Chapter 700 - 102: Wisdom and Strength (Part 2)
Bo Rong shook his head and calmly said, "It’s hard for me to understand the scheming and struggles among those mortal creatures. Your future far surpasses such worldly trivialities, and you shouldn’t waste your time on them."
"Because whether you use your empire as a tool, or learn from some beings to cultivate civilization, those divine spirits will not allow a civilization strong enough to challenge them to appear."
Bo Rong’s voice was unperturbed, "Whether in this cosmos or other universes, there have been civilizations like elves, goblins, and mages, flourishing to the extent of challenging the divine glory."
"But in the end, they were still obliterated by the divine spirits, either directly or indirectly. Even the divine spirits within the Elf Pantheon, having powerful Main Gods, and other races having their own divine spirits, cannot avoid such a fate."
"The divine spirits are accustomed to being on high, so they must forever remain on high!"
Karon slightly narrowed his eyes, his thick eyebrows arching like swords, "You and I have different thoughts, so naturally, you cannot understand my actions."
"Just like looking at history, one cannot simply view it through the lens of power struggles and class changes, but also through economic laws. The existence of the empire can, to some extent, provide me with inspiration and assistance."
"Moreover, I am a Giant Dragon, naturally inclined to enjoy."
But Bo Rong did not respond to the Ancestral Red Dragon, instead, he cast his gaze downward, seeing the creature climbing step by step to the top along the majestic mountain ranges.
The gray-white Dragon Scale was particularly conspicuous on his cheek, clearly a Dragon Descendant at the peak of Life Force, yet exuding a twilight aura.
Dragon Descendant Cranris was precisely the first resurrected soul to step out from the Divine Hall hidden in the corner of the Icaria World.
"Have you already decided how to proceed?" Bo Rong looked at the Dragon Descendant, thousands of meters between them couldn’t block such a being’s gaze, the aura of Dragon Descendant Cranris was fully apparent in Bo Rong’s eyes, without concealment.
Although unable to see through the deepest secrets of this Dragon Descendant, as a fragment of Alien God consciousness, Bo Rong could discern this unique aura.
Karon wasn’t relying on his brain to calculate and infer, seeing all trends and the future. Rather, the information about Dragon Descendant Cranris had long been stored in the empire’s vast information library, analyzed and presented to him.
From the moment Dragon Descendant Cranris first submitted a proposal to establish a Divine Hall to the Imperial religious department, information collection and analysis targeting Cranris had already begun.
Now with people like Mentat aiding in processing governmental information, the empire had begun to establish a large information database, containing not only information on many races living within the empire.
But also information on civilization outside the empire, the Northern Countries. And this information converged within every tendril of the empire, including the Eye of Dark Crow, the Imperial unification planning department, and commercial groups spread in various locations.
Even bookstores and Giant Dragon Card Halls located in the Northern Countries were becoming part of this vast information network.
Karon looked at the Dragon Descendant’s cautious demeanor and said lightly, "Whether or not ready, the laws and operations of the world will never be decided by my will."
"I summoned you here to ask you since these beings have already begun to appear, how much longer until your predicted time?"
"At most a few decades, at least maybe ten years," Bo Rong’s tone exhibited rare fluctuation, he said in a deep voice, "Once those souls begin to descend en masse, it means these pitiful souls need to grow to the limit using this world’s resources in a very short time. If they succeed, they can continue to survive, and provide value for the beings behind them."
"If they fail, they will perish with the world, and the beings behind them will abandon them, reaping their souls."
Karon nodded and sighed, "Truly pitiful souls, if it’s ten years, the time seems a bit tight, if several decades later, my confidence will be much greater."
For many races among the mortals, ten years or several decades is already a long time.
But for Giant Dragons, this long-lived race, or the world, whether ten years or several decades, seems exceptionally brief. Brief enough that for Giant Dragons, it is just a long sleep, brief enough that for the world, it’s just a gentle blink.
"But you have not yet ascended to Legend,"
Bo Rong’s tone was contemplative, impossible to discern its meaning.
"I do not smell the scent of destiny from this cosmos on you, indicating that you have not yet undergone the choice of legendary fate!"
"With your potential, only by ascending above Legend will you be qualified to become a player in the world of Icaria."
Karon withdrew his gaze from the Dragon Descendant and raised his hand, grasping emptily in the air.
"Although life has a myriad of choices, there is actually only one direction, and how to walk it can only be decided by oneself,"
Karon said in a deep voice, "I will not disrupt my pace because of someone else’s rhythm."
"Besides, it is not I who will become the player in Icaria, but the civilization I create with the Dragon Group—the Golden Empire!"
Bo Rong asked softly, "What difference does it make? Who doesn’t know that it is you who stands in the shadow behind the Golden Empire, but with the empire’s power, with your current strength, it is still insufficient to become the player of the entire world."
