Chapter 144 - 144: Monthly Sign-In
[Reminder: Monthly Sign-In Available.]
Jacob's eyes lit up. 'Already been another month?' He rubbed his hands together in anticipation. 'System, monthly sign-in.'

1️⃣ Repair Spell Scroll x20: Allows user to learn Repair Spell. Mends broken objects—cracked pots, torn clothing, damaged tools, broken cars, etc.—and makes them as good as new.

2️⃣ Mooncalf Summoning Scroll (The Wizarding World): Summon a herd of 20 Mooncalves. They are shy, gentle, and cute creatures with enormous bulging blue eyes.
- Special Property: Mooncalves produce silvery dung that serves as a highly prized fertilizer. It makes magical herbs and flowers grow exceptionally fast and strong.

3️⃣ Monster Trucks x5: Specialized off-road vehicles with heavy-duty suspension, four-wheel steering, large-displacement V8 engines, and oversized tires.]
Jacob read the list with a satisfied smile. 'Nice. A repair spell. Now I don't have to worry about Malia breaking my stuff.' He glanced at the Mooncalf summoning scroll. 'I bet Allison, Lydia, and Melissa will love those. And I'll ask Cogman to use their dung as fertilizer for the senzu beans.' Then his eyes landed on the monster trucks. 'Malia is going to lose her mind. And with the repair spell, I don't have to worry about her breaking them either.'
He teleported from Melissa's room to his, cast a quick cleaning spell on himself, changed clothes, then teleported to the dining room. All his wives were there, along with Cogman, Kitty, and Saphira.
Jacob smiled at Melissa. "Good, you're still here."
Melissa raised an eyebrow. "Do you need me for something?"
Jacob pulled seven scrolls from his pocket dimension. "I have a new spell to give all of you." He distributed them around the table.
Lydia examined hers with excitement. "What kind of spell is this?"
"A repair spell," Jacob said. "Open it and you'll learn the details."
They all unrolled their scrolls. The parchment dissolved into streams of light that sank into their foreheads. For a moment, everyone sat still, absorbing the knowledge.
Then their eyes opened.
Melissa was the first to move. She threw her arms around Jacob and kissed him. "Thank you! With this, Cogman and I can repair expensive hospital equipment without buying new ones."
The rest of the girls lined up to kiss him as well.
Allison picked up an empty glass and dropped it deliberately. It shattered on the floor. With a wave of her hand, white light enveloped the shards—and the glass reassembled itself, shining like new. She grinned. "Cool."
Cogman nodded approvingly. "Thank you, sir. This spell will be very useful to me."
After a few minutes of playing with their new ability, they returned to breakfast.
Cogman cleared his throat. "By the way, sir, I've finished transferring all the Laurent and Zima assets into our accounts."
Lydia looked up. "How much did those families have?"
"Stanisław Zima had 875 million. Henri Laurent had 645 million. Combined, that's 1.52 billion."
Melissa's eyes widened. "That's a lot of money."
Jacob waved a hand. "Cogman, handle it as usual."
"Of course, sir. Would you like me to transfer some to your personal account?"
Jacob shook his head. "No, I still have over a hundred million in my account, and I barely spend anything." He looked at his wives. "What about you girls?"
Allison shrugged. "We've barely touched the five million you gave us."
Jacob nodded. "Well, if any of you need money, just ask Cogman."
Cogman cleared his throat again, more pointedly this time. "Sir, considering the good news about the billion and a half I just secured for you, I was wondering if you might—"
Jacob cut him off. "No. You're still not allowed to kill for three months."
Cogman let out a frustrated scream. He marched to an empty chair and began attacking it with a series of exaggerated karate moves—not hard enough to destroy it, but enough to vent. The chair tipped over. He righted it, straightened his suit, and returned to refilling coffee cups and juice glasses like nothing had happened.
Jacob and the others ignored him. They were used to his crazy behavior by now.
Melissa finished her breakfast and stood. "Alright, I'll see you guys later. Cogman, let's go." She kissed Jacob and teleported out of Serendell. Cogman bowed to the others and teleported after her.
---
After breakfast, Jacob scooped Saphira into his arms. "Let's go, girls. I still have something you're going to love."
He wrapped everyone in his telekinesis and teleported them away from the palace.
They landed in an open area. Jacob closed his eyes, focusing on his connection to Serendell. The ground shifted and reshaped itself—flattening into a dirt track, then rising into ramps of all sizes. Some were low and easy; others were steep and dangerous.
When he finished, he waved his hand. Five massive monster trucks materialized in a row.
Malia's jaw dropped. Her eyes went wide, then sparkled with joy. "WOW! They're so beautiful! I love them!"
Jacob smiled. "You can choose whichever one you want."
She looked at him. "Really?!"
He nodded.
Malia spun to face the trucks. They were all stunning—custom paint jobs, aggressive tires, each one a beast in its own right. She pointed at the blue one that looked like a shark. "I want the blue shark one!" Then she saw the red one with flames. "No, no, I want the red one!" Then the orange one caught her eye. "Wait, wait, I want the orange one!" She clutched her head. "Aaahhh! They're all gorgeous! This is so hard!"
Jacob chuckled and looked at Lydia and Allison. "What about you girls? Do you want one?"
Allison shook her head. "Nah. I might try driving one someday, but I don't want one for myself."
Lydia made a face. "Those cars are ugly. I don't want one."
Malia, Jacob, and Kitty all turned to stare at her, deeply offended.
In perfect unison, they said, "Take that back! They are not ugly!"
Lydia raised her hands in surrender. "Okay, okay! You don't have to yell at me. They're not ugly."
Malia ran to the trucks and began stroking their massive tires. "Don't listen to stupid Lydia," she cooed. "You are beautiful. Yes, you are."
Kitty walked over to Jacob. "Jay, can I have one? I'll ask Cogman to modify it so I can drive it."
Jacob nodded. "Sure." He looked at Malia. "Malia, the black one is mine. Give Kitty one, and the other three are yours."
Malia ran back and threw her arms around him, kissing him deeply. "I love you so much!" Then she sprinted back to the trucks.
Jacob smiled. "Love you too."
Malia climbed into the blue Megalodon monster truck, with Kitty jumping in beside her. Moments later, the engine roared to life, and Malia tore across the dirt track—jumping ramps, kicking up dust, driving with reckless abandon.
They watched for a while.
Allison tilted her head. "She's a terrible driver, but she seems to be doing fine out here."
Jacob nodded. "She never had a problem with driving itself. What she hates is following the rules. And parking. She sucks at parking."
Lydia sighed. "Now she'll never learn to drive properly."
Jacob said, "Don't worry. She'll learn eventually. And she'll get her license." He turned to them with a grin. "Now, let me show you something you two will love."
He settled Saphira on his shoulder, hugged both girls, and teleported.
They reappeared near a small forest with gentle, rocky hills, not far from the palace. Jacob pulled out a scroll.
"This is a summoning scroll," he explained. "It'll bring some cute animals from the Harry Potter world."
Allison's eyes lit up. "What kind of animals?"
"Let me show you."
Jacob unrolled the scroll and tossed it into the air. It ignited with a brilliant glow, and the space before them split open. A blinding flash of light forced them all to close their eyes and step back.
Then they heard it—soft, curious cooing sounds.
When the light faded, they opened their eyes.
Before them stood a herd of twenty Mooncalves. They were adorable, gentle creatures with enormous blue eyes. Adults and young ones mingled together, blinking curiously.
Both Allison and Lydia screamed with excitement. "Aaahhh! They're so cute!"
The Mooncalves startled and huddled together nervously.
Jacob held up a hand. "Girls, don't shout. They're very shy." He lowered his voice. "They are called Mooncalves, they produce silvery dung that's a highly prized fertilizer. It makes magical herbs and flowers grow incredibly fast and strong."
Allison and Lydia exchanged gleeful glances, then approached slowly. They knelt and began patting the creatures gently.
Allison scooped a tiny one into her hands. Her voice went high-pitched and sing-song. "You guys are so cute! I don't know why I'm talking like this, but you're just so cute!"
Lydia held another little Mooncalf, cooing at it. "I've never seen anything this cute before."
Saphira, perched on Jacob's shoulder, let out a dissatisfied chirp.
Lydia looked up quickly. "Except you, of course. You're a beautiful, majestic creature who's going to grow up to be very strong. That's why I don't call you cute—you're my favorite."
Saphira's little chest puffed up with pride. Then she turned back to watch the Mooncalves curiously.
Allison looked at Jacob. "Jay, what do they eat?"
"Carrots, lettuce, cabbage, sweet fruits—or just fresh grass."
Allison beamed. "Then I'm going to bring you guys all kinds of fruits every day!"
Lydia nodded. "Me too!"
Jacob pulled out some fruits from his daily reward stash and handed them to the girls. Together, they fed the Mooncalves, laughing as the creatures nibbled gently from their palms.
---
Two hours later, Allison reluctantly stood. "Alright, you cuties. Get used to your new home. We have to go to school now."
Lydia sighed. "What about Malia?"
Allison waved a hand. "She's probably still playing with her trucks. She's definitely not coming to school today. Just let her be."
Jacob kissed them both. "I'll take Saphira to Malia and Kitty. See you at school."
He teleported back to the dirt track, where Malia was still joyriding with Kitty. He left Saphira with them, then teleported out of Serendell.
He appeared in the mansion's garage, glanced at his two bikes, and chose the Harley. Moments later, he was riding toward school.
---
After parking his bike, Jacob entered the school and found Stiles, Scott, Erica, and Tracy standing with Isaac and Boyd. He greeted them with a nod. "Morning, guys."
Erica smiled. "Morning. Where are Allison and the others?"
Jacob said, "They should be here soon." He glanced at Boyd and Isaac, who were eyeing him nervously. "Stop looking at me like that. I won't harm you."
Stiles chimed in. "Yeah, as long as you don't stare at Allison and his other girls, you're safe."
Jacob turned to Stiles. "So, what are you guys talking about?"
Stiles sighed in frustration. "They're talking about Jackson."
"You don't seem to like that very much."
"I don't," Stiles admitted. "Scott wants to save him. Isaac and Boyd want to kill him because Derek told them they should. They've been bickering since we got here." He threw his hands up. "And I don't care about stupid Jackson."
Jacob slung an arm over Stiles's shoulder. "Malia, Kitty, and I were planning to go see 21 Jump Street movie tonight. Want to join us? Bring Erica."
Stiles's face lit up. "Yes! I saw the trailer—it looks hilarious." He glanced at Erica. "What do you think, babe?"
Erica grinned. "Sure. I'll go with you guys."
Jacob nodded. "Great. Let's go after school."
Just then, Coach appeared behind them and wrapped his arms around Jacob and Stiles's shoulders. "Jacob. Stiles. I discovered your little detention secret." He smirked. "And I think a room like that shouldn't exist in a school."
Jacob raised an eyebrow. "What? Who snitched?"
Coach pointed to Principal Thomas, who was watching from a short distance away. "Him."
Jacob, Stiles, and Coach walked over to the principal. Jacob crossed his arms. "Come on, man. Why'd you tell this idiot about our gaming room?"
Principal Thomas looked uncomfortable. "Sorry. He caught me last week playing while you kids were in Houston on vacation. The vacation I approved, by the way."
Jacob turned back to Coach. "What do you want?"
Coach's smirk softened into something almost pleading. "I heard you're rich and donated some money to the school. So I was hoping you could donate to the lacrosse team. We need new gear, training equipment, new jerseys." He lowered his voice. "And I promise I won't bother you about the gaming room. I'll even send you and Stiles to detention whenever you want. You just have to be present during tests."
Jacob thought for a moment, then smirked. "I don't like being blackmailed. So you can go ahead and do whatever you want about the gaming room. I don't care."
Coach's bravado crumbled. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry, alright? I just really need a donation. Some of my players are good—really good—but they can't afford gear. Please. Can you help?"
Jacob's smirk softened into a genuine smile. He threw an arm around Coach's shoulder. "Fine. But I want to be Assistant Head Coach. So we can both bully the players—especially the teams from other schools."
Coach's eyes widened. "No. Absolutely not. I still remember the only time you played. You almost gave me a brain aneurysm." He looked desperately at Stiles. "I don't know this idiot well, but you're his friend. You don't really want him as Assistant Head Coach, do you?"
Stiles considered it. "As fun as that would be? No. I don't want that. And I'm pretty sure Scott doesn't either."
Coach smiled hopefully. "Then help me convince him to donate without becoming my assistant. Otherwise, I'll have no choice but to accept his offer."
Stiles turned to Jacob. "Come on, man. You hate lacrosse. Don't ruin it for us."
Jacob laughed. "Fine. I was just messing with him." He looked at Coach. "How much do you need?"
Coach blinked, surprised. "Thirty thousand? If that's too much, fifteen will do."
Jacob waved a hand. "I'll tell my butler to donate a hundred thousand to the lacrosse team tomorrow. Just promise me you'll take care of the players with difficult situations at home."
Coach's face split into a massive grin. He pumped his fist. "Yes! Thank you!" He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "I promise. I'll help those poor bastards however I can." Then his voice shifted back to its usual gruff tone. "Now what are you two idiots still doing here? Go to class!"
Jacob and Stiles grinned and headed toward their classroom.
As they walked, Stiles shook his head. "I'm surprised you gave him the money without asking for anything. Even after he tried to blackmail you."
Jacob smiled. "He meant well. And he's my favorite teacher." His expression grew distant for a moment. "Besides, I was poor when I was in the orphanage back in New York. I know what it's like to want something and not have the money for it. And I know he'll keep his promise. He won't take that money for himself."
To be continued… 😊
