Chapter 338 - 128: No Tolerance for Defiance
Blue Dragon Akzhi stopped in front of the plaza gardens before the King’s Castle with Blue Dragon Carlette and Red Dragon Kedelos, while the two-legged flying dragon group behind the young female Green Dragon Ali had already been held off by the warriors of the Flying Dragon Corps and led to the beast pen, where these untamed two-legged flying dragons were treated the same as beasts.
Except for Blue Dragon Akzhi, the other dragons were currently not qualified to step into this fortress that represented territorial sovereignty. They could only endure, maintaining their limited patience, and wait on the plaza to be summoned.
But Blue Dragon Akzhi did not expect that on this seemingly ordinary day, a dragon council was being held in the King’s Castle, and that all the Giant Dragon Lords, except for him, were already gathered.
When the Blue Dragon stepped into the castle, what he saw was not the usual lazy body of the Red Dragon Monarch but a gathering of dragons perched on the Black Stone Throne, along with four White Dragons twisting their long necks, glancing back.
These White Dragons bore slight traces of battle, with scratches from blades and axes on their scales, clearly indicating they had fought recently, so much so that the healing details of the wounds on their bodies could still be discerned.
The leading White Dragon was a young dragon, but this young dragon was different from the two White Dragons in the group. The young White Dragon was covered with a thick layer of feathers, much like those long-haired beasts of the prairie.
The feathers were dense and tough, replacing the original scale armor, covering the White Dragon’s skin.
Blue Dragon Akzhi looked at these White Dragons with some surprise; it was his first time seeing White Dragons with such appearance and form.
Although White Dragons can naturally have two different appearances due to environmental and individual reasons, the other form of White Dragon is actually very rare, as rare as a sage appearing among the White Dragon race.
The other three White Dragons were normal White Dragons with white scales, but aside from a young female White Dragon, the remaining two were simply skinny juvenile female White Dragons.
These White Dragons looked like normal White Dragons, a small dragon species, with the leading young male White Dragon measuring only just over fourteen meters, nearing fifteen meters. The young female White Dragon was only twelve meters, and the other two juvenile female dragons measured just over six meters.
"Akhzi, come in,"
The body of the Red Dragon, towering on the Black Stone Throne, lay coiled, and as the Red Dragon’s Dragon Language voice rang out, five steel-like claws opened, and a Black Stone Throne slowly rose from the floor, to stand beside the other Giant Dragon Lords.
This effect could be easily achieved with the magic arrays attached to the massive castle and the inherent talent of the Red Dragon Monarch.
The blazing flame lamp beneath the central dome was the surface core controlling the entire castle’s magic array, and the never-extinguishing fire core was a central node of the entire magic array.
Blue Dragon Akzhi slightly bowed his head, nodded toward the distant Red Dragon, then hooked the edge of the Black Stone Throne with the hooks of his wings, leaping up to crouch on his seat like the other Giant Dragon Lords, overlooking the unexpectedly appearing White Dragons.
"Alright, you may continue, Sloraka," the Red Dragon on the throne spoke again, the layered echoes reverberating in the vast hall of the castle.
"I can join your dragon group with a few White Dragons, but I should be granted a territory. If you agree to my conditions, I can help recruit those White Dragons likely to flee at any moment. ’Ice Prison’ Sakles’s continuous failures have made him unable to control the dragon group he’s trying to conquer and gather,"
"And you, in turn, need to fend off the White Dragons sent by ’Ice Prison’ Sakles that may be dispatched as hunters from afar."
The White Dragon known as Sloraka, like most White Dragons, was not fond of communication, hence his slow Dragon Language, as if thinking over his words as he spoke.
Upon hearing the White Dragon’s request, Green Dragon Antajena, lying on a nearby Black Stone Throne, could not help but bare her teeth, her lengthy neck stretching forward to emit a low growl.
"Karon’s goal requires consolidating more power, which prompted the creation of such a grand dragon council. But every member of the dragon group, except for Camid, is a True Dragon mastering dragon blood,"
"But these White Dragons, what are they? They look like feeble beasts, wanting to stand beside us without having created any value whatsoever?"
"You do not have this qualification!" The Green Dragon’s wing hooks gripped the sides of the Black Stone Throne, her long neck craning forward, her head seeming to wear a jade crown as she stared down at the surrounded White Dragons.
Blue Dragon Doss observed the reactions around him, especially focusing on the few White Dragons in the group, noticing even they bore disdainful expressions. Blue Dragon Akzhi’s slit pupils were filled with contempt and arrogance, apparently resonating deeply with Green Dragon’s words.
He then turned his gaze to the indifferent Black Dragon.
Black Dragon Rosani’s expression was equally proud, his dragon horns gradually growing toward the front of his head, as if wrapping his head’s cheeks in a layer of dragon horn face armor.
"You’re nothing but a group of cowardly, battle-fearing dragons, you should kneel and beg us to take you in, rather than make demands here."
The nearby female Red Dragon Kleyna glanced at the silent Red Dragon and lazily remarked, "When they first stepped into our territory, they even killed some of our Kobold sentinels, it’s only fitting that they suffer punishment,"
