The morning in Hundred Flowers Valley was graced with blue skies, white clouds, and shady green trees. The air was fresh—truly a utopian Sacred Land.

However, the atmosphere inside Medicine King Valley was utterly oppressive.

"Linglong, what happened?" Jiang Yuan asked, his face cold.

In front of him stood five masters above the War God realm, including Jiang Linglong. Beside them were eleven lifeless bodies sprawled on the ground. The people of Medicine King Valley gathered around, their faces grim as they waited for Jiang Linglong to answer.

"Last night, we launched a surprise attack on the Long Family Manor, but to our surprise, the Long Family was already prepared..." Jiang Linglong recounted the entire incident in detail. As she finished, anger appeared on the faces of everyone in Medicine King Valley.

"The Long Family is dead set on making an enemy of our Medicine King Valley," Jiang Yuan said, his voice filled with chilling killing intent.

The leader of the neutral faction in Medicine King Valley nodded. "Ever since Long Tianba succeeded as the Long Family Clan Leader, he has stopped obeying Medicine King Valley’s orders. For decades, he’s been secretly instigating conflict between the Long Family and Medicine King Valley to test our limits. He has also been cultivating his own masters of the Medicine Path, harboring the ambition to replace us. Now, he can no longer hold back and has finally decided to turn on us."

The Long Tianba they spoke of was the Dragon Lord’s name.

"I went to the Long Family’s estate yesterday, but it was already deserted," the faction leader continued. "I believe the Long Family has completely betrayed Medicine King Valley and relocated the entire clan to Guoyang."

The Valley Master pondered for a moment before saying with a cold expression, "Since the Long Family wishes to be our enemy, Jiang Yuan, lead your top masters to Guoyang. Eliminate Long Tianba and support a compliant member of the Long Family to take his place as Clan Leader."

"That is precisely my intention," Jiang Yuan nodded.

「Long Family Manor!」

In a small cabin next to the pigpen, Long Yifei lay wrapped in bandages, resembling a mummy.

"Young Master Fei, are you feeling any better?" Xing Ming asked as he walked in.

"Much better!" Long Yifei responded in a muffled voice.

"It seems Ye Liangchen’s medicine really works," Xing Ming said with a sigh of relief. "Everyone sent me to ask what we should have for breakfast."

Of the 488 people currently in the Long Family Manor, only Ye Xiu and Long Yifei had money. Long Yifei was in charge of their finances because he was their designated leader.

"The money is under my bed," Long Yifei said, his voice muffled. "Take some and buy rice, flour, vegetables, meat, and some oil and seasonings."

"Alright!" Xing Ming squatted down to look under the bed but paused. "There’s nothing here."

"That’s impossible," Long Yifei insisted. "My great-grandfather gave me three million, plus one hundred pounds of gold. I put it all under the bed."

"It’s really not here," Xing Ming repeated.

"Impossible..." Still in disbelief, Long Yifei endured the intense pain racking his body and rolled to the edge of the bed to look underneath.

He was stunned. "Where’s the money? The gold?"

A sudden thought struck him: Could the money and gold have been stolen by the black-clothed, masked men who attacked last night?

Xing Ming grew anxious. "Without money, how will so many of us eat or drink?"

Long Yifei’s composure completely shattered. The Dragon Lord had assigned him to lead Ye Liangchen and 487 members of the thirteen external families against Ye Xiu, and he was also responsible for their food and lodging. How could he, the leader, have lost all the money on the first day?

"There are plenty of pigs, horses, cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, and geese in the livestock pens, and lots of fresh vegetables in the garden. That should be enough to last us for a while," Long Yifei said after a moment of thought.

"Should I inform Ye Liangchen?" Xing Ming asked.

At the mention of Ye Liangchen’s name, Long Yifei grew so enraged that blood seeped from the corners of his mouth, staining his bandages red. "What we eat is none of his damn business," he growled.

"But the Sixth Master has already given the Long Family Manor to Ye Liangchen," Xing Ming reminded him. "Everything in the manor belongs to him. He won’t allow us to take anything without his permission."

Long Yifei snorted coldly. "Let him dare to disapprove. You just go ahead. If Ye Liangchen tries to stop you or says a single word you don’t like, take the opportunity to give him a beating. Let him know who calls the shots here in the Long Family Manor."

"I understand."

Xing Ming immediately left, planning to gather people to butcher some animals. However, just as he stepped out of Long Yifei’s cabin, he saw five large trucks entering the manor and heading straight for the livestock area. The dilapidated trucks rattled loudly as they approached, looking as if they might fall apart at any moment.

The members of the thirteen external families, still jumpy from the previous night’s raid, rushed out at the commotion. They were nearly suffocated by the stench from the trucks, which were used for transporting livestock and were covered in uncleaned dung.

"Who are you people?" Xing Ming asked as the trucks came to a stop.

Before anyone could get out to answer, Ye Xiu approached with his sword in hand. "They are here at my request," he announced. "I plan to sell all the livestock and vegetables in the Long Family Manor."

"What?" Xing Ming was furious. If all the livestock and vegetables were sold, what would the four hundred-plus people here eat? The north wind?

He immediately refused. "I disagree."

Ye Xiu chuckled. "Xing Ming, did a nurse drop you on your head when you were born? The Long Family Manor is mine. If I want to sell my own property, what right do you have to interfere?"

"How dare you insult me?" Xing Ming roared, his voice turning cold. "When I say I disagree, I disagree. Ye Liangchen, I’m warning you. If you dare to sell the livestock and vegetables today, I’ll beat you so badly you won’t get out of bed for a month."

Saying this, he picked up a nearby stick, readying himself to strike Ye Xiu.

From a distance, the other members of the thirteen external families saw that Ye Xiu and Xing Ming were about to come to blows. People from the Xing and Wei families quickly ran over and surrounded the two, while the others watched the unfolding drama from afar.

"Ming, what’s going on?" asked Xing Futang, one of the Xing Family’s three masters above the War God realm.

"Young Master Fei told me to butcher a pig and cook some meat for everyone, but Ye Liangchen wants to sell off all the livestock and vegetables!" Xing Ming said, feigning indignation. He subtly gave Xing Futang and Xing Chunlei, another of the Xing Family’s masters above the War God realm, a meaningful look.

His words immediately displeased not only the Xing and Wei families but the other external families as well. What right does Ye Liangchen have to stop us from eating meat?

Catching Xing Ming’s hint, Xing Futang and Xing Chunlei immediately understood his true intention. Long Yifei wants to use this as an opportunity to deal with Ye Liangchen.

Xing Futang said coldly, "Ye Liangchen, you are openly defying Young Master Fei’s command and making an enemy of the thirteen external families."

His statement was a clear attempt to turn all the other families against Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu sneered. "The Long Family Manor is mine. Allowing all of you to live here for free is already showing the Long Family a great deal of respect. What business is it of yours if I want to sell my own livestock and food?"

"Stop trying to twist reason," Xing Chunlei rebuked. "It’s obvious you’re deliberately making things difficult for us."

Xing Futang added, "Ye Liangchen, everyone from the thirteen external families is here. If you dare to sell the livestock and vegetables, don’t blame us for getting rough."
