Chapter 359 - 208: Advancement and Plan (Part 2)
He actually broke through during the battle and advanced to Level 5 Classes!
Besides the Ice Spike Combo advancing to Level 2, Raine glanced at the attribute panel, and just like last time, his Power and Constitution both increased by 1 point, and Intelligence increased by 2 points.
And the fatigue from two consecutive battles almost vanished!
The most beneficial aspect of advancing is that it can almost instantly restore most of the consumed stamina.
"Oh my! A breakthrough during battle!" Henry’s eyes widened. He quickly walked over, circling Raine as if to re-evaluate him.
Such a breakthrough during battle is extremely rare. Of course, when considering the level of the entire Soladin Kingdom, there are always a few young talents each year who achieve this, becoming the darlings of bards or the topic of discussion in taverns.
But the question is, how many people can witness it with their own eyes?
At least Henry, before this, had never seen someone achieve a breakthrough during battle in person.
"A lucky insight!" Raine said with a smile.
Advancing to Level 5 Classes was far more exhilarating for him than killing another Frost Giant captain.
On one hand, he already had the Monster Skill of the Frost Giant captain.
On the other hand, even if he killed this female Frost Giant captain, he would only have two Frost Giant captain icons, still halfway to four, but he had heard there were only two Frost Giant captains this time.
"Damn those Frost Giants, they just attack on sight without giving us a chance to explain!" Henry looked around, seeing the Third Squad’s numerous dead Royal Guards around, and complained angrily.
These were the elites he brought from the Royal Capital of the Soladin Kingdom. Too many casualties would lower his evaluation by the higher-ups, something Henry was unwilling to see.
Moreover, the sudden appearance of the Frost Giants also completely disrupted his original plan to seize the Necromancy Crystal.
Although the Frost Giants suffered heavy losses too, losing a captain and several giants, the greatest threat, the Frost Giant Commander, still remained. If they chose to head to the Ice Lake now, they might encounter it again.
But if they chose to surround and kill the Frost Giant Commander, its strength was formidable, potentially causing heavy casualties on his side, which would utterly ruin his subsequent plan to seize the Necromancy Crystal.
Hearing Henry’s words made Raine feel a bit awkward.
He thought that the Frost Giants’ revenge was largely due to him.
However, this was not the time to reveal the truth.
"Ahem... Congratulations, Raine!" The heavily injured Baron Olsen sheathed his Great Sword, walked over, and patted Raine’s shoulder with a smile.
"Lord Baron, what about your injuries?"
"Don’t worry, just a minor wound! Back on the battlefield, I’ve suffered far more serious injuries. But your advancement to Level 5 Classes is indeed worthy of celebration."
Wait!
Suddenly, Henry looked at Raine with a burning gaze and said.
"Raine, before your advancement, you could already contend with a Frost Giant captain. Now, facing the Frost Giant Commander, you might actually hold your own in a battle, right?"
Hmm?
Raine looked at Henry’s expression, starting to understand his intention.
"Lord Viscount, you mean...."
"To surround and kill that Frost Giant Commander! If possible, I will have Gregory lure it here, and with you, Lord Benest, this Drow Elf lady, along with the Critic Team and the Royal Guard, could we eliminate the Frost Giant Commander?"
This was something Henry had just suddenly thought of.
Raine had advanced!
He became stronger!
Perhaps, the cost of surrounding and killing that Frost Giant Commander wouldn’t be as high as previously expected!
At this moment, Gregory was engaged in a skirmish with the Frost Giant Commander to the northwest. If the plan was feasible, then Gregory would draw it over immediately.
...
Deep within the Lankote Snowfield.
At the highest point of a series of continuous glaciers, on a steep cliff as straight as it was knife-cut, there were dozens of unearthed ice caves of varying sizes.
Even the smallest ice cave entrance seemed big enough to accommodate seven to eight people entering and exiting together.
In the surrounding sky, snowflakes danced, and the occasional passing of several frolicking white dragon hatchlings indicated the identity of the nest’s owner—a White Dragon.
Inside the largest ice cave.
Two enormous White Dragons lay sprawled on the solid ice, their long necks raised, looking towards the depths of the cave.
From the depths of the ice cave came heavy footsteps, and the sound of air stirring by a large body, and then a towering White Dragon, enveloped in a mist-like thin ice, emerged.
As it moved, a pair of massive retracted wings trembled slightly, the white dragon scales on its body were larger than a human male’s palm, not smooth but with some kind of protrusion and mysterious pattern.
The top of its giant head was covered with dense spikes, and its crocodile-like snout was also encrusted with finer white scales, while its sharp teeth were ten times that of a crocodile.
This was none other than Avia Rinssagass, known as the "Wings of the Icefield," a White Dragon who had long entered its prime.
"(In Dragon Language) Honorable mother, did you call us back for something?" one of the White Dragons bowed respectfully and inquired.
"Bing Zhuo, Han Zhuo, just a while ago, I sensed a trace of evil presence emerging in the southern part of the icefield." Avia said, her voice grand and thunderous despite being a female White Dragon.
Hearing this, the two White Dragons exchanged glances, both feeling a bit surprised.
