Chapter 616 - 247: Divine Chosen, Escape
Fishing corpses out of icy water isn’t easy!
With great rewards, there’ll always be those willing to take the risk.
Yi Tian offered a high price of ten Points Coins for every corpse fished out, and Galaxy Agriculture Company jumped in headfirst.
Aside from pending rewards, this basically counts as a successful assessment.
Second Child teamed up with the territory’s raptors, hunting for any remaining fugitives hiding out.
The other kiddos just ran off to play!
Yi Tian summed up this assessment.
The Celestial Dao Rules dropped their restrictions, giving Yi Tian’s territory a huge boost in strength.
The source Yi Tian left behind can still unleash Five Elements Divine Light one more time.
Celestial Blade wasn’t used.
Infinite Celestial Eye wasn’t used!
Yi Tian still has plenty left in the tank.
This put Yi Tian at ease—for now.
If he had been forced to go all out against two King-level influences, he’d have nothing left for the Venerable-level influence, and that’d spell big trouble.
Venerable-level influences have SSS-level talents. Maybe even Divine-level talents, probably more than a few.
End of the day, Yi Tian’s territory’s talents absolutely crushed Nulei Dynasty and Celestial Feather Dynasty.
Still, there were shortcomings in this battle.
Not enough air defense. Almost got led around by the nose by the Celestial Feather Dynasty.
If Celestial Feather Dynasty split their forces:
One branch to the south, one to the north, and rushed in at the same time—Yi Tian City would’ve lost a ton of resources.
The territory members are top-notch; Yi Tian doesn’t have to worry much.
In the snowy field, leaning against the bloodstained city wall, Yi Tian opened up the chat system.
The Lord that Yi Tian had his eye on in Zone 66 shouldn’t die, since Yi Tian lent Dashao the Rainstorm Pear Blossom Needle.
Though, Yi Tian reckons Dashao probably won’t even need it. Purple Phoenix Moon Dance said the Star Race are a top-level race.
The Star Race is the smallest among the top-level races, with even fewer people than Heaven-Supporting Race by a factor of a hundred.
They’re famous in the cosmos for their Inference Skill. Purple Phoenix Moon Dance even said most of the universe’s disasters are masterminded by the Star Race.
Even if the Star Race did nothing all day but eat, drink, sleep, their three-dimension stats would still hit over 1000.
A Star Race member entering an ordinary region with three-dimension stats barely past fifty? Makes zero sense.
A Star Race member calling themselves "Old Man" drifting into a Lord World full of young people—makes even less sense.
Yi Tian can’t be bothered for now; Dashao’s keeping his chat channel open, if anyone’s about to die, they can ask Dashao for the Rainstorm Pear Blossom Needle.
By now, most battles that had to end have ended, only a handful are still struggling. They’re clinging to a shred of hope, stubbornly refusing to hire mercenaries.
They were supposed to get pretty snowflakes, but once a mercenary shows up, those snowflakes melt away, gone with the wind.
Zone 66 ID count: 32,568.
Another wave dead!
Even if things change from here, it won’t be much.
"Damn it, lost several buildings, huge points loss. I was supposed to get two Platinum Treasure Chests, but a few buildings got demolished, dozens of subordinates died, now I only get one chest." Heaven-Supporting Race Tianjin Mi said.
"Boo hoo... it’s over. I get to live another month. If winter’s over, can spring be far?"
"I gave it everything I had to protect my crematorium, still lost two buildings. This round of Indigenous People is way tougher!" Pigman Race Pig Boar.
"Heh heh! Limon Beastmen tried attacking me, sent a B-level Talent—who do they think they’re kidding?" Black Stone Star Human Race Shan Dashan. He was bribed by Limon Beastmen as an inside man, but then they found out he only took money and didn’t deliver, now hates them. They thought he was small fry, sent only a B-level talent, but got wrecked by Shan Dashan’s S-level Talent.
"Hard to take, I lost a building too. Once you reach C-level strength, little city walls don’t cut it... Enemies just hop right in. Good thing I can still get a Platinum Treasure Chest." Sheepman Race Yang Yangyang.
"Indigenous People are shameless, they teleported away all the resources I worked my ass off to stockpile."
"How am I going to get through the new month? Is it just gonna keep getting colder?" Even some Lords who passed their assessments are full of worries.
"Gather wood! Don’t sell your cotton and fur." Earth Human Race Yi Tian.
Never heard of anyone getting air conditioners or heating installed.
Most Lords have to burn firewood to survive the winter.
Wood shouldn’t be hard; everyone’s first round of seedlings is mature now.
If not, use a Mist Scroll, go outside and chop some trees.
Fur’s the tough one—the auction house’s been empty for ages.
Last month, Yi Tian didn’t tip off the zone, because Yi Tian knew that once he made a move, news would spread across the entire Celestial Dao World in no time.
Zone 10086 and Zone 66 aren’t all that pure, either.
...
Yi Tian put his armor back on and started grinding mercenary missions.
The King of Mercenaries roster has to have his name.
He’s not gunning for first place in mercenaries.
This is a game of getting stronger—miss one step, and you fall behind every step after.
Celestial Dao Divine Liquid, just the name sounds OP.
Ancient God Grotto Heaven—even hearing the name makes Yi Tian excited.
Yi Tian hasn’t taken on many A-level mercenary missions yet.
A-level difficulty really helps your ranking for King of Mercenaries.
Yi Tian’s strength absolutely dominates A-level, if you hire him, clearing the round is a sure thing.
Right now, the Lords who hate Wealthiest in the World don’t have time to go after him.
Yi Tian’s confident—A-level isn’t enough to take him down. Not even Divine Tianqiong.
After teleporting in, there’s a gap between the combat area and the Lord.
Enough of a buffer.
If a Lord sneaks up on him, Yi Tian actually looks forward to it. He can take over their territory and Celestial Dao Stone.
Mercenary status: active.
The long-absent Second in the World is back in the game.
In an instant, tons of Lords who’ve been keeping an eye on Second in the World, all locked onto him.
Some Lords, even after hiring mercenaries, still couldn’t pass the assessment.
Mercenaries screwing over their employers—it happens all the time!
