Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me

Chapter 574 - 572: He Won’t Treat You Unfairly

Her phone wouldn’t stop ringing. Her emotions were in turmoil. Furious, she picked up the phone and answered, "Who the fuck are you? If you keep harassing me, I’m calling the police!" With that, Jasmine Warren hung up.

The person on the other end had clearly not expected Jasmine Warren’s attitude to be so hostile. He was innocent, however, and called again a moment later.

Jasmine Warren saw the number calling again. As angry as she was, she still answered. This time, learning from the previous attempt, a man’s voice spoke the instant the call connected, "Miss Warren, please don’t hang up! It’s me, Ash! The Baron’s assistant."

Jasmine Warren recognized the name; she knew Ash. Hearing it was him, she pulled the phone from her ear and glanced at the screen. It was still an unfamiliar number. She frowned slightly and asked, puzzled, "Ash, why are you calling me from an unknown number?"

"I have no choice. After The Baron was sent to prison, the police started monitoring me, so I can’t use my own phone to call you."

She frowned, a trace of sadness in her eyes, and her tone grew somber. "Is there a reason you’re calling me?"

"Yes. I just saw The Baron."

"He... did he ask you to call me?" Hearing Ash’s words, Jasmine Warren grew agitated.

"Yes, he did. Miss Warren, I have something important to discuss with you face-to-face. We should meet somewhere."

"Yes, yes, of course. Just tell me where. I’ll head over right away."

"Come to the Elysian Bar. And Miss Warren, be careful on your way. People like us who are close to The Baron... we’re probably already being monitored by the police."

"Okay, I understand. Don’t worry. I’ll put on some makeup before I head out; that should be enough."

"Miss Warren... I’m sorry The Baron dragged you into all this. But don’t you worry. You’ve been with him for so long, and he won’t let you down." With that, the line went dead.

Jasmine Warren stared at the phone in her hand. Replaying Ash’s words in her mind, her tears fell even harder.

’What does he mean, "dragged me into all this"? If he truly didn’t want to involve me, *that* would be what really breaks my heart.’

’Once I, Jasmine Warren, choose to be with someone, I’ll stand by them no matter what—even if they were a murderer.’

’This is the path I’ve chosen. I don’t regret it. I never will.’

「Elysian Bar.」

It was a little past nine at night when Jasmine Warren arrived.

The bar was at its busiest and most lively at this hour.

The moment she stepped inside, she was swallowed by the crowd, making it nearly impossible to find Ash.

She pulled out her phone and sent a text to Ash, letting him know she had arrived.

Less than five minutes after she sent the text, she felt a tap on her shoulder from behind.

She turned and saw a bar waiter, who looked no older than a teenager. "Miss Warren, Mr. Miller is waiting for you in the private room."

"Mr. Miller?" Hearing the name, Jasmine Warren frowned deeply.

’She’d been with Jason Lockwood for so long, but she realized she’d never once asked for Ash’s last name, let alone his full name.’

Nevertheless, she followed the waiter toward the private rooms.

’I’m here to see Ash. He must have sent someone to get me.’
