Chapter 486: Gathering People
Just then, Lin Kuang sensed that Liu Shilin and the others had returned by car, and his body jolted involuntarily.
Could the Nameless Old Man have left because he sensed Shilin and the others returning? Or was it just a coincidence?
Looking out the main door, Lin Kuang muttered to himself, his eyes filled with disbelief.
If my guess is true, just how powerful is this Nameless Old Man?
While Lin Kuang was lost in thought, the cars carrying Liu Shilin and the other women pulled up. They got out one by one and walked into the villa. Seeing them, Lin Kuang pushed the matter of the Nameless Old Man to the back of his mind.
Getting up from the sofa, Lin Kuang greeted them with a wide grin. "Hey, my beautiful wives, you’re back!"
Upon hearing this, Liu Shilin, the Witch, and Yang Ruoxi blushed and shot Lin Kuang a sharp glare from their beautiful eyes. As for Lin Guo’er, she didn’t care at all, and Yang Ruotong, being more experienced, didn’t take it too seriously either.
"Ahem, don’t tempt me like that," Lin Kuang said with a smirk. "I might lose control."
"Shameless! Who’s tempting you?" the Witch retorted, her face flushing red.
"Huh? I wasn’t talking about you," Lin Kuang shrugged and asked curiously. "Don’t tell me you’re jealous?"
Hearing Lin Kuang’s teasing, the Witch’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. Annoyed, she shot him a fierce glare before turning and stomping upstairs, deciding to ignore the scoundrel.
"Serves you right for being so smug. You’ve made Shiyu mad, and now she’s run off. I bet she won’t be staying with you tonight," Lin Guo’er said with a grin, turning to walk upstairs with a sway in her hips.
The other women also went upstairs to change their clothes.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but smile. He felt wonderful. With so many beauties by his side, he could die without any regrets.
「Meanwhile, in a sprawling manor.」
Heno Sumio was polishing the katana in his hands. The blade glinted under the light, exuding a chilling aura. It was clearly no ordinary katana, but a famous blade.
"Mr. Heno," a man in a black suit said respectfully as he entered the room, "we’ve gathered information on Lin Kuang in East Sea, but we haven’t determined his true identity yet."
Heno Sumio spoke without looking up from his blade. "Mm. Tell me about this Lin Kuang."
"Yes, Mr. Heno. On the surface, Lin Kuang is an employee at Yashi Company. Secretly, however, he is a terrifying figure who seems to have ties to the Eagle Sect, East Sea’s top underground power. He also has several women. Two are the daughters of Yang Wucheng from the East Sea Military Region, while the rest are daughters of influential business leaders in East Sea."
The man from the Island Country relayed what he knew, including the identities of Liu Shilin and the others. He also meticulously detailed Lin Kuang’s activities in East Sea and with the East Sea Military Region. Of course, his account wasn’t completely comprehensive, but it was mostly accurate.
After listening, Heno Sumio finished polishing his blade, folded the cloth neatly, and slid the katana smoothly into its sheath.
"So, this is what the Chinese call a ’kept man’?" Heno Sumio said dismissively.
"Perhaps not, sir. In China, the term ’kept man’ refers to someone who does nothing and lives entirely off women. The things Lin Kuang does, however, are all significant," the subordinate from the Island Country explained.
"I see. So that’s what it means," Heno Sumio said. "Do you know where he lives?"
"Yes, sir, I do." The man from the Island Country promptly recited Lin Kuang’s address.
"Good. Take some men and eliminate him tonight," Heno Sumio ordered calmly, as if killing Lin Kuang were a trivial matter.
"Wha— Mr. Heno, are you sure? He’s the one who captured Inoue Kenta and Kubo Takumi alive! Sir, we should be cautious," the subordinate from the Island Country hurriedly cautioned him.
Heno Sumio’s icy gaze fell upon the man. The subordinate flinched, his body trembling so violently he almost collapsed to his knees.
"Are you implying I am weaker than those two?" Heno Sumio asked, his voice like ice.
"No, no! Of course not, Mr. Heno!" the subordinate stammered, cold sweat beading on his forehead. "You are their Senior Brother. Your power is nearly on par with your master, Mr. Miura Ken himself. How could you possibly be no match for Inoue Kenta and Kubo Takumi? I only meant that we should be cautious. None of us wish for you to take any risks."
Heno Sumio snorted. "You will lead a group there first. Give him a taste of bullets. Afterward, I will arrive with the ninja. That Lin Kuang is as good as dead," he stated confidently, as if he could crush Lin Kuang at any moment.
The subordinate could only nod and retreat respectfully. He was deeply reluctant, but Heno Sumio was the leader, and his orders had to be obeyed.
Once his men were assembled, Heno Sumio emerged from the room, katana in hand.
"We move at eleven o’clock sharp tonight," Heno Sumio announced to the assembled men.
"Sir!" the men from the Island Country replied in unison. Heno Sumio turned and walked back into the manor.
As soon as Heno Sumio made his decision, the information somehow reached Chen Feng of the Wumi Building. Chen Feng immediately dialed Lin Kuang’s number.
At that moment, Lin Kuang had just finished dinner and was stuck with the unpleasant task of washing dishes in the kitchen when his phone rang.
Lin Kuang wiped the water from his hands, pulled out his phone, and saw it was a call from Chen Feng. He quickly answered, "Hello, Mr. Chen."
"Hello, King of the Underworld. Heno Sumio has assembled his men. They plan to move against you tonight, so please be careful," Chen Feng said.
"Oh? Moving so soon? Those guys are really in a hurry," Lin Kuang remarked. "Where are they now?"
Chen Feng promptly relayed Heno Sumio’s current location to Lin Kuang.
Having taken note of the information, Lin Kuang then asked with curiosity, "Mr. Chen, why give me this warning? This doesn’t seem to be part of the Wumi Building’s usual services, does it?"
"King of the Underworld, this decision came from the upper echelons of the Wumi Building. I do not know the reason myself," Chen Feng admitted, sounding a bit awkward. In truth, it wasn’t just Lin Kuang who was curious; Chen Feng himself wondered why the Wumi Building would take such a step. Was it simply because of the two favors Lin Kuang was owed? That seemed highly unlikely.
