with a lovely face.
