Chapter 448: Huangfu Lingxuan - Fu Meiyu
Ning Zhiya took a deep breath and explained Sun Weitian’s situation to Sun Yuheng. She explained everything in detail, occasionally glancing at Tang Xiao’s clone, signaling him to leave. She was familiar with her father-in-law’s character, and it would be difficult for him to leave if her father-in-law was already focused on him.
Tang Xiao was able to catch the message behind Ning Zhiya’s glance; he briefly glanced at Sun Yuheng before disappearing into the void, shocking the people of the Sun Clan.
Sun Yuheng didn’t care much about Tang Xiao’s disappearance; his attention was entirely focused on Sun Weitian’s corpse, which was wrapped in spiderwebs.
With staggering steps, Sun Yuheng approached Sun Weitian’s corpse and crouched beside it. However, Ning Zhiya stopped him just as he was about to touch it. "Father-in-law, the poison in my son’s corpse is too strong and deadly, and you will be affected by the poison if you touch it."
"Hmm?" Sun Yuheng looked at Ning Zhiya; his face was deathly pale, and his eyes were a bit dull. "Where did you find your son? Who was the young man just now?"
Ning Zhiya was afraid that Sun Yuheng would think negatively about her relationship with Tang Xiao, and she was also terrified that her father-in-law would attack the Feng Clan.
After thinking, Ning Zhiya decided not to reveal Tang Xiao’s identity and made up a little story for Sun Yuheng. Nevertheless, she recounted to her father-in-law about their initial meeting, and she also told him about the discovery of Sun Weitian’s body.
Sun Yuheng didn’t care about Tang Xiao’s fake identity, and he believed his daughter-in-law would never have an affair with another man. "A poisonous spider killed my grandson?"
"Yes." Ning Zhiya took out a device and showed several things there, including her meeting with Tang Xiao and the time they found Sun Weitian. "You can see everything for yourself, Father-in-law."
Sun Yuheng looked at the images displayed by the device seriously; he took a deep breath when he saw the Emerald Scale Python, which was one of the three overlord beasts in the forest.
Sun Yuheng saw the Emerald Scale Python stop Ning Zhiya when she was about to escape, and he also saw Tang Xiao enter the cave a few moments later, proving that his daughter-in-law was not lying.
Sun Yuheng’s expression turned even sadder when he saw a black and red spider coming out of Sun Weitian’s mouth, but Ning Zhiya killed it when it was trying to run away. He clenched his fists, and tears trickled down from his old eyes. "Ci Xing! I will definitely kill you one day!"
"Old patriarch." Sun Yuheng did not respond to any of his subordinates; his gaze only focused on Sun Weitian’s corpse. "That young man has the space element."
"Mhmm." Sun Yuheng nodded with a low hum. "Go look for my son! We will leave this forest after you find him!"
"Yes." The people from the Sun Clan immediately left the area and scattered to several locations.
Sun Yuheng released a heavy sigh and looked at his daughter-in-law. "Zhiya, I—"
"You don’t need to say anything, Father-in-law." Ning Zhiya could guess what Sun Yuheng wanted to say to her. "I understand the situation, and I will not oppose your decision. Even though my son is dead, I am still the daughter-in-law of the Sun Clan, and I will never forget my duty."
Sun Yuheng nodded slightly. "After they find your husband, we will bring your son’s body back to our clan, and we will give him a proper burial. Speaking of that young man, do you have any more information about him?"
"He’s too introverted, and he always speaks inconspicuously, so I don’t know him very well." Sun Yuheng didn’t know whether he should believe Ning Zhiya about Tang Xiao; he remembered that he had hugged her daughter-in-law before. "I only know that he has a good relationship with the Emerald Scale Python, and that beast previously took us to check out other areas of this forest."
Sun Yuheng was surprised to hear that. "Is his relationship with the Emerald Scale Python really that good?"
"Yes." Ning Zhiya nodded. "If the Emerald Scale Python hadn’t helped us, we definitely wouldn’t have reached this area. The python chose to return to its nest because this area is the Xuanluo Beast’s nest, and it doesn’t want to have any trouble with it."
Sun Yuheng understood that because both beasts were overlords of the forest, and they had their own territories. If one of them trespasses the other’s territory, a fight between them will be inevitable.
They suddenly heard a rustling sound not far from them. They saw Sun Yanzhi walking towards them with a disheveled appearance.
Sun Yanzhi stiffened for a moment when he saw them, but then his expression changed to relief when he saw his wife safe. He had just taken a step; his gaze suddenly fell on his son’s corpse, making his body tremble violently. "Wife, our son—"
"Our son is dead, and Ci Xing is the killer." Ning Zhiya approached her husband, supported Sun Yanzhi, and brought him beside their son’s corpse. "Don’t touch his corpse; it is poisonous, and the poison is too deadly."
Sun Yanzhi fell to his knees, both hands supporting his trembling body. His tears dropped to the ground, accompanied by loud sobs. "Son... My son..."
Ning Zhiya squatted beside her husband, hugged him, and her tears began to fall again.
Sun Yuheng couldn’t help but sigh when he saw them, and he immediately contacted his subordinates, asking them to gather. As for his other subordinates, he couldn’t care less about them, and he only wanted to bring his grandson’s corpse back to the Sun Clan as soon as possible.
Even though it was still the middle of the night, Sun Yuheng asked his subordinates to take care of Sun Weitian’s corpse and led them towards the exit of the forest.
Ning Zhiya became their guide, as Cui Jing previously took her and Tang Xiao through areas without traps. However, she didn’t know the exit, so they had to find it themselves.

From within the void, Tang Xiao watched them with a smile, believing his goal had been achieved. However, he didn’t expect Ning Zhiya to lie to Sun Yuheng, and he believed the Sun Clan wouldn’t target him for Sun Weitian’s death.
[Do you want me to monitor the Sun Clan’s movements, Master?]
"Alright, you can keep an eye on them, Xiao Ai." Although he believed the Sun Clan wouldn’t blame him for Sun Weitian’s death, Tang Xiao couldn’t stop monitoring them. "Since my business here is finished, I will return to the ark to cultivate and train."
[I’ve brought Shangguan Qingyue to the prison, and I asked her to wear a sexy maid uniform, Master.]
Tang Xiao was stunned for a moment; he felt that Xiao Ai was getting weirder. Even though Shangguan Qingyue had become his prisoner, he did not have that kind of thought towards her. He shook his head slightly, left the forest, and entered the ark.

Meanwhile, the fake Shangguan Qingyue and Shangguan Guyuan had arrived at the Shangguan Clan.
One of the clan members informed the fake Shangguan Qingyue that Shangguan Qingyin had ordered her to go to the Song Palace early in the morning.
The fake Shangguan Qingyue said nothing and hurriedly went to her room, thinking of a way to carry out Tang Xiao’s order. Her lips curled up after she got a good idea, but she had to be careful in carrying out her plan.
Shangguan Xinyi suddenly appeared beside her, but she did not notice the strangeness in the fake Shangguan Qingyue. "You are lucky that Shangguan Guyuan stopped you before you entered the territory of the Taixu Kingdom! The situation was dire, yet you were recklessly heading to that kingdom."
"I’m tired after the long journey, so I want to rest now." The fake Shangguan Qingyue said indifferently. "Besides, my aunt ordered me to meet her early in the morning, so you can leave me alone now."
Shangguan Xinyi could only shake her head at the fake Shangguan Qingyue’s behavior. She didn’t say anything else, left the bedroom, and reported the situation to Shangguan Qingyin.
.

.
In her room, Xuanyuan Yueyao listened to Rou Rou’s report regarding the fake Shangguan Qingyue’s return to the Shangguan Clan. She was unconcerned about her, and she suspected that Tang Xiao had done something to her.
After Rou Rou left, Xuanyuan Yueyao walked to the window and looked up at the night sky. "Uncle Huangfu told me that you would be back in a few days, and I look forward to our first meeting, Tang Xiao."

Early in the morning, the fake Shangguan Qingyue went to the Song Palace, and her aunt lashed out at her. Additionally, Shangguan Qingyin forbade her from leaving, and she ordered her trusted people to lock her in one of the rooms.
Since she couldn’t leave, the fake Shangguan Qingyue reported her situation to Tang Xiao, who asked her to follow Shangguan Qingyin’s orders until the situation stabilized.
Fortunately, Shangguan Qingyin was too angry and didn’t notice the strangeness of the fake Shangguan Qingyue.

"What are you doing in my clan this early in the morning, Old Huangfu?" An old woman asked, eyeing Huangfu Lingxuan suspiciously.
"What? Don’t you welcome me, Old Fu Meiyu?" Huangfu Lingxuan asked with a smile. "I came here at someone’s request, and that person shares the same enemy as you."
Fu Meiyu raised an eyebrow. "The Shen Clan, right?"
"That’s right." Huangfu Lingxuan nodded. "Shen Liang tried to kill him because he covets his wife, and he knows that you’ve never liked the Shen Clan, so he wants to work with you to bring down the clan."
"Who is the person you mean?"
