Return of Black Lotus system:Taming Cheating Male Leads

Chapter 641 --641

In absolute synchronization, every single head in the doorway whipped around to look at the old Marchioness, who had just arrived at the scene.

The grandmother was leaning casually against the doorframe. She had procured a small handful of roasted sunflower seeds from the banquet tables and was currently cracking them between her teeth, completely and utterly enthralled by the live theater happening in her granddaughter’s bedroom.

Seeing everyone staring at her, the grandmother paused, spat a seed shell into her palm, and smiled cheerfully. "Well, he isn’t lying. I still absolutely despise this piece of trash."

The scholars gasped in unison. The grandmother just confirmed it! The hatred was real, which meant Kavien’s tragic story of forbidden, star-crossed love suddenly made terrifying, absolute sense to the gossip-hungry crowd!

Heena looked at her grandmother in sheer, unadulterated betrayal. ’Whose side are you on?!’

"Are you all completely blind?!" Heena finally exploded, her sociopathic patience snapping into a million pieces.

She reached out, grabbed Samuel by the lapels of his crimson silk robe, and violently pulled the towering, half-dressed genius scholar forward.

"Look at him!" Heena roared, pointing furiously at Kavien on the floor, and then gesturing wildly to Samuel. "What the hell does that crying idiot have that I would ever want?! Look at my husband! He is a terrifying genius! He is devastatingly handsome! He is elegant, beautiful, and can mathematically dismantle a man’s life before breakfast! Why the hell would I ever sneak around with a useless, ugly piece of trash when I have ’this’ sleeping in my bed?!"

The room fell dead silent once again.

On the floor, Kavien’s fake tears instantly stopped, his mouth falling open in genuine, highly offended shock at being called an ugly piece of trash in front of the entire capital.

Beside Heena, Samuel completely froze.

The murderous, unhinged killing intent radiating from the genius scholar instantly evaporated. He looked down at his fiercely defensive, furious wife, who was currently gripping his robes and screaming about how devastatingly handsome and beautiful he was to a crowd of stunned officials.

A slow, incredibly dark, and wildly satisfied smirk spread across Samuel’s face. He casually dropped the broadsword.

"Well," Samuel murmured, his golden eyes gleaming with pure arrogance as he wrapped a possessive arm around Heena’s waist and looked down at the pathetic Kavien. "My wife makes a flawless, undeniable point."

The silence in the room had already been deafening, but Kevin’s next words completely shattered the fabric of reality itself.

Still sitting on the floor, surrounded by elite generals and the most educated scholars in the empire, Kavienlooked up at Heena with absolutely zero shame and shouted his final, desperate argument.

"Because I am bigger!" Kaviendeclared loudly.

The entire universe seemed to pause.

The Vanguard generals’ jaws dropped. The civil scholars looked like they had just been struck by a collective bolt of lightning. What the hell?! No one, absolutely no one in the history of imperial political scandals, had ever expected to get a response like that in the middle of a public confrontation.

Even Heena, the terrifying, brilliant tactician who had flawlessly orchestrated the downfall of entire government ministries, completely blue-screened.

She stared down at him, her brain entirely failing to process the sheer audacity. "What the...?"

Beside her, Samuel was equally stunned.

The towering, lethal genius scholar slowly turned his head to look at Heena. Then, he looked down at the pathetic man on the floor. The deadly, calculating aura that had been radiating from him completely vanished, instantly replaced by an intense, burning wave of pure, unfiltered male insecurity and competitive rage.

Samuel tightened his grip on Heena’s waist, leaning down and glaring at her with golden eyes blazing.

"I am bigger than him, right?" Samuel demanded, his deep voice carrying a terrifyingly serious, threatening edge. "Say it."

Heena slowly turned her head to look at her new husband, absolutely exasperated. "Have you gone completely crazy?! Is this really the time to compare who is bigger?!"

Samuel didn’t blink. His dark, intensely focused expression clearly communicated: Yes. It is absolutely the time.

Hovering near the broken ceiling, the System was completely losing its digital mind, projecting massive censorship bars and sirens. "Warning! Warning! The plot has derailed into mature content! Host, do not answer that question!"

Before Heena could even formulate a response to her unhinged husband, Kaviendecided to dig his grave even deeper.

"And my technique is good!" Kavienshouted, tears still streaming down his face as he desperately tried to sell his value as a secret underground lover.

Heena’s sociopathic patience violently snapped.

"You fucking bastard, have you gone completely crazy?!" Heena roared, her face flushing with sheer, unadulterated rage. She pointed a trembling finger at the door. "Guards! Throw this piece of absolute garbage out into the street!"

"Yes, Madam!" Kael grinned, cracking his knuckles as he and two other massive Vanguard lieutenants stepped forward, fully prepared to physically punt Kavienover the estate walls.

But suddenly, a group of elderly civil scholars aggressively pushed their way to the front, physically blocking the generals from grabbing him.

"Hold on! How can that be allowed?!" the Head Censor shouted, waving his silk sleeves indignantly.

The scholars didn’t care that it was Heena’s wedding day. They didn’t care that she was standing there in her inner bridal robes. They smelled blood in the water, and they were desperate to use this catastrophic nonsense to permanently ruin the Vanguard family’s reputation.

"You cannot just throw this man out like this!" another civil official protested loudly, puffing out his chest. "A serious claim has been made regarding the moral integrity of the Vanguard Madam! You need to give a proper response and take care of this matter according to aristocratic propriety!"

"Propriety?!" Heena shouted, gripping the edge of the vanity table. "A lunatic crashed through my ceiling on my wedding night and started bragging about his technique, and you want me to handle it with propriety?!"

"The law is the law!" the Head Censor insisted stubbornly, his eyes gleaming with malicious joy as the crowd murmured in agreement. "This man claims to be your wronged lover. Until you can definitively prove otherwise, the Vanguard household is under a cloud of deep moral scandal!"

Samuel let out a dark, mocking scoff that immediately cut through the self-righteous clamor of the civil officials.

"Oh, really?" Samuel drawled, his golden eyes sweeping over the Head Censor and the trembling scholars. "Since when does the Imperial Civil Court have jurisdiction over a husband and wife’s personal marital affairs? And secondly, this man has absolutely no proof. Are the esteemed officials of the empire so starved for entertainment that you’ve resorted to handcuffing yourselves to a married couple’s bedroom door just to eavesdrop on baseless gossip?"

The scholars stood completely silent, their mouths opening and closing like suffocating fish.

They had never seen Samuel act like this. In the eyes of the capital, Samuel was a terrifyingly brilliant political mind—a genius who had topped the imperial exams at a young age. But physically? They had always assumed he was just a frail, delicate scholar. A beautiful, useless vase marrying into the Vanguard family for protection.

They were catastrophically wrong.

Samuel turned his back on the sputtering officials and took slow, deliberate steps toward the ruined bed. The deadly aura surrounding him made the remaining roof tiles rattle.
