After nearly an hour of hammering, when Elder Grenum, looking slightly tired, handed Counterattacker back, he said something that made Raine’s heart jolt:

If Counterattacker failed, in this world where gods truly existed, Raine would find it very hard to feel any sense of security.

Even his Golden Finger couldn’t make up for this, at least not for now.

But it was different now; it was equivalent to having an extra life.
