Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chapter 743 - 763: Superpowerful Experts

Chu Linfeng’s mastery of Fire Transformation had reached a high level, with flames that, while not yet Celestial Fire, were close to Earth Fire, instantly attacking the mass of resentment.

However, the resentment seemed to suddenly gain intelligence, quickly separating to let Chu Linfeng’s flames hit empty air—a phenomenon he had never encountered before.

When the flames disappeared, the resentment reassembled itself in an eerie fashion. Chu Linfeng was startled and launched another fire attack, but the result was the same, prompting him to curse:

"Damn it! I refuse to believe I can’t extinguish you!" With that, he unleashed a Celestial Slash, knowing it couldn’t destroy the resentment but at least could disperse it, making it slower to recombine so he could gradually break it down.

While his hopes were high, the reality was harsh. The resentment showed no intention of dodging, and the powerful Sword Qi passed through it without shattering it, continuing beyond.

Chu Linfeng was stunned; the resentment was unaffected by physical attacks, only fearing fire. Suddenly, he felt uncertain while two formidable experts were fast approaching.

"Sister Yue’Er, I’m in trouble! This resentment can’t be destroyed. Do you have any other ideas?" Chu Linfeng urgently asked. If he couldn’t destroy the resentment now, he’d have no chance once the experts arrived, and if the resentment escaped or was absorbed by the Ghost Race, he’d be the Netherworld’s eternal sinner.

"Try using your Power of Thunder and Lightning; it might work, though I’m not sure since you haven’t learned Thunder Transformation and can’t release powerful lightning attacks," Sword Spirit advised.

Without hesitation, Chu Linfeng channeled the Thunder Element from his body into his palm and struck at the resentment. Instantly, a lightning bolt as thick as a thumb shot from his hand, hitting the resentment.

This attack worked; Chu Linfeng saw the resentment significantly reduce, destroyed by his lightning. Continued strikes could annihilate it entirely.

The resentment seemed to realize Chu Linfeng’s threat, attempting to flee at high speed. Shocked, Chu Linfeng exclaimed, "Trying to escape? Not a chance!" He quickly chased and unleashed more lightning from his palm.

After a relentless pursuit, Chu Linfeng destroyed part of the resentment. But he stopped suddenly, faced with a person blocking him, who gave off an aura of a formidable expert, at least in the Second Level of Venerable Martial Realm.

"Kid, you have quite the skills to destroy resentment. Do you know how important it is to me? Leave quietly, or I’ll kill you on the spot," the man threatened.

Chu Linfeng glanced at the man and laughed, "Are you out of your mind or blind? What does me destroying resentment have to do with you? Don’t think you’re fearsome just because you’re powerful; I’m not buying it."

The man, a middle-aged man in a gray robe, looked similar to Humans, but Chu Linfeng knew he was from the Ghost Race. As he mentioned the resentment’s importance to him, absorbing it would make him the strongest in the Netherworld, which Chu Linfeng couldn’t allow.

"You’re courting death, refusing goodwill. I’ll oblige this time!" The man shouted, waving his hand to send a gray energy towards Chu Linfeng.

Chu Linfeng didn’t know what this gray energy was but sensed its power. Inside, the Wood Element was frantically moving as if to escape—a bizarre reaction.

"Lin Feng, dodge quickly! It’s Death Qi. If it touches you, it’ll be troublesome. The Ghost Race practices such forbidden Martial Skills—a truly reprehensible person. If they acquire resentment, it’ll be terrifying," Sword Spirit warned.

Chu Linfeng had never heard of Death Qi, but trusted Sword Spirit’s warning and quickly dodged aside, then teleported away before flying in pursuit of the escaping resentment.

As fast as Chu Linfeng was, the Ghost Race person was shocked the youth dodged his attack easily. Realizing his intent, he quickly pursued the resentment, not wanting to miss this chance to enhance his power.

Just then, an elder from the ruins arrived above the Martial Arts Training Ground, seeing the devastation below, filled with rage. "I must find the true culprit of this event and tear them to pieces!"

Expanding his powerful Divine Sense, he quickly found two figures flying in the distance. One’s power matched his own, prompting him to suspect, "Could this be the one who destroyed Wangtu City?" He hurried towards Chu Linfeng and the other.

The elder teleported, albeit not as far as Chu Linfeng could, and within a few teleports, he saw a Ghost Race youth battling a middle-aged man with resentment fleeing quickly nearby.

Understanding instantly, the elder couldn’t identify the Ghost Race youth but recognized the other as the Ghost Race’s doing.

Hurrying to Chu Linfeng’s position, he brandished a black staff at the Ghost Race man. "You old scoundrel, committing such heinous deeds, I won’t tolerate it!"

His staff twirled, creating multiple phantom images smashing towards the middle-aged man. Chu Linfeng sensed the strike’s power, knowing the surrounding space vibrated intensely as Astral Winds swept outwards.

This attack from the elder rivaled his Celestial Slash, forcing the Ghost Race man to dodge, "Yangtian, don’t push me too far! I have no grudge against you; why are you attacking me?"

Saying this, he quickly struck back with a palm before dodging aside, glaring angrily at the elder.

Chu Linfeng felt both nervous and thrilled. If these two fought, he’d have time to destroy the resentment. But if they reconciled, facing two formidable adversaries was unbearable; he needed the fight to happen.
