Chapter 933: You Wretch
Jiang Qi’s residence is situated deep within the Jiang Ancient Clan in a grand hall.
This hall, known as ’Qingyun Hall,’ is one of the most solemn and mysterious places in the whole Jiang Ancient Clan.
The hall is surrounded by tall bluestone walls, carved with ancient runes and totems, emanating powerful Spiritual Energy.
In front of the main entrance of the hall, two majestic stone lions stand silently, as if guarding everything here without a word.
Inside Qingyun Hall, the lighting is dim, and a huge crystal lamp hanging from the ceiling emits a soft glow, reflecting on the surrounding bronze wall decorations, casting a cold gleam.
In the center of the hall, a large green jade fan is placed, covered with various ancient books and scrolls, appearing extremely solemn and busy.
Qin Yue gently pushed open the hall’s door, her steps light as she walked in.
Upon entering the hall, she immediately felt a strong sense of oppression, as if the air was permeated with anger.
Standing in the center of the hall was Jiang Qi, dressed in a black Long Robe, the hem slightly swaying with his movements.
His features were handsome, but at this moment twisted from anger.
And the green jade fan in his hand swung fiercely through the air, producing a gusty whistling sound.
"Damn it! That wretched Xue Wei!" Jiang Qi roared, his voice echoing through the hall like thunder, deafening.
He suddenly slapped the green jade fan on the table, and powerful Spiritual Power shook the entire hall, causing the ancient books and scrolls on the table to scatter on the ground like countless flying butterflies.
Jiang Qi’s eyes flickered with cold light.
His hand gripped the green jade fan tightly, trembling slightly with anger. He swung the fan viciously, the sound reverberating through the hall like thunder.
"And that wretched Ye Qingchen! He’s still alive!" Jiang Qi roared, his voice filled with resentment and unwillingness, "I’ve spent so much effort, yet I still can’t kill him! Xue Wei is useless!"
Jiang Qi’s face was ashen, looking extremely sinister, his anger seemingly about to burn Qingyun Hall to ashes.
At that moment, Qin Yue gently pushed open the hall’s door, her steps light as she walked in.
She saw Jiang Qi’s rage, her heart stirred, but she maintained a calm expression on her face.
She walked slowly up to Jiang Qi, smiling slightly, her voice carrying a hint of sarcasm.
"Saint Heir, it seems you are quite displeased with Ye Qingchen’s survival, huh." Qin Yue said lightly, her tone teasing, "But do you really think you have the ability to kill him?"
Hearing this, Jiang Qi’s anger intensified, his eyes flashed cold.
He suddenly turned around, glaring at Qin Yue, his voice razor-sharp like an Ice Blade: "Qin Yue, what do you mean? Are you mocking me?"
Qin Yue met Jiang Qi’s gaze fearlessly, her smile becoming more pronounced.
She said slowly: "Saint Heir, it’s not me mocking you; it’s the truth. Ye Qingchen’s strength, far beyond what you can imagine. The fact that he survived your encampment already proves everything."
She paused for a moment, then continued: "Your little tricks, are nothing more than practice for Ye Qingchen. Do you think you can kill him with these? You’re too naive."
Jiang Qi’s face grew even darker, he gripped the green jade fan tightly, his fingers white with anger.
He said through gritted teeth: "Qin Yue, don’t forget who you’re standing in front of! I, Jiang Qi, am not someone to be laughed at!"
Qin Yue laughed coldly, without backing down: "Saint Heir, I certainly know who I’m talking to. But so what?"
Jiang Qi’s anger, instead of diminishing under Qin Yue’s calm and sharp sarcasm, became more intense.
His face was ashen, the anger in his eyes as hot as a volcano ready to erupt.
He gripped the green jade fan tightly, swung it fiercely into the air, creating a piercing windbreaking sound.
"Qin Yue, you vile woman!" Jiang Qi roared in uncontrollable anger, his voice echoing through the hall, as if to tear the entire space apart, "How dare you talk to me like this?! Don’t forget, you are nothing more than my prisoner now!"
At these words, Qin Yue’s cold smile did not disappear, though a flicker of cold light flashed in her eyes.
She stood straight, not flinching at Jiang Qi’s fury, looking at him coldly.
"Prisoner?" Qin Yue said slowly, her voice icy, "Jiang Qi, do you really believe you can imprison me forever? I stay only because I know Ye Qingchen will come to save me. Your threats are useless to me."
Jiang Qi’s anger reached its peak, he stepped forward abruptly, almost getting close to Qin Yue’s face, madness flashing in his eyes.
He said through gritted teeth: "Ye Qingchen? He’s nothing but a lucky survivor of a disaster! Sooner or later I’ll eradicate him completely, making you watch him die in front of you!"
Qin Yue did not back down, her gaze steadfast as she met Jiang Qi’s angry glare: "Jiang Qi, you’ll never be able to kill Ye Qingchen. Your so-called plans and means, are a joke in front of him. Besides, no matter how you threaten me, my heart will always belong to Ye Qingchen, you’ll never have me."
Jiang Qi’s face contorted with anger, he slammed his hand against the nearby stone pillar, powerful Spiritual Power making the pillar emit a dull sound, cracks rapidly spreading.
His breath was rapid, evidently thoroughly enraged by Qin Yue’s words.
"Qin Yue!" Jiang Qi roared, his voice thunderous and deafening, "Do you think this will anger me? You’re too naive! What I, Jiang Qi, want, I always get!"
Qin Yue remained calm, knowing that she could not show weakness at this moment.
She took a deep breath, continued in a calm and firm voice: "Jiang Qi, you can’t force me to change my mind. Everything you do only makes you lose more, ultimately suffering the consequences yourself."
Jiang Qi’s anger had no outlet, he glared fiercely at Qin Yue, the green jade fan in his hand nearly crushed.
He knew that every word Qin Yue said stabbed at his sore spot, yet he was powerless to retort.
Because he knew that now Ye Qingchen’s Realm was on par with his, he wasn’t sure he could kill him either. And Qin Yue’s loyalty to Ye Qingchen was something he could never sway.
"Get out!" Jiang Qi finally roared, his voice filled with helplessness and resentment, "Go back to your side hall! Don’t let me see you again!"
Qin Yue smiled slightly, turned around without hesitation and left Qingyun Hall.
She knew that Jiang Qi’s anger wouldn’t affect her determination, as long as Ye Qingchen was alive, she had endless hope.
On the other side.
Ye Qingchen was dressed in a white robe, his steps light, as if blending into this summer breeze.
He walked along the bluestone path toward Xue Zhao’s residence, a secluded courtyard surrounded by ancient trees.
The courtyard door was half open, wisps of fragrance wafting from inside, giving a sense of tranquility and warmth.
