Chapter 302: Fountain of Eden [ 11 ]
Several minutes passed like that, and although my body hurt like crazy... the pain was starting to fade.
Thankfully, no one was here to witness this. Or at least, no one was here in front of me. I didn’t care much if they spied on me from the side.
If anything, spying on me from the side just assured me that not all Titans were friendly. For all I knew, I would need to get into a catfight the moment I recovered.
Still, after taking a single deep breath, I felt the pain leave my body as I was met with an overwhelmingly comfortable sensation.
I had no idea how to explain it. It was as if all of my bones had perfectly assimilated with the rest of my body, and I felt like, with a single thought, I could move any part of my body at will.
Not to mention, without even doing anything, I felt like my bones had gotten at least several times denser. Upon closer look, I realized that my bones had actually become 10 times denser.
Same went with my muscles, as they became more compact. The downside of that was that I now looked skinny as opposed to my fit, muscular build before.
Though, muscular or not, there was one thing I was curious about.
And that was this.

Well, that’s definitely unexpected.
I knew I had gotten stronger, but... I jumped up to Grade 75? Really? All I did was unlock some of my Divine Energy, and now I’m on the level of a Demon King.
Obviously, strength-wise, I was as strong as a Demon Emperor, but that was definitely due to the Traits I had. Speaking of my Traits, I felt like if I wanted to get the upper hand against my enemies, I needed to put a bit more focus on my Traits.
Divine Energy Manipulation and The Divine Beast’s Physique tend to go up passively. In a way, Dragon Heart was the same. But the Dragon Heart... it had so much potential, potential I had no idea how to fully use.
And as for the Demon King of Wrath’s Blood, I had no idea what else I could use it for. I pretty much sucked up all of its usage by combining my Gifts. It did grant more strength the faster my heart rate was, so maybe I could try playing around with artificially elevating my heartbeat?
There were definitely a lot of tricks I wanted to try out, but sadly, I felt too much pressure to take a vacation to train.
Right as I was in the middle of my lost thoughts, I suddenly felt a shiver down my spine, and when I glanced down, I spotted the finger from earlier moving around, twitching restlessly as it inched ever so closer to me.
I wanted to back away, but I also knew that this finger was useful to me. So with that in mind, I crouched down and grasped the finger.
To my genuine surprise, I immediately felt a jolt of electricity shoot through my entire body, almost like the finger reacted to my very being.
And it kind of did, as before I could react, the finger tore through my palm, entered my chest, and then went straight to the Mind Realm.
For a moment, I just stared at the injury that the finger inflicted, and from the looks of things, it wasn’t really healing. When I looked closer, there was a black flame eating away at my flesh. It was a very slow process at first, but it seemed like, with every passing moment, the spread of the black flames increased.
And noticing that there was no other option other than to cut off my whole arm, I did just that. My arm regrew in an instant, and as for the arm on the floor, it had turned to dust.
Once there was nothing left, the flames finally extinguished. Though I knew that I didn’t want those flames to be anywhere near me. Sadly though... they were now inside me.
Letting out a sigh, I went ahead and entered my Mind Realm, not expecting anything great. But to my genuine surprise, the finger, as well as the black flames, were nowhere to be seen.
At first, I thought something had gone wrong, and then I realized the finger might’ve entered the Divine Energy Realm. Yet even when I looked inside there, I couldn’t find anything.
"..."
Could it be some sort of new Gift?
I checked it out, and there was nothing.
Then, I even went ahead and did a thorough check of every cell in my body, but even then, there was nothing.
I wanted to keep searching, but soon enough, the hairs at the back of my neck stood on end, alerting me to the presence of someone approaching me, leaving me no choice but to leave my Mind Realm for the time being and address the presence.
I opened my eyes, and I was immediately met with the very stingy and annoying face of some kind of doctor who only had one eye.
And as it so happens, he wasn’t a Titan.
