Chapter 220: Summoned Talk
The moment Jax stepped out of the hidden chamber, he took a deep breath, feeling the fabric of space all around him like an extension of his own will.
The pocket dimension he had created still lingered faintly at the edge of his awareness. A perfectly stable construct. Sealed. Controlled. Alive with a refined, luminous aura.
And at its center was the Divine Luminous Demon Pool pulsed softly, like a heart waiting to empower those worthy of entering it.
Jax exhaled slowly, rolling his shoulders, "...Yeah," he muttered. "That’ll do."
A faint smirk tugged at his lips. Everything was progressing faster than even he had expected. The alliance with the Faeries was secured. The Demon Kingdom was stabilizing and expanding, Xara was already preparing to capitalize on the economic advantages.
And now? He had just created a training ground that could elevate his inner circle to monstrous levels. Things were falling into place perfectly.
And he had Natasha and Alice completely under his control, and he could use them against the remaining heroes in a-lot of ways.
Now, Jax began walking through the palace corridors, his steps unhurried. Servants bowed as he passed while guards straightened instinctively.
Even without releasing any pressure, his presence had changed subtly. He was now more innately tuned with the surrounding environment, and that made his authority more significant.
It was the kind of authority that bent the world without trying. With this new power, he intended to return to the Faerie Realm, as there were still matters to handle there.
Elyndra, the alliance’s early structure.
And of course, Sabrina and Serika.
A faint chuckle escaped him at the thought, "...They’re probably still asleep."
Not for long. He turned down a quieter corridor, already preparing to open a spatial gate back to the Faerie Realm.
His fingers lifted slightly, and then, the entire world around him froze. The air around him completely stilled, and even the mana around Jax ceased its flow, as if it was detached from the world suddenly.
The ambient light dimmed into something distant and unreal, and then, Jax felt a familiar pull, and he decided not to resist, recognizing it instantly and allowing it to take him.
"...So it’s time."
The space around him fractured. Not violently, but like glass gently separating into layers, and in the next instant, the Demon King was was gone.
He arrived in the Divine Realm, boundless light expanding everywhere.
A sky that wasn’t a sky, filled with flowing constellations of divine energy. Floating landmasses drifted in slow, elegant motion, nd at the center of it all, Jax could sense three presences he remembered so well.
Jax stood calmly as the world settled around him, "Still as flashy as ever," he muttered.
A soft, playful laugh echoed through the divine expanse from someone who heard that, "Well~"
Her figure emerged first, alluring curves wrapped in elegance and dark horns curling gracefully from her head, charming crimson eyes filled with amusement and something far deeper.
Lilith stepped forward, her lips curling into a seductive smile, "Is that any way to greet the ones who brought you here?"
Jax smirked, brazenly staring up and down her voluptuous body, much to her amusement, "Depends, you planning to test me again?"
Her eyes gleamed as she heard that and felt his hot gaxe, hugging herself sexily, "Maybe later."
A second presence formed, radiating intelligence and quiet authority. Midnight-blue skin. Silver hair cascading like moonlight. Amethyst eyes that seemed to see through everything.
Sona inclined her head slightly, "It is good to see you, Jax. We have a-lot to discuss," Her voice was smooth and approving
Although it didn’t quite sound like it, Jax had a feeling she was very impressed with what he had done since their last meeting.
Then, a third figure dropped from above.
Literally.
~BANG!~
Landing with a heavy impact that sent a ripple through the divine platform. Tall and powerful, with silver hair that was wild and untamed, alongside golden eyes blazing with intensity and wolf ears twitching slightly.
Skadi grinned, "Tch. Took you long enough."
Jax glanced at her, "You summoned me."
She shrugged, "Still. We have unfinished business,"
For a brief moment after she said that, silence settled, but then, Lilith stepped closer, much closer, too close for anyone else. Her finger traced lightly along his chest and her gaze locked onto his.
"Well now..."
Her voice dropped.
"...look at you."
Jax didn’t move, but his eyes sharpened slightly.
"You’ve changed so much," Sona stepped forward next, studying him carefully. Her expression didn’t shift much, but her eyes flickered with clear interest.
"Your aura has evolved significantly." She paused, staring intently at him before continuing, "It is much more stable and refined, reaching a Divine Level closer to us,"
Skadi crossed her arms, grinning, "He feels stronger."
She tilted her head slightly, "Way stronger."
Jax smirked faintly.
"Glad you noticed."
Lilith stepped back slightly, clasping her hands behind her, "Well then..."
Her smile widened.
"...I suppose we should say it."
Sona nodded once.
Skadi scoffed lightly.
"Yeah, yeah."
Then, all three of them looked at him, and for once, there was no teasing, just acknowledgement as they spoke.
"You’ve done well, Jax."
Sona spoke first, "The Demon Kingdom has stabilized faster than projected. The Heroes have been contained and you’ve taken another one under your control,"
"And now..."
Her gaze sharpened slightly, "You’ve secured an alliance with the Faerie Realm."
Skadi grinned, "That part was interesting."
Lilith’s eyes gleamed, "Very interesting."
She tilted her head slightly.
"The Faeries don’t align themselves easily."
Her smile softened just a fraction.
"And yet..."
"...they chose you."
Jax shrugged.
"They made a good decision."
Skadi barked a laugh.
"Damn right they did."
Sona stepped forward again. This time, a more serious expression on her face, "There is more we need to discuss."
Jax’s smirk didn’t fade, but his eyes sharpened.
"I figured."
Lilith’s expression changed slightly. Still playful, but now layered with intent.
"You’re growing faster than expected."
She walked slowly around him.
"You’ve gained power..."
Her fingers brushed lightly against his arm as she passed.
"...influence..."
She stopped behind him.
"...and attention."
Jax didn’t turn.
"From who?"
Skadi answered immediately.
"Everyone."
He glanced over his shoulder.
She grinned.
"The Divine Goddesses."
"The Heroes."
"Other ancient forces."
Her eyes gleamed.
"You’re not just a player anymore."
Sona finished calmly.
"You are becoming a central figure in the balance of Terra."
Sona spoke again.
"Which means..."
"...you will soon be tested."
Jax’s smirk returned.
"Good."
Lilith laughed softly.
"Oh, we know you’d say that."
She stepped in front of him again, her crimson eyes locking onto his.
"But this won’t be like before."
Her voice dropped.
"Not heroes."
"Not kingdoms."
"Not politics."
A pause.
"Something bigger, Other Gods!"
