Chapter 116: Ange’s date part I
"You really lost weight," Eva commented with surprise as she finished tidying up her king’s hair.
Remembering how he had been just a few months ago, she felt genuinely shocked. His arms and chest were much more muscular now; he still had a bit of fat on his belly, but at this point, it was only a matter of time.
Losing weight had also helped the natural, sharp, and beautiful features of his face stand out even more.
"I wish I were the one going on a date with you looking like that," Eva said, her tone carrying a hint of jealousy. "You look so hot now that I’m finished."
Eva bit her lower lips sexily, her eyes looking at him pleading. She was expecting at least a long kiss, and maybe a quick fuck.
"Don’t even think about that!" Ana barged into the room. "Today, my lord is going to have all eyes on my cousin."
Eva looked annoyed at Ana, but she stepped back. This whole situation was happening, because, just as promised, Shin would go on a date with Ange.
Two days had passed since Minako’s return, and everything was fine again. hin knew the identity of the Sir X his mother believed in so much, and he wasn’t really a threat.
In the end, Shin hadn’t even sent the humiliating video of Minako to her ex-partners, it would’ve drawn too much attention.
Instead, he ordered her to respond more or less normally to anyone who contacted her, while slowly cutting ties with everyone. They wouldn’t be useful anyway.
With everything settled, he was ready for his date.and afterward, hopefully, he could return to studying systems with Kaho, Eva, and Lilel, while continuing his training.
"So, why are you here?" Shin asked, turning to Ana.
"Nothing, I just wanted to see you," Ana said with a bright smile. "And one more thing, I came to bring your ride to the date."
"My ride?" Shin blinked in confusion.
Following his promise, he had left the organization of the date in Ana’s hands. And the little devil wouldn’t tell him anything about her plans, so even an hour before the date, he had no idea where he was going.
Still, apparently Ana had informed Eva, and the queen had been responsible for choosing Shin’s clothes.
Thanks to that, he was wearing a fitted black T-shirt that highlighted his physique, paired with a light jacket, slim jogger pants, and clean sneakers.
Judging by the outfit, he expected nothing too fancy. But coming from Ana, it could very literally be anything.
"Yes, it’s a bike," Ana said, showing a picture of a simple bicycle to Shin. "Your date with Ange will be a bicycle ride."
"Okay... I guess," Shin replied. It was much more normal than he had expected.
"By the way, do you know how to ride a bike, oni-chan?" Yumemi commented out of curiosity, but her eyes were more focused on her cellphone. She was there, because later she, Aiko, Kaho, Eva and Ana would play Tabletop RPG.
"Yes, I haven’t in a very long time, but I used to go to the park with..." He cut himself off mid-sentence, coughing lightly. For a brief second, his expression darkened, but only Eva seemed to notice. "Well, actually, I haven’t ridden much, but I should be okay."
"Then you should be fine. Worst case scenery, Ange can teach you!" Ana spoke happily.
"Still, it seems to come out of nowhere," Shin commented.
"Actualy, It makes sense. Ange loves riding bikes..." Yumemi commented, focused on her gacha game, her expression growing annoyed after the hundredth roll without getting a rare skin.
"She does?" Shin asked.
"Yeah! She even won a local competition, right?" Eva looked at Ana for confirmation.
"Yes, my cousin is great at it. But it was a mountain bike competition, you two will just be riding on normal asphalt... I think..." Ana’s voice didn’t sound very reliable.
"What do you mean ’I think’? Weren’t you the one who planned the whole thing?"
"Yes... kind of. I left some details to Ange, since it’s her date," she brushed it off. "Anyway, you’ll be just fine."
"Okay," he let out a sigh.

For Shin, riding a bicycle felt surprisingly nostalgic.
Leaving Eva’s house behind, he soon reached the bus stop Ana told him to meet up with Ange. He was a few minutes earlier than planned, but Ange had arrived even earlier.
The blonde woman stood beside her bike, one hand resting lightly on the handlebar while the other held her phone.
Ange wore a fitted, short-sleeved athletic top in a deep navy tone that hugged her figure, paired with high-waisted black shorts designed for cycling. A light jacket was tied casually around her waist.
The breeze made her hair shimmer, and Shin felt the words "you’re beautiful" catch in his throat. There was something undeniably cool about her without makeup holding her bike.
Her natural look might not have been flashy, but it gave her a comfy, cute charm.
Noticing Shin staring at her, Ange immediately looked down, feeling embarrassed. She felt less confident without her make up or fancy clothes. She only agreed with that idea, because Ana told her Shin wanted this a lot.
"Do... do I look weird? I’m definitely not very feminine like this..." she said, embarrassed.
"You look beautiful," Shin said directly. "So beautiful I wish I had taken a picture."
"What are you saying?" She grew even more flustered. "You don’t need to compliment me like that. I know I don’t look as good without all the makeup."
"No, I’m being serious, you look great," Shin told her. Then he wrapped his arms around her waist, gently pulling her into a deep, passionate kiss.
After they parted, both of them were breathing softly.
"Do you believe me now?" he asked.
The girl only nodded.
Then Shin’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out, glancing at the screen, Ana had sent him a video.
Knowing the girl, he checked his surroundings to make sure there was no one around before clicking play on the video.
"It’s from Ana," he said, moving so Ange could also watch.
"Hi, you two~!" she waved, her tone overly cheerful. "Since this is your date, Ange, I didn’t interfere much..." She paused dramatically, her grin widening. "But I do have one request."
The camera shifted slightly, and Ana leaned closer.
"You two should have a race. However, a competition without a prize is boring, don’t you think?"
She pointed at the camera like she was giving an order.
"The winner will have the right to give any order to the loser. And to me!"
"Do you want to do it?" Ange asked a bit embarrassed thinking about what she could ask with her order, or about what Shin would ask if he won. "It’s a bit unfair because I have much more experience."
Shin hesitated for a second before asking, "Which direction are we going, anyway?"
"There," Ange said, pointing to the road that led out of the city.
The men analyzed their why and smile. Then he mounted on his bicycle and began riding. And he left, he pointed to a pool not that far away.
"Whoever reaches that pole first wins," he said, already going all out. "Because you have more experience is just far, I get a small advantage, don’t you think?"
Ange smiled as she felt her competitive spirit faring. She knew that the pole was not as close as Shin was thinking so she was confident she could win.
She was so confident, that she took her long and sweet time to get on the bike. Then she began following as fast as she could.

Back at Eva’s house, everyone heard the doorbell ring.
Outside, a funny coincidence had happened, both Aiko and Kaho had arrived at the same time and were waiting in front of the house.
There was a bit of a long wait before Eva came to open the door. Meanwhile, both shy girls glanced at each other, unsure if they should start a conversation.
Kaho wanted to say something. After all, she had agreed to come because she wanted to make more friends. Besides, Aiko looked like a nerd, so it shouldn’t be that hard.
Still... she hesitated.
Aiko, on the other hand, was also there to try making friends. She looked down for a few seconds, but finally decided to speak.
"You must be Kaho, right?" she asked.
"Y..." Kaho failed to respond properly, so instead she just nodded.
Aiko didn’t feel offended. She could tell with a single glance that Kaho was even worse at social interaction than she was.
So instead of backing down, Aiko smiled gently and continued.
"I really like your glasses. They look cute on you."
"Th... thank you," Kaho finally said, her voice so low it was almost impossible to hear.
Then, very slowly, she lifted her eyes and looked at Aiko. Everything about her was cute, so much so that Kaho struggled to find just one thing to compliment.
Noticing how Kaho seemed to be thinking hard about something, Aiko asked,
"What are you thinking so much about?" She smiled and added, "You don’t need to worry so much about what to say to me. You can just tell me what you’re thinking."
"O-Okay... It’s just that you complimented me, and I wanted to compliment you back. But when I looked at you, there were so many things to talk about that I got lost..." Kaho said everything quickly.
This time, Aiko was the one who looked down, embarrassed.
"Th... thank you..." she mumbled.
Kaho, on the other hand, also felt embarrassed because the conversation died after what she said, so she looked down as well.
Both girls kept looking down, but reassured each other with small, cute sounds.
"What is this, a new language?" Eva asked as she opened the door and saw the cute scene.
"Maybe they’re speaking introvert," Yumemi joked.
"Oh! Great, we have everyone!" Ana said happily, approaching the door as well. "You’re all welcome. I’ll be the DM. First, I want to ask, have any of you played D&D before?"
"Never," Eva commented.
"Once, with some guys on the internet. But it got annoying because everyone wanted to make a romantic story with my character," Yumemi said.
"I’ve watched a few games on YouTube," Aiko admitted.
"Well... I... I played by myself a few times..." Kaho commented.
"By yourself? How? And why?" Ana asked.
"I had no one to play with... All I did was write multiple campaigns, and then a few months later, when I forgot most of them, I would choose one at random to play. So I did the dungeon master’s job... and played as the players too..." she explained.
"Okay... I think that makes you my most experienced player," Ana said, unsure whether she should be impressed or laugh at Kaho’s story.
