The terrordactyl’s name is half-mystery, half smack-you-in-the-face obvious. The ‘terror’ component at least is well deserved, as these scaled flying beasts possess a brutal sonic attack that can strike fear into the hearts of even experienced fighters. On the other hand, I’ve never met anyone with a fucking clue what a ‘dactyl’ is.
Regardless, the terrordactyl is an example of a typical flying monster with a single notable Skill. They are categorized as a low-density threat due to their considerable wingspan and inability to ‘hover’ while attacking.
The preferred attacks of these flying reptiles are the ‘rake’ or ‘punch’. Among the most common types of attacks among flyers, these maneuvers involve a high-speed flyby while either ripping or striking with the clawed feet.
Terrordactyls are far from helpless when grounded, but they are rarely observed fighting on their feet willingly.
