Looking at the pill that Veronica tossed over to Wu Sheng, the pill was pretty translucent, and a small black color centipede-like creature was remaining completely still in the middle of the pill, seemingly to be in a dormant state.
Meanwhile, the other remaining pill that was still in the bottle that Veronica took out from her spatial ring...
The pill was pretty much identical to the pill that Veronica had tossed over to Wu Sheng, just that the centipede-like creature was red in color instead of black.
Upon grabbing onto the pill with his right hand, Wu Sheng began examining closely onto the pill for a short moment, then raised his head and asked with an apprehensive look on his face.
"What is this pill...? What does it do after I have swallowed it?"
"Do you think that you are even in the position to be asking questions? Do you want to live or not? If you do, swallow the pill now."
Knowing that he had no choice but to obey whatever Veronica said if he wants to live...
Wu Sheng gave in to his fate and tossed the pill into his mouth.
The moment the pill arrived at Wu Sheng’s stomach, Wu Sheng could sense that the pill had already disintegrated completely, and the black color centipede-like creature had awakened from its slumber.
Right as the centipede-like creature had awakened from its slumber, it began crawling toward Wu Sheng’s heart.

After a minute or two had passed, upon seeing that the color of the centipede-like creature that was within her pill had changed to pink color, Veronica nodded her head in satisfaction, then said to Wu Sheng.
"Alright, good, you did as you were told. Now, swear to the heavenly dao."
After using his spiritual sense to take a quick glance at the centipede that was currently clinging onto his heart, Wu Sheng let out a deep breath, then began swearing.
"I swear to the heavenly daos, I, Wu Sheng, will not ever betray Sebastian and am genuinely intending on marrying my daughter over to Sebastian. If I am lying, or go back on my word, may I die a horrible death and have my soul suffer eternal damnation!"
"Boom!"
Right as Wu Sheng finished swearing, the loud boom of a thunder rang out in the sky above them, despite the fact that a lightning didn’t appear.
Upon hearing the thunder, the corner of Wu Sheng’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch as he stared blankly at the sky for a short moment, while Veronica and the others could be seen nodding their heads with satisfaction while looking at the night sky.
After taking in and letting out a deep breath, Wu Sheng looked over to Veronica and the others, then said with a forced smile on his face.
"Here, this should be enough to show my sincerity, right?"
Right as Wu Sheng finished speaking, Veronica looked over to Ning Zhi and Coril, and upon seeing that both Ning Zhi and Coril had nodded their heads, Veronica looked over to Wu Sheng, then spoke while holding the bottle that she was holding in her right hand in front of Wu Sheng.
