Time passed quickly, and night fell again. Tang Xiao and his group finally arrived at the area where they had met Situ Lingxi three days ago.

Situ Lingxi immediately asked them to stop. "The Emerald Scale Python’s nest is not far from our location, and it might be disturbed if we get too close to its nest."

"How did you know about that, Young Miss Situ?" Shao Jiuling asked.

"Three days ago, that snake lurked at the site of the battle between the other two beasts, and it ate the Azure Wind Wolf after defeating the Purple Thunder Bear." Situ Lingxi looked into the distance, specifically toward the nest of the Emerald Scale Python. "The snake took me to its nest, but it didn’t do anything to me, and I ran away from there until I met Feng Xiao and the others."

Shao Jiuling nodded in understanding. "The Emerald Scale Python is one of the three overlords in this forest, and its cultivation has already reached the peak tyrant level if I’m not mistaken. The other two beasts are the female spider beast and the Xuanluo Beast, but the Xuanluo Beast resides underground in a different forest area."

"The Xuanluo Beast?" Tang Xiao’s eyes lit up.

"Yes," Shao Jiuling nodded. "The Xuanluo Beast’s form is like a large cicada, and its body is no less large than the Emerald Scale Python. However, the beast rarely comes out of the ground except for searching for food, and it is slightly calmer than the python."

"A cicada?" Tang Xiao imagined those cicadas on Earth. "Does that beast really look like a cicada? Why didn’t the Emerald Scale Python attack the Xuanluo Beast? A snake and a cicada should be hostile to each other, right?"

Shao Jiuling shook her head. "Beasts and humans are different, Feng Xiao. Both beasts have the same cultivation, and some beasts are much smarter than humans. They live peacefully in this forest as long as they don’t disturb each other."

"That’s true." Tang Xiao turned to Chen Hongde and Ming Ren. "Let’s set up a campfire! I feel the temperature dropping, and tonight will be colder than the other days."

After saying that, Tang Xiao took out a lot of firewood from his storage ring, surprising Shao Jiuling and the people from the Shao Clan.

"Do you always prepare everything like this?"

Tang Xiao nodded. "Before I joined the sect, I often lived in the forest for days at a time, so I always kept firewood and various other things in my storage ring. After all, I fought with those beasts from morning to night, so I didn’t have time to collect firewood."

Ming Ren was surprised. "What did you use on all that beast meat, Brother Feng?"

"Hmm?" Tang Xiao looked at him. "These are spices from my home domain, and the beast meat will be even more delicious."

"You have to trust Junior Brother Feng, Brother Ming," Chen Hongde spoke. "Xiulan and I have often eaten his grilled meat, and it tastes really delicious."

"Oh." Ming Ren nodded. "We’ll probably spend a few days in this forest before we can find our way out. Your wedding day with Su Xiulan is getting closer, right?"

Chen Hongde sighed. "We should have already returned to our clan to finish our wedding preparations if it weren’t for all the traps in this forest. If we haven’t found a way out by our wedding day, our parents will explain to everyone and postpone our wedding. By the way, when will you marry Shao Yuyan?"

"Haha," Tang Xiao laughed and began roasting all the best meat. "I never dreamed of having multiple wives, and our relationship just happened naturally."

"Oh." Ming Ren didn’t ask further and helped Tang Xiao roast all the beast meat.

"Hmm?" Tang Xiao suddenly frowned as he heard footsteps from a distance, and he immediately opened the map to check the owner of the footsteps. "Oh?"

"Is there something?" Chen Hongde and Ming Ren asked.

"There are three people walking towards us." One of the Shao Clan members shouted in warning.

Chen Hongde and Ming Ren became tense, but Tang Xiao patted their shoulders and asked them to calm down. "Two of them are from the Nine Profound Sect, and the other is from the Song Clan."

Chen Hongde and Ming Ren exchanged glances; they didn’t understand how Tang Xiao knew that.

Chen Hongde was not surprised to see Tantai Lingyan, but Ming Ren had never known about her before, and he could see that she was close to Tang Xiao.
