My husband Can Cultivate

Chapter 710

Shi Heilong had heard that the Qifei Group’s Body Tempering Pill was formidable, so he had sent a large force to seize its formula. But even after half an hour, there was still no sign of them.

"There’s no need to wait. They aren’t coming back," Yang Qi said coldly. "Thunder City is not a place for people like you to run wild."

Shi Heilong glanced at Yang Qi, a strange feeling creeping over him. Despite being a captive, this young man seemed completely unflustered and unafraid.

"What’s your name?" Shi Heilong asked.

"Yang Qi," he replied indifferently.

"Yang Qi? You’re not a direct relative of the Wu Family?" Shi Heilong suddenly flared up.

"You could say that. My mother is Wu Rouman," Yang Qi said.

"A grandson, huh? That works too!" Shi Heilong laughed again. "Still, your grandfather is no good man, is he? To just hand over his own grandson to us like this."

"He certainly isn’t. But you’re no better!" Yang Qi retorted with a laugh.

"You dare to insult me? Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill you?" Shi Heilong was stunned.

"Kill me?" Yang Qi said disdainfully. "You’d need the ability to do that! Do you know why I came with you? It’s simple. I’m going to exterminate the Black Evil Sect!"

"Hahaha! What an arrogant brat! You’re only this bold because you know I won’t kill you right now. But don’t you worry. Once we get to the Black Evil Sect, you won’t even have the strength to cry!" Shi Heilong roared with laughter.

Just then, a car sped toward them. A man, covered in wounds, tumbled out and cried in a panic, "Run, Sect Leader, run! The Star Shining Society is attacking! The brothers... they’re all dead!"

"What!" Shi Heilong’s head snapped toward Yang Qi. The kid’s words had come true. "Who exactly are you?" he demanded, his voice cold and now laced with wariness.

"Who I am doesn’t matter," Yang Qi said calmly. "All you need to know is that the moment we arrive at the Black Evil Sect will be the moment of your doom. Of course, you could always just kill me now."

"So you really do have a death wish! Well, I refuse to grant it," Shi Heilong sneered. "I’m going to make you suffer a fate worse than death! You’re nothing but a sacrifice sent by the Wu Family. Even Wu Heng had to kneel and beg me for mercy, and that old dog Wu wouldn’t dare raise his voice to me. What gives you the right to be so arrogant in my presence?"

"Heh. And what are they to me?" Yang Qi smiled faintly. "In my eyes, they’re just a pair of cowards who prey on the weak and fear the strong. I’d advise you to run. Otherwise, you might not even make it back to the Black Evil Sect."

Shi Heilong clenched his teeth, glancing back in the direction of Thunder City. "One day, I’ll be back! These men will be enough for my training. As soon as I break through to the next Realm, you’re all dead!" With that, he leaped into the car and sped away without another moment’s hesitation.

"So you were scared after all!" Yang Qi teased.

Shi Heilong nearly choked on his rage. This brat is infuriating! Every single word strikes a nerve. It’s maddening!

"This isn’t fear, it’s a strategic retreat! I’ll return for my revenge when I’m better prepared," Shi Heilong retorted. Of course, he could never admit to being scared. He was the Sect Leader of the Black Evil Sect, a man whose very name unsettled the Western Territory. How could he possibly admit to being frightened by the newly-formed Star Shining Society? Even if he was afraid, he would never say it.

"Heh. Admit it or not, what does it have to do with me?" Yang Qi laughed. "But have you considered this? Right now, the leader of the Star Shining Society could be watching your every move."

It was the truth, as Yang Qi himself was watching Shi Heilong’s every reaction.

"Nonsense!" Shi Heilong roared, but he couldn’t stop himself from pulling out a pair of binoculars and scanning the surroundings. He even checked the sky but saw no one. He was on tenterhooks the entire journey.

He didn’t breathe a sigh of relief until they had finally returned to the Black Evil Sect.

"So this is the Black Evil Sect. No wonder no one can ever find you," Yang Qi mused aloud. Before them was a massive sand sailer, which served as the mobile headquarters of the Black Evil Sect. It could move with the desert winds, never staying in one place for long. Many powerful groups had tried to besiege them, only to give up in frustration after being unable to locate their base.

"Brat, you’ve been a thorn in my side this whole trip," Shi Heilong sneered. "But don’t you worry. After tonight, I guarantee you won’t be making a sound! Lock them all up! I need to prepare. Tonight, I shall enjoy these... materials!"

"Yes, Sect Leader!"

Yang Qi and the others were thrown into a makeshift cell. The men from the Wu Family were all trembling with fear, unable to understand where Yang Qi found his courage.

"Let me ask you," Yang Qi said, looking at the men. "Do you hate that old dog Wu? Do you hate Wu Heng?"

"We do!" Facing death, their words were finally honest. They would never have dared to speak this way before, but now they had nothing left to lose.

"Good. I will get you out of here shortly. Once you return to the Wu Family, you are to secretly form an organization and prepare to overthrow that old dog Wu and Wu Heng. I will help you," Yang Qi promised. "Otherwise, you will be trampled underfoot for the rest of your lives. The next time something like this happens, you’ll be the ones sent out as sacrifices again."

Yang Qi infused his voice with the power of his Divine Thought, making his words incredibly persuasive. The ninety-nine young men from the Wu Family’s collateral branches were instantly inspired, shouting with newfound fervor.

Just then, a guard approached the cell. "What’s all the racket!" he bellowed. "Shut your mouths! The next one to make a sound will be the first to die!" The men fell silent, hesitating.

"Oh? You think you’ll be the one to kill us?" Yang Qi chuckled. With a slight flick of his finger, a ball of fire shot out and struck the guard, incinerating him on the spot.

The Wu Family men stared, dumbfounded. He possesses an Immortal Technique like that? He’s unbelievably powerful!

Afterward, Yang Qi manipulated his Golden Silk Thread to snatch the keys and unlock the cell door.

"Stay here and don’t move," Yang Qi instructed. "I’m going to kill Shi Heilong. Then we’ll all leave together." He turned and walked out of the cell.

Having just returned from an expedition, the Martial Artists of the Black Evil Sect were exhausted. Consequently, the guard patrols were light. Crucially, it never occurred to them that a prisoner would dare to cause trouble aboard their own sand sailer, so they had grown complacent.

As Yang Qi emerged from the cell block, he came upon several Black Evil Sect Martial Artists chatting nearby. They were so startled at the sight of him that they failed to even cry out an alarm.

With a gentle flick of his wrist, Yang Qi’s golden threads shot out and sliced through their throats. The men collapsed to the floor without a sound. It was now impossible for them to raise an alarm.

Yang Qi drew out his Immortal Gourd and absorbed their True Qi, converting it into Spiritual Liquid. Then, he continued on his way.
