Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me

Chapter 566: Maybe This Isn’t the Most Perfect Ending (5)

With his mission accomplished, Kiki watched his parents share a kiss. He pouted, held out his hands, and shouted, "Daddy, Mommy, I want a kiss too! I want a kiss too!"

At Kiki’s words, the entire crowd burst into laughter. Blushing, Mika pushed Tristan away. As if nothing had happened, Tristan simply bent down, scooped Kiki up from the floor, and planted a kiss on him. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Satisfied?"

"It’ll do." Kiki tilted his head back in thought, then turned to Mika and said earnestly, "Mommy, your turn for this side."

Mika raised her hands, cupped Kiki’s cheeks, and planted a firm kiss on one. All of her lipstick smudged onto his face. Kiki pouted unhappily, raising a hand to wipe his cheek. "Mommy, you got your spit all over my face."

HAHAHA!!

...

Hearing Kiki’s words and seeing him trying to wipe the lipstick smeared all over his face, the crowd laughed even harder.

Mika pressed her lips together, glancing from Tristan to her son. A wide smile spread across her face, her heart filled to the brim with happiness.

Once that part of the ceremony was over, Tiana came and took Kiki, while Ian Shaw and the others began ushering the guests back to the hotel for the reception.

Just then, Jessica Archer and Silas Kent emerged. Upon seeing Silas, Mika took Tristan’s arm and walked toward him. She hadn’t seen Silas in a long time, but she knew he had helped with her brother’s situation. And regardless of who he did it for, she had to thank him.

’In this life, the person I’ve wronged the most is probably Silas.’

’It’s a debt I’ll never be able to repay...’

Silas Kent watched her walk towards him, his eyes holding an unreadable expression. He forced a smile and said, "Congratulations. You finally married him."

He said the words with a smile, making them sound casual, but no one knew how much emotion he had to suppress just to force them out.

From the moment Mika had called him for help, to the moment he saw her kneeling by the river, about to jump in to save someone... The look of grief and despair in her eyes had shaken him to his core.

’I suppose I’ll never win her heart in this lifetime.’

"Thank you, Silas. I’m sure someone as wonderful as you will find a woman who is a much better match. You’ll find your happiness, I know it."

"Heh, I’m fine as I am." ’Besides, without you, there’s no woman in this world who could ever be a match for me...’

But he didn’t dare say it. He couldn’t. Speaking those words wouldn’t get him a response—it would only burden her with guilt.

He loved her and wanted her to be happy, even if the one who brought her that happiness wasn’t him, but a man he despised.

Tristan saw that most of the guests had already left the church and cut in, "It’s getting late. We should get going, or everyone at the hotel will be wondering where the bride and groom are."

"Okay," Mika nodded with a smile. "Silas, we’ll see you at the hotel, then."

Silas didn’t reply, his eyes dimming slightly. Just as Tristan and Mika were about to walk around him, Silas suddenly reached out and grabbed Mika’s arm. "Wait."

"Hmm?" Mika stopped, her brow furrowing.

"I wasn’t joking when I said I was giving you Sovereign Pictures." As he spoke, Silas raised a hand, and Jessica Archer took a file from her bag. "Here’s your resignation letter. I’m returning it to you. Sovereign is yours. If you quit, who’s going to run the company?"

"Silas, how can I possibly take your company? The shares you gave me before were already more than enough."

"Mika, take it. You deserve this. You earned those shares through your own hard work. You have to remember, Mika, what you’ve done for me all these years is worth far more than any single company."

"Silas..."

Seeing Mika was still about to refuse, Silas quickly looked at Tristan and threatened in a cold voice, "Tristan Grayson, Mika is your boss now. If you dare to bully her, I’ll have her fire you!"

His tone was cold, but anyone who knew him could hear the compromise and defeat behind those words.

Mika’s eyes reddened, and tears welled up, threatening to fall.

"Don’t worry. She’s my wife, and I’ll treat her well. From now on, she’s the only one who gets to bully me." Tristan had never liked Silas, but today, he suddenly found that his usual animosity toward the man was gone.
