Surviving in the Beast World with a System

Chapter 622 - 427: Super Tribe’s Killing Intent (Part 2)

"What if that Wizard Wu Yue mentioned is just tricking us?"

The Snow Tiger Witch scoffed. "I don’t trust some mysterious Wizard. I trust that kid, Wu Yue."

With that, he stood up and patted the dirt off his rear. "Ah, we can finally head back to the tribe. These old bones are about to fall apart."

Grumbling to himself, he ran over to where the Beastmen were to grab some food.

The Flying Eagle Witch stood stunned for a moment before chuckling softly. He looked up at the azure sky, then rose and walked toward his tribesmen.

He nudged a Beastman Warrior, who was sleeping so soundly a bubble of snot was forming at his nostril, with his foot. "Enough sleeping. Get up, eat, and pack your things. We’re preparing to head back."

With the two witches’ approval, everyone grew even more excited, and the whole party sprang into action.

Meanwhile, the Black Wolf Tribe and the Lion Tribe, located in another area, faced the same choice.

But they all came to the same, unanimous decision. It was hard to say whether it was because of their trust in Wu Yue... or their attachment to the lands they had inhabited for centuries.

By the time the four tribes started back, Wu Yue and her party had already returned to their own tribe. However, they were shocked to find that the settlement, which they had expected to be completely deserted, had been occupied by several smaller tribes.

These small tribes normally lived on the outskirts of the Snow Tiger Tribe’s territory. The Snow Tiger Tribe hadn’t concealed its movements when it migrated.

For one, the Super Tribe had yet to arrive; for another, they had hoped to serve as a warning to the small and medium-sized tribes scattered throughout the deep forest.

So, when Wu Yue’s party entered the tribe and saw a crowd of strangers on the clearing where the tribe held its gatherings, she was completely baffled.

"Who... are you?"

The appearance of a female clad in strange Beast Skins and holding a witch’s wand—not to mention the row of tall, strapping Beastman Warriors behind her—plunged the once-lively clearing into an instantaneous silence.

In particular, the sight of their white fur—the signature feature of the Snow Tiger Tribe Beastman Warriors—caused the blood to drain from their faces.

"The Snow Tiger... the Snow Tiger Tribe’s Beastman Warriors are back."

"AHHHH! Run!"

"We’re going to be killed!"

"Amu, Amu... WAHHH!"

The clearing erupted into chaos. Wu Yue watched the scene unfold in silence, then turned to the Beastman Warriors behind her with a teasing smile. "What kind of terrifying Fierce Beasts are you, exactly?"

The Beastman Warriors’ mouths twitched. ’We’re just as confused as you are,’ they thought.

However, the Beastman Warriors showed no mercy to the strangers who had invaded their tribe’s home. They snatched them up one by one as if they were little chicks and threw them to the ground.

Ordinary Pure Humans were no match for the powerful Beastman Warriors. In a matter of moments, the intruders were huddled together like frightened quails, trembling uncontrollably.

"Which tribes are you from?"

When Wu Yue finished speaking, the clearing fell silent, save for the occasional sob from a child.

At her side, Yuan Lang’s deep-set eyes narrowed. A cold smile played on his lips as sharp, deadly claws suddenly shot out from the tips of his long, slender fingers.

With a casual flick, he shattered a boulder the size of two Beastmen. "Thinking it over? Speak."

The huddled group of people shuddered. A moment later, four of the larger-looking males stood up.

"I... I am... the Clan Leader of the Wood Tribe."

"I am the Earth Tribe’s... Clan... Clan Leader."

The next two clan leaders also stated their tribes’ names, one after the other.

Wu Yue had never heard of them, so she looked curiously at a Beastman Warrior beside her.

"They’re all small and medium-sized tribes from the lands surrounding our tribe. They probably came over because they saw we had migrated."

Wu Yue figured as much and decided not to make things difficult for them. "Wait here for now. We’re going to inspect the settlement. If anything is damaged, well..."

She left the rest unsaid, but the vague threat was enough to scare the tribespeople half to death.

One by one, they lowered their heads and began to whimper.

Leaving two Beastman Warriors to stand guard, Wu Yue and the others began to inspect the houses and belongings within the settlement.

To her surprise, other than a layer of dust, the houses showed no signs of having been occupied.

The items in her own house that she hadn’t had time to pack away were also still there.

The Beastmen were much faster. Wu Yue had just finished looking around a few nearby courtyards when they had already regrouped.

"They haven’t been living in the houses."

Indeed. This only puzzled Wu Yue further.

Back in the clearing, Wu Yue looked at one of the Small Tribe Leaders at the front. "Where have you all been living this whole time?"
