Beneath the Red Dragon

This is a Mind Flayer, or you could call it a Brain-eating Monster.

These repulsive creatures, according to many Mages’ records, would cooperate with the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish at the depths of the deep sea, forming alliances.

It’s not only because these two monsters share almost the same goal—to conquer all races, to subject the world to their rule, treating the living beings of other races in the world as livestock.

It’s also because the origin of both the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish and the Mind Flayer races is equally ancient and powerful.

The Mind Flayer race, in some ancient records, is said not to be a race that exists in the current world; these repulsive monsters come from a future era.

In that future era, the Mind Flayers believe in their own racial Deity—Yil Shen Sine.

Under the leadership of the Deity that the Mind Flayers worship, these repulsive creatures dominated the future Cosmos, becoming the sole rulers, viewing all races as livestock-like beings, and established a Multi-Cosmos Empire belonging to the Mind Flayers.

But in the future Cosmos, all matter and worlds faced unprecedented destruction.

And the Ghis People enslaved by the Mind Flayers, after long-lasting enslavement, developed resistance to the Mind Flayers’ Psychic Energy Control Magic, initiating an unprecedented rebellion that accelerated the destruction in the Cosmos.

Thus, these Mind Flayers gathered all the surviving forces of the Mind Flayer Empire, using an extremely powerful Psychic Energy Skill, to draw energy from thousands of suns still shining in the Cosmos, rewriting the reality of the Multi-Cosmos where the Mind Flayer Empire resided.

These Mind Flayers forcibly twisted the world timeline to one where the Ghis rebellion never existed, and the Mind Flayer Empire never collapsed.

But even beings as powerful as Deities cannot arbitrarily distort space-time; these survivors of the Mind Flayer Empire scattered across infinite Multi-Cosmos, from the future to various parts of the current universe.

The Mind Flayers avoided total destruction, but the world presented itself in a completely new perspective to them.

At least in Karon Gogomola’s understanding, the Ghis People in this universe have now made hunting Mind Flayers a rite of passage.

The Mind Flayers are certainly powerful, but the Ghis People are born with strong Psychic Energy resistance, and most importantly, these Ghis People, under the maneuvers of the previous leaders, received help from the Nine Prisons’ strong entities—the Immortal, and the Five-Colored Dragon God Tiamat.

This means that the Mind Flayers not only have to face the Ghis People but also the Red Dragon.

And this Mind Flayer seems unlikely to fare better than its kin, because it is facing a group of Giant Dragons.

"Let me go, Giant Dragons, we Mind Flayers won’t hold you accountable for the sins of ruining our great plan. If Mind Flayers once again rule the world, we might promise to grant you power to rule the land on our behalf."

This Mind Flayer’s long tentacles moved like an octopus, yet communicated and engaged through mental power, the powerful psychic frequency translating into a meaning comprehensible to all races.

But these ancient races might still be basking in past glories, failing to recognize the situation they are facing.

Lines of Giant Dragon Lords and Dragon Kings sat serenely, indifferent cold smiles revealed between their bared fangs, looking particularly intimidating.

The Mind Flayer’s Spiritual Ability Skill and mental Mind Shock earlier couldn’t even cause a ripple among these Giant Dragons.

"Kneel, you disgusting creature, ask for forgiveness from the Emperor of the Imperial, maybe you can earn the forgiveness of the Giant Dragons, otherwise, you shall remain here forever!"

White Dragon Sloraka spoke voluntarily, a deep Dragon Language voice sounded.

This male White Dragon, like a big cat poised to hunt, spread its mighty wings, its sturdy hind limbs dug into the thick carpet, its huge forepaws already hunched low, its body arching to rise.

"Though you Giant Dragons are powerful, daring to obstruct the ancient Mind Flayer Empire and the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish’s plans from the deep sea, you will end up like those Nagas, having your brains sucked dry, memories and personalities stolen, turning you into puppets without independent consciousness,"

The Mind Flayer, vibrating its mind, shouted loudly: "If you dare act against me, you will face a miserably grim end, the Mind Flayer Empire will use you as experimental materials, converting you all into Brain-eating Monsters!"

Karon’s stony face suddenly lifted a slight curve, revealing those massive fangs as he chuckled softly: "You have quite a bold idea, then let us throw you into the laboratory, let the Imperial Mages ask about the grandeur of your plan!"

"Roar," With Ancestral Red Dragon’s permission, White Dragon Sloraka let out a Dragon Roar.

"You’re courting death, daring to defy the will of the King of Dragons in the Dragon’s Royal Court, ignoring the will of the Dragon Group, you damnable reptile!"

Having long prepared for this moment, the male White Dragon Sloraka finally waited for this instant, finally awaited the moment to fulfill its own desire.

The thunderous Dragon Roar erupted from between White Dragon Sloraka’s fangs, as the immense form of this male White Dragon collided with unprecedented strength and speed into the Mind Flayer, the enormous head with dragon horns, a blatant siege weapon.

Intense psychic energy light erupted within the Mind Flayer’s body, far stronger mental interference and Mind Shock than before, transformed into a highly condensed conical shock wave, rushing towards White Dragon Sloraka.

The four rugged tentacles around its mouth were also potent weapons of the Mind Flayers, at this moment reaching for White Dragon Sloraka’s head, aiming to grasp the White Dragon’s skull, then suck the White Dragon’s brain from its cranium.
